So grateful that I chose to do my procedure through Dr Mahmut Doghan & the Team in Istanbul, the communication throughout the beginningbof the process & after has been brilliant. And my healing has going very well. Contact with his Dietition with with questions & correspondence has helped me in this journey with recipes to chose from. I do not hesitate to give them a high rating as going over with my husband we were both looked after very well by hospital staff as well as the driver to & from hospital great service in all areas.

Absolutely amazing service from beginning to end. Nothing to fault. Communication with everyone is spot on and on time. Transport arrangements and accomodations, nothing to fault. The doctor is very professional and friendly. Nurses did have to use translating services, but some of the nicest people. I'm black, so i thought I'd have a different situation, but, nope, i don't recall any ounce of racism or discrimination. Everyone was absolutely friendly even the cleaners too. Beautiful hospital, clean. Great cafe downstairs, i suggest you have a coffee there before surgery. I still dream of it lol. 10/10 everything.

I had a gastric sleeve with Dr Nahmut Doghan May 2024 and the whole experience from start to finish was outstanding. I have just returned to Istanbul after losing 6 st for skin removal and breast augmentation following recommendations from Dr Doghan and he went out of his way to come and say 'Hi'. I would definitely rate my experience a 5 out of 5. You and your communication team with us were fantastic, the doctor was great, and everyone else involved was very professional and supportive.
The only slight issue was with the nurses at the hospital, as they were a bit slow at times and we had a few minor issues getting assistance. Aside from that, everything else was excellent. I’ve already lost 7kgs and I’m now going on week 2

Dr mahmut dogen and team are so professional from start to finish. Transfers to and from the airport were easy. The hospital was very well maintained. Rooms at the hospital and the hotel were very good for both myself and my support person. My only downfall is the lack of English spoke so having a translation app is a must. Overall experience was great and would recommend to anyone thinking of doing weightloss surgery.

I wasn’t sure at first about travelling to turkey for the surgery. The price was very enticing compared to Australia but I wanted to be sure I was safe. I joined the group on fb to see others experience and gain more knowledge. I ended up connecting with someone in my town, who actually ended up knowing my partner. She had nothing but positive things to say so I took the leap.

I flew solo. I was nervous getting into the transfers and not knowing the language, but once at the hospital everyone spoke English and if they didn’t they always had google translate.

Every process is thoroughly explained. All tests done. I had my surgery the second day after I arrived. Tests the first day followed by surgery. Everything went well. Pain was actually much more minimal than I expected.

After care is amazing. Everything is explained to you and all your questions answered.

I ended up flying home on day 4 by personal choice and it was totally fine. I’ve had zero complications 4 months later and have already lost 27 kilos.

The hospital itself is incredible. It’s like nothing I’ve seen before. So clean!! You’re well looked after. They know exactly what you need before you even have to ask for it!!

I would 100% recommend Dr Doğan and his team. The whole operation is runs so smoothly and cohesively.

I will definitely be going back based on their recommendations for surgery for tummy tuck/ breasts etc when I am ready.

Everything was great! First night when nurse was doing pre-op test guys was a bit rude, other than that had a great experience!!

Had a wonderful experience for my weight loss journey. Hospital staff were fantastic, patient and very accommodating. Consultants and liaisons were great too. Hospital facilities 5 star and hotel was fit for purpose.
Staff at hotel were great too. Couldn't fault my trip or the service.

From the first contact with Dr Dogan all I can say is it was the most professional service I have ever received . From my initial call with Kerem I knew I was making the right decision and that I was going to be in safe hands .
Kerem was very informative and explained everything in great detail . Everything prior to flying out to Istanbul was completely organised by kerem and all information emailed to me .

On arrival I could not have asked for anything better , I was met by a driver and on arrival at the hotel met by the nurse who got me to fill out paperwork and then settled me in to my room .

The hospital was five star pure luxury, very clean and full of all the mod cons . The standard of the hospital knocked spots off of any hospital in the UK .

Throughout that evening and night I underwent extensive tests to see if I were suitable for surgery in the morning . By 9am Kerem and Dr Dogan had come to see me and explained all procedures in great detail . By 10am I had all my results from all tests and all examinations completed . I met the team who were going to do the procedure and also met the dietician . This gave me so much confidence and I felt in safe hands and knew everything was going to go well .

Surgery went extremely well with no complications and the after care was second to none . Both myself and my husband who came with me were looked after in the hospital in a very professional and caring was . Nothing was a bother and the communication was excellent .

Before being discharged to the hotel I was seen by the team that day along with Dr Dogan and his dietician . On leaving the hospital I was given everything I needed for the next few days as well as everything I needed for the next month .
I left with very little pain and felt great .

The hotel stay went well and during that time I was visited by nurses and dietician to make sure all was well and I was able to fly home .

The service was most definitely five star and Dr Dogan one of the most professional surgeons I have come across . Both my husband and I work for the NHS and can honestly say everything was done to the highest of standard .

Kerem is the person who you have most contact with and he is the most kind and caring guy you could ever meet , he is there for you 24/7 and nothing is a bother . He is a credit to Dr Dogan and the team .

Two years down the line and I have never felt so amazing . I’ve lost 14 stone in weigh am off 28 tablets a day that I had been on for over 10 years and I’ve never felt better . No longer diabetic no longer have sleep apnea no longer have a fatty liver no longer have foot and leg neuropathy no longer have high blood pressure or high cholesterol . The health benefits are amazing and I have Dr Dogan to thank for this . He is the most amazing surgeon and I have him to thank for saving my life and giving me my life back .

Two years post surgery and I still get message from Kerem and the dietician who are always there if you feel you need them . The aftercare is the best I have ever come across .

I would highly recommend Dr Dogan and his team if you are thinking on going for gastric surgery he is simply the best .

I’ve never looked back over the last two years and I’m the healthiest I’ve been in 25 year .

Everything was set out according to plan, arrived & taken straight to hotel. Things were explained to detail & easy to understand, having my husband by my side & covered in everything was even more of a bonus.

The drivers were also great, on time & getting us to where we needed safely!

The hotel staff were incredible as well as our stay & the hospital absolutely amazing! Clean & tidy, nurses nothing but great & made sure I understood what I was being given.

I travelled to Turkey in June 2024 to undergo a gastric sleeve surgery with Dr Mahmut Dogan and couldn't fault the experience, from the initial booking back home in the UK the staff were very easily accessible through whatsapp and email and kept me well informed on the run up.
When I arrived in Istanbul we were collected by a chauffeur and taken straight to the hospital for pre op as I arrived late at night before my surgery the following day, as soon as we arrived I was greeted by a member of the team who stayed with me from arrival up to getting my room and getting settled in. The hospital room was luxurious in comparison to the UK, there was a sofabed for my partner to stay with me and en suite toilet facilities. The day of my surgery Dr Dogan came and introduced himself and explained the procedure to me, from being taken into the anesthetist the next thing I remember is waking up in recovery in a bearable amount of pain, but completely manageable. I spent another night in the hospital where the nurses couldn't have done enough for me they made sure I was given the correct dose of pain relief and it was completely manageable. The hospital itself was lovely, extremely clean and very big so plenty of places to walk to aid the recovery. There was also a good choice of food outlets in the reception for my partner so he didn't need to leave me.
The day of discharge I met the dietitian who ran through the recovery period and diet plan with me and gave me all my vitamins/liquid sachets to take home with me. We were then collected and taken to the hotel which again was beautiful and couldn't be faulted at all.
The whole experience was seamless for me, all the staff were fantastic of both Dr Dogan's as well as the hospital, I felt well taken care of and everyone was extremely knowledgeable.
This was a very big decision to undergo and I would do it again in a second, my life has been completely changed.

Would highly recommend Dr Doğan and his team! Had my surgery 9th January 2026, the nurses were all lovely, gentle and kind, I was impressed with level of cleanliness in the hospital and the attention to care the team takes with pre-surgery tests they were extremely thorough, I expected to feel nervous leading up to the surgery but I can honestly say I didn’t have any nerves and felt safe with the team!

I would definitely recommend this surgeon and his team. One week ago I had gastric sleeve surgery, and everything was perfect from start to finish. The nurses were very kind and professional, and the aftercare has been absolutely brilliant.

Since returning to the UK, I have continued to receive excellent support from the dietitian. She reminds me every week which stage I am on and what I should be taking, which makes the process much easier and less stressful. I am truly very grateful for all the care and support.

After just one week post surgery, I am already 5 kg lighter.

Travelled on my own for such a major surgery, which brings a little bit of anxiety. But best believe I received the best care from Team Dogan. I was picked up at the airport by his team and taken to the very modern hospital for a three night stay. The tests that were undertaken the day before surgery were thorough and in-depth. The skill of Dr Mammut and his team show in the fact that you are up and walking the next day. Upon discharge we were met by the dietitian Busa and given all our let’s get started meal replacement and vitamins and then taken to a hotel where I stayed and did some light sight seeing. (I was feeling that good) Hotel again was lovely and clean with nice sized rooms. Final morning again collected by the team drivers and was delivered straight to the airport doors again. Nothing was too much trouble including a left behind phone that was delivered to my hands within an hour.
The only thing I would change about my experience is I would have gone a couple of days earlier to do some more robust sightseeing.
I can’t fault team Dogan and that also includes his reception, coordinators, dietician and Kareem who was there to answer every question I had in the time leading up to my flyout day.

Received the very best of care from Dr Mamhut and his team of friendly, knowledgeable staff. The Hospital is very modern and comfortable. The highest standards and the utmost efficiency is what you will find here. If you have any questions they are answered promptly and precisely. The whole experience from start to finish was so simple , easy and amazing with Dr Dogan and his team , I flew from Melbourne Australia to Turkey on my own to have a gastric sleeve surgery and honestly I couldn’t be happier , the nurses in the hospital were lovely , my surgery was brilliant and I’ve lost over 12 kgs in the first month ❤️ it was brilliant to have the VIP transfers and the hotel was in a lovely little area and I explored after my surgery and went on walks and felt completely safe ❤️ I would definitely go back to Dr Dogan if I had my time again :) Kerem the person who I was chatting with and helped me sort my paperwork from start to finish was amazing and explained everything I needed to know beautifully :) I am so happy with my results
