How We Experienced Stress and Lost…
How We Experienced Stress and Lost €5,125 with DreamLife Spain
This review is based on facts and documents and is intended to warn other applicants for residence permits in Spain.
1. Initial Situation
In March 2025, we contacted DreamLife Spain to arrange a residence permit in Spain for the mother and an unborn child (birth in May 2025, Valencia). The wife had a Lithuanian residence permit valid until 2027. The main goal was to obtain a residence permit for the child through the mother’s application for a Digital Nomad Visa.
The payment amounted to €1,125 (100 percent prepayment). The cooperation period was March–September 2025 (6 months).
2. Actual Result
Over 6 months, the company failed to achieve the declared result:
• documents were not submitted to UGE;
• no expediente number was obtained;
• the final document package was not prepared;
• no checklist or timeline was provided.
Legal errors in the proposed strategy made obtaining a residence permit practically impossible. We decided to terminate the cooperation despite losing the entire paid amount.
The request for a refund, including a partial refund, was rejected personally by the company owner, Alina Kabakova (letters dated 05.09 and 17.09).
3. Key Problems
Legal issues:
• an incorrect family reunification strategy was proposed;
• incorrect requirements for diploma verification were provided;
• risky recommendations regarding migration procedures were given.
Financial issues:
• pressure to declare additional income (+€1,000 per month);
• tax overpayment of approximately €2,400;
• unnecessary medical insurance costing approximately €1,600.
Organizational issues:
• lack of a project plan and deadlines;
• chaotic communication;
• manager changes without proper handover;
• lack of quality control.
4. Financial Losses
Direct losses:
• payment to DreamLife Spain: €1,125.
Indirect losses:
• tax overpayment: approximately €2,400;
• unnecessary insurance: approximately €1,600.
Total losses: approximately €5,125.
5. Final Assessment
The quality of services provided by DreamLife Spain is rated 1 out of 10.
Conclusion: cooperation with DreamLife Spain involves high legal and financial risks. The company failed to deliver the promised result and refused to discuss a refund. We cannot recommend DreamLife Spain to other clients.
All facts stated above are supported by correspondence and documents. At the same time, we believe that any financial issues, provided there is a good-faith position from all parties, can be resolved through dialogue.
