I was very dissapointed with my bed, poor workmanship bed

I was very dissapointed with my bed, bei g a caroenter myself i thought it was reasonably priced and hadnt the time to make it. When it arrived it had gaps everywhere, wo ky cuts, screws on show painted over with a long pile roller. Not being happy i called them up straight away and said you're a joinery company so i expect joinery standards, their response was "that was your assumption" although its in their name.....
Stay away, poor workmanship

Please avoid this company like the…

Please avoid this company like the plague. Had our daughters bed delivered in December just in time for Christmas which was great, the bed was built quickly which was also great but then I noticed parts of the bed was missing, I mentioned this to the man who built the bed and he assured me the bits would be posted to me to fit myself. After a few days I noticed some defects, panels falling off, screws missing, panels not lining up and the bed is very creeky We then got told that someone would personally come on the 7th January to my address to fit the missing parts and look at the defects mentioned but on the day they were meant to come we got a phone call from the company saying they are no longer trading and there’s nothing they can do to help us. I spent close to £1000 on the bed and it’s not fit for purpose. It’s a shame I live in London and they are based in Birmingham as I would be at their door.
Everyone please please do not give this so called company any of your hard earned money, the reviews from others speak for themselves, just wished I checked before loosing my money.

We welcome all feedback, both good and bad, so here is our version so you get a rounded picture of this review.

No parts were missing when this bed was installed. The customer choose one of our designs and asked us to make changes to it, that removed items from the original bed. The customer was well aware of this before the order was placed.

As for the other comments made, we feel we need to make the following statement:

When the bed was installed, the customer inspected the bed and was very happy with the quality, build and finish. The customer signed off the paperwork confirming this. The customer at this time then made payment.

No issues were raised with the team, or our office at the time of installation.

Abbotsbury Castle bed

Firstly I must say I was a little sceptical as I had read some negative comments however we are very happy with the Abbotsbury Castle bed. The installation was a friendly experience. The overall sales as well as service was superb, so thank you very much.
I personally like the fact that we can easily grab some touch up paint from any dulux provider which means any dings or damage over the years can be wood filled and touched up which is wonderful.
It’s also very easy to reinforce the stairs with a few screws if they do creek (I read someone’s comment saying they creeked).
I have a very happy home this afternoon and an extremely happy child who won’t get out of bed 🤣.
Thank you again Pandora and Chris and anyone else we dealt with. Amazing product and amazing service.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
I ordered a princess bed for my daughter and was excited when it finally arrived. The company installed the bed and the following day, before my daughter had even used the bed I noticed a number of defects. The bed had scratches and the side panel wasn’t aligned properly which made the shelf wobbly. I also noticed that the wood had been painted over without any preparation or sanding. I therefore sent an email raising concerns and requesting for a solution from Dreams jounery company. 10 days later I called as I had not received a response to my email.

The phone was answered by one of their employees *Chris and when I explained my situation and asked why I hadn’t received a response to my email he rudely told me that I had signed documentation to say that the bed is fine after installation. I explained that the issues were identified the day after installation and I was not asking for a refund but simply for the defects to be fixed.

Chris was rude and belligerent. He started raising his voice yelling at me and I asked him not to yell because I was talking to him calmly. He then said ,”I’m not the one” and told me that he had the right to yell at me because I was accusing him and he was stating facts. I told him I was stating facts too and essentially he was accusing me of lying by saying that I had scratched the bed and that the reason the panel is wonky is because my flooring is not even. Christ continued shouting at me then abruptly hung up the phone. I was disgusted and upset by the treatment I experienced, particularly as I was a paying customer and had been very calm and respectful throughout the exchange.

I bravely called back & spoke to another employee *Charlotte who confirmed that she was in the room and overheard the conversation. She agreed that Chris shouldn’t have conducted himself in such an appalling manner and informed me that I’d have to fix the shelves myself. As a gesture of goodwill’ she said she would send me paint to fix the scratches. Quite frankly I was in disbelief as their website states that they provide a stellar service and use the best quality material for their beds. I did not expect to be shouted at nor did I have any desire to take on a DIY painting and shelving project after paying £825 for what should have been a high quality bed including delivery and set up.

Charlotte apologised for Chris behaviour and I told her that Chris needs to be held accountable and I want an apology directly from him. It’s been 11 days and I still have not received paint, apology or offer for their staff to come and resolve the issue

I wish I had read the reviews on here rather than relying on their website before purchasing so BE WARNED! On top of the terrible customer service, the material they use is not even real wood and the quality is poor. There are other companies who do a finer job in the UK , yes I have found them and so can you.

We welcome all feedback, both good and bad, however untruth’s is something we will not stay quite about, so here is our version so you get a rounded picture of this.

We did receive an email 5 days after the bed was installed asking about a shelf and a scratch, this is true.

When we had a telephone conversation with the Customer and we pointed out that on the day of delivery the Customer fully inspected the bed and was happy with its build, quality and finish. The Customer was so happy in fact, she signed the paperwork confirming this, made no notes regarding any faults or scratches, and made the balancing payment. It took the Customer a week to get back to us regarding the matter she raised. 5 days after receiving the bed anyone could of made that scratch on the bed.

On the telephone call, Chris informed the Customer that as almost a week had passed, we would not come out and repair a small scratch that was not there when the installers left and could not claimed to be our doing, but we would be more than happy to send some touch up paint as a gesture of good will as there was no prove it was down to us for any damaged caused once installed in her home.

At this point the Customer changed, and not in a nice way which the call had been up to this point on both sides.

After reviewing the telephone call, we found Chris not to be at fault and was not rude. Yes, Chris reacted to what the Customer accused him off and her behaviour, which he should not off done, but he was provoked.

At no point did I (Pandora, not Charlotte, as we do not have a Charlotte working for us) say or imply that Chris conducted himself in an appalling manor. I said I will speak with him about the call after I have reviewed it.

We do not class adjusting one shelf support, and a small scratch as a major DIY project.

After this Customers appalling behaviour, we have broken all ties with them and WILL NOT put any of out staff in a situation whereby they will be verbally abused in such away.

We regret it has come to this, but if the Customer had conducted herself in a good manor then this all could have been avoided.

It also seems by there statement on this review they did not read the information on our website regarding the standard materials used by companies like us. It also seems it is only now as they are trying to find fault with us rather than except any responsibility for there actions. Strange that!

What an amazing company

What an amazing company. Had our little girls bed delivered this morning and it looks amazing. Solid, well built and finished. Defo rate them as top ofbthe class. Only downside is the delivery team did not eat all the biscuits lol. Thanks you guys amd girls.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful! Paid £1500 bed needs sanding down and re painting the the finish is awful! Wardrobe doors don’t shut on the bed and on the wardrobe there bowing inwards, company won’t answer the phone emails etc and have blocked me on social media accounts? Please do not order with this scammer company!

Had our bed delivered this morning. Highly recommend this Company! They helped us from the start to finish. Pandora and Jon provided excellent customer service.

Professional company

For some reason trustpilot keep removing my review. seems they onlt like to have bad ones online.

Dreams Joinery delivered my castle bed to us the other day. it is amazing. good quality and great customer service

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THEM.

Ordered the Leeds Castle bed which cost £1265. The company is pathetic, there quality of work is a disgrace to hard working carpenters, the cuts were bent, the joints did not align, the steps and draws were different sizes, the quality of paint used was Dulux but they didn't even bother to apply primer first, the bed makes so much noise, they filled screw holes with filler and didn't even smooth down and seriously so much more problems.

They claim on there website they professional and use quality wood and paint but its all lies, even the pictures they show are lies and probably stolen from other companies. I emailed them my concerns and after 4 weeks they replied and not even an apology, just rude customer service saying that there's nothing wrong with the bed even after I showed pictures of the bent cuts.

Anyone considering using Dreams Joinery, STOP and DO NOT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME. THIS BUSINESS DESERVES TO GO BANKRUPT AS THEY ARE A DISGRACE TO PROFESSIONAL CARPENTERS.

I ordered a bed at over £800 (im a carpenter and assumed this was a joinery company) the product turned up whilst i was at work and the quality is poor, miss aligned joints, wonky cut outs , creaky moving stairs when a year old walks up them. Im going to have to overhaul it myself.

Please dont waste your money

Please dont waste your money ...poor quality wood , inadequate fixings .
Its like it was built to break.
Considering we all know what kiddies are like this bed is so poorly put together .we went for the cottage with slide and steps for £840 wish i hadnt bothered.
worth £100 tops .
Me with my limited knowledge of carpentry could make a better / stronger bed

Appalling service

Appalling service
They delivered an Abbotsbury bed 6 weeks ago and it had a number of issues with it including:
The bed is made of poor quality wood
The wood joins are misaligned
The paint used is cheap and smelled for two weeks after (in a child’s bed)
There are gaps in the paintwork
The steps sound like they are going to break when you step on it
There is a screw that was not screwed properly inside the bed area and my child scratched herself on it (this is the only thing he fixed today)
The turrets are misaligned
The steps are not all the same size
The entrance to the play area turret is not straight Gaps in the joints
The drawers come out and are dangerous. They are heavy and have nothing to stop them being pulled out by a small child making them unusable.

They said they would fix the issues and after 6 weeks of waiting someone came to fix it today. He only fixed the screw and refused to fix anything else.
Now they won’t answer the phone to me.
