Disgraceful customer service

Ordered and paid for items in stock , 4 bar stools and 2 lamps delivery came , no lamps , contacted team , waited long time for reply then received a reply telling me they never arrived because they were out of stock and not due in for another 3 months . Cancelled remaining order . Order number 2 ordered 4 dining chairs and 2 lamps plant and large bowl , once again plant not in stock after they took money , order came , 2 lamps need returning as damaged , I contacted twice via email over a week ago and still no reply . Disgusted in customer service from here

Thank you for your feedback. We respond to our customer emails within 1 working day of receipt. We responded to your initial complaint of not receiving the lamps ordered with the first order on the same day the email was received.

Information regarding stock levels is displayed on our website to help inform the customer before an order is placed. In your case the 2 items that we didn't have in stock were marked as "Available on Backorder", indicating that these items were not in stock.

Order on the 16th Feb

Order on the 16th Feb, now 22nd and I’ve had 2 requests for ‘how was the product’ and the experience, but no communications about a delivery - so no actual product yet.

Not worth the hassle

Item arrived in really poor packaging, looked as though it had been unpacked and retaped at least twice judging by the different tape on it. The item was damaged as one of the legs didn't fit properly. Really annoying as the item had obviously been returned at least once for the same reason and seller hoped they'd get away with sending it out to someone else! That said, arranging the return was easy, they sent UPS out and refund within 2 weeks. But still a waste of my time when clearly the item was damaged on dispatch. I would not buy from this seller again.

Long lead times not clear when ordering

I ordered a stag head from this company and 6 weeks went by and I heard nothing. I then contacted them by email and asked when my product was going to be despatched. Got an email from them saying they had contacted me previously which they hadn’t and said it would be 3 months before the product was in stock!! That would have been nearly 4 months in total from order date. Only positive was they refunded me very quickly but turnaround time and communication makes me not want to use them again.

Would never buy from Eclectic Niche again

I contacted RV Astley as one of my 6 month old bedside tables was faulty. They told me to raise the issue with Eclectic Niche who I bought the tables from so that EN could raise the issue to RV Astley and they would resolve it. I contacted Eclectic Niche twice in May and Never heard back. It’s now August and I doubt this will ever get resolved, or that I will ever hear back from Eclectic Niche. Absolutely appalling!

My issue was not handled as promised

My issue was not handled as promised. I s yet to receive the FULL refund of my monies. In addition, my follow up emails were ignored. I had a poor customer service experience and will dispute with my credit card company. As well as I’ve file a complaint with the CFPB & BBB.

We try as much as possible to ensure we resolve any issues our customers may have as swiftly as possible. In your case we had emailed you to confirm that a full refund was applied to your order and any charges you may have had would have been charged by your bank or exchange rate fluctuations, given that the order was placed from the USA.

You have not confirmed to us that you have contacted your bank regarding the refund difference of $29.40. We went further to attach a Stripe Statement of your transaction which shows that indeed the order was refunded in FULL from our end.

We respond to emails sent within 1 working day of receipt, you had emailed us on the 21st of May. We run a reduced service at the weekends.

We do hope you are able to resolve this issue, If you require further information from us, please let us know and we will be glad to help.

Poor service

Poor service, ordered a product which upon delivery was the incorrect product. The correct product is out of stock. No phone number to contact company, only email which again very poor level of communication especially as products are meant to be high end.

Dreadful experience

Ordered a chest of drawers which was delivered whilst I was away from home on a business trip. Opened package when I returned home to find item badly scratched. Submitted photographic evidence of damage which showed also that the original internal packaging was intact. Took at least four chasing emails and a series of interactions with the on-site chat team before I could get any kind of sensible engagement or response from Eclectic Niche.

When the response did come I was informed that because I didn't open the package within 48 hours of it being delivered I was not due a refund, replacement or repair. I'm clever, but not clever enough to remotely open a parcel delivered to my home.

The whole experience has left a bit of a sour taste. Receiving a damaged item is bad enough but to be repeatedly ignored when raising the issue was absolutely disgraceful. I have several chat transcripts where the company's representative promises a response and yet nothing was received until I chased very aggressively (which I hated doing but felt I had no choice).

In summary, I won't be using this company again. They treated me with absolute contempt throughout the process and now I'm left with a piece of furniture that I'm going to have to pay to have repaired.

You confirmed with us by email that a family member had opened the packaged item and confirmed to you that the item was in good condition and had thrown away the box. On arrival home from your trip you then noticed a scratch on the chest of drawers.

All are items are quality checked before despatch except in the unfortunate incident damage occurs in transit of which we would offer a replacement or full refund.
