Awful experience with them
Awful experience with them. They were contracted out for energy uk management to do work for Eco4 grant on my property. The workman left dirty rags on my floor didn’t put protective sheeting down, and soldered a hole in my work top, I was left with no paper work. Terrible company,

I think this review was meant for another company? Do you want to check? We dont do Energy or grants? Thanks and good luck, sounds like an awful situation.
Compostable bin bags
Good to find compostable bin bags of European standard acceptable by my Council for new food caddy. Eco Green Living is a friendly approachable company and I will look to them for all my purchases now.

I am a regular user of the lavender washing sheets. They perform well. I travel with them in my motorhome too. They take up little space and dont irritate my sensitive skin.

Lemon Dishwasher sheets-poor
Lemon Dishwasher sheets. Very disappointed- not 'powerful clean'. Even doubling up the recommended amount and small loads, still poor performance. We are veggie, so have no baked on grease here. Tea mugs, even, come out with brown tannin staining still on. Is 'no mess' does dissolve, is premeasured - but new to useless

Hi Barbara, thank you for taking the time to leave this review and I'm sorry the sheets didn't deliver for you.
You're right that tea tannin staining is a real weak spot for our sheets, and I want to be honest about why.
Most conventional dishwasher tablets (Finish, Fairy etc) use chlorine bleach to blast through tannin stains. We made the decision not to include bleach because it's toxic to aquatic life and persists in waterways. Our sheets clean well for everyday washing, but they genuinely struggle with tannin buildup and anything that would normally need a bit of elbow grease. That's a fair criticism and we're not going to pretend otherwise.
Here's what we've done about it. We've developed our Dishwasher Booster, which uses sodium percarbonate (an oxygen based bleach that breaks down into water and oxygen, so no environmental harm). A scoop of that alongside your sheet will tackle tannin stains and tougher residue, boosting cleaning power by up to 2.5x, without any of the nasty chemicals.
It also replaces your rinse aid completely. Conventional rinse aids like Finish Jet Dry contain things like methylisothiazolinone (a skin and aquatic toxin), tetrasodium EDTA (which persists in the environment) and zinc acetate (a heavy metal compound). That's what's leaving that film on your glasses and plates. Our booster uses sodium citrate and sodium gluconate instead, both plant derived, both fully biodegradable, no nasty film, no poison.
I'd love to send you a trial box to try so you can see the difference. Please drop us an email at julie@ecogreenliving.co.uk and we'll get one out to you.
We're a small family company and we'd rather be honest about what our products can and can't do than pretend they're perfect. Going eco does come with some compromise, but we're always working on the formulation and your feedback genuinely helps with that.
Thank you for choosing to go eco, even when it's not always easy.

This company claims to be UK based but in reality their laundry sheets and possibly many other products originate in China. Once the round the world trip has been factored in these are not a green alternative to UK/EU manufactured products

Hi Wendy, thank you for raising this and it's a really fair question. We've got nothing to hide so let me be completely transparent.
Yes, some of our products are manufactured in China, and some in Vietnam, Sweden and Poland. We're a UK based family company (headquartered in Grimsby) and we work with manufacturers across Europe and Asia. Every single one is audited, and our facilities in China are certified as using renewable energy.
We also have customers across 18 countries and will ship from the closes source of manufacturing rather than bringing across the world and back again.
Here's the bit that surprises most people. Shipping by sea from Asia actually has a lower carbon footprint per unit than road freight from our European manufacturers in Sweden and Poland. Container ships are incredibly efficient compared to trucks on motorways. So the "round the world trip" isn't the environmental issue it feels like on the surface.
It isn't possible to manufacture these products in the UK, sadly also if it were, then the pricepoint would be so high that they wouldnt be viable.
We also plant trees for every order through Ecologi, to offset our footprint further. We are building quite a forest.
We chose our manufacturers based on three things: quality, ethical standards and environmental credentials. Not geography. We'd rather work with an audited, renewably powered factory in China than a coal powered one closer to home just because it looks better on paper.
We're always happy to answer questions about our supply chain because we genuinely believe transparency is more important than greenwashing. If you'd like to know more, please email me directly at julie@ecogreenliving.co.uk.

We’ve been using the 60 litre certified compostable bin liners for over 2 years now and we’ve found they’re the most durable over the other ones on the market. We use these for our council food-waste collection and they’ve been great. Strong, reliable, and genuinely compostable, meaning no hidden plastics. It gives a real peace of mind knowing our food waste is being disposed of properly and responsibly. A small change that makes a meaningful difference.
