Economic Justice Fund has helped me greatly. In December last year I had to buy a car and I had to use credit card funds. Since the credit cards rates are high, I wanted to get a loan to reduce the balance. I researched other lenders, and was finding the rates were also high and they were requesting imposible requirements for me, like a car title or a co-signer. Then I found EJF, I read about their commitment to help people, I read many testimonials of people they have assisted and I was very happy to find an organization I could believe in and trust. After sending all documents needed, the process of approval was fast and efficient! Thanks to them I am starting this year with renewed hope.

David was very prompt and understanding. The process was smooth and went exactly how he explained it would. I definitely recommend their services!!

Im so glad I came across Economic Justice Fund! I was running out of options but I decided to submit an application with them for an emergency situation. I spoke with David who was very helpful, kind, and efficient and kept me updated every step of the way. After receiving many denials from different companies Economic Justice Fund was able to help me out with the extra cash needed. So 2023 has not been kind to a lot of us. Between wild inflation and family members in tight bonds, everything this year has expensive as...heck. Recently my credit score dropped 60 points after I closed an account with fraudulent activity. While working to get this nonsense off my credit report for good, I realized I'm going to need a loan to get through the next period of financial priorities, and I do not have the credit right now to get a decent one. After researching CDFIs in my state I came across Economic Justice Fund. I honestly thought since I live in a different part of CA that they wouldn't approve me, but they came through with a decent loan (less than what I wanted but a good amount) and most importantly a FARRRR better APR than ANY other lender would have given me. I plan on referring a few of my loved ones to them. Definitely recommend (also they responded the next business day after applying). Blessings to this team!

The interest they offer me was not the one they advertise, but approved is easy even if you have a bad credit or even if you got reject from other lenders because of your credit. After apply if you don't see email from them email them within a day. Contact them though email, because for me for some reason they email me first time but it didn't go though. I have to contact them for the update.

Economic Justice Fund actually asks questions about your individual circumstances rather than just running a report and stamping DENIED or Approved, BUT you’ll pay us back ten-fold. The process was simple and speedy. My experience was far better than I could have expected. I’m starting to wonder if this sounds like a fake review.. I promise it’s not :’)

This is a great company to get a loan from. I needed financial assistance and everywhere I applied I was turned down because they didn't want to help out a small business. But I'm glad I was reffered to Economic Justice Fund because they went ahead and gave me chance and approved a loan for me. They came through for me in my time of need and I'm so grateful for that. They have great customer service who answer all your questions and so considerate of your situation. If your in need of a business loan for your small business this is your first place to go! Economic Justice Fund was extremely helpful in my time of need. I sought emergency assistance because I was short on funds to pay my bills for the next month and I am glad I found this organization. I don't have to worry about high interest rates and my monthly payments are reasonable. David Williams was responsive, professional, understanding and attentive to my financial situation. Being a California resident can have its financial pitfalls at times and it is comforting to know that there are organizations that care more than just seeing information on a loan application. I highly recommend seeking their assistance.

I'm sure they help lots of people, but ultimately, they left a bad taste in my mouth. I applied for a personal loan of $12,000 for car repairs and medical bills. I was hoping to at least get between $5000-6000, as I've been offered such from other lenders, just with a high APR. I figured they could be very helpful. I was wrong. Not only did they show zero empathy or compassion for my situation, they offered me a small dollar loan of $1000-2000, which I found insulting after explaining my situation in full detail.

They also don't seem to understand what 1099's are. I am self-employed, but I do not operate under a separate business, meaning all my 1099's are made out under my social security number, not an EIN for a business. They insisted that my income was for a "business" and not "personal," then proceeded to ask for my contracts as proof for the small dollar loan. How does it make sense for you to look at my contracts, but you can't accept the 1099's if you're saying I only have business income and no personal income? Also, how is that the case when I provided bank statements? It seems like they didn't believe that I could possibly be self-employed. The whole exchange was odd and uncomfortable.

Also, they said that after paying off the small dollar loan, they could then offer me another loan within 6-12 months. In 6-12 months, I will not need a loan because the repairs I need for my car are urgent, and my medical emergency is temporary. They were just distasteful and rude. If this is the experience I wanted, I could've chosen to deal with another lender.

Not sure where the "justice" is; it just seems like an economic fund to me. I just wanted to let people know what to expect from them if you don't have a lot of money (even though I made $63,000 from self-employment in 2022) and a high debt-to-income ratio. I figured they would be understanding because I've never defaulted on a loan, never been late on a student loan, and have little to no credit card debt, but I was wrong. My credit score is the way it is (not even horrible, in the 600's may I add) because I've yet to dedicate time to build it via credit cards and my current debt-to-income ratio. Seems like they don't care about the specifics of situations at all. I would avoid, especially if you are self-employed.

I absolutely love working with them. They are patient and understanding. They facilitate making your payments easy and work with you when you are unable. My bank account was hacked and now I am working to find a bank that will accept me until the investigation is cleared. They have been patient throughout this difficult process of identity theft.
