I received an Eiken backpack as a Christmas present 2023. Unfortunately I am very disappointed with the product. Firstly its not waterproof, which I need. Secondly the canvas has what appears to be water marks all over the material. Thirdly is when I contacted the customer service, I was told that I could not exchange it as it was outside the returns policy. Most companies that I have shoppedwith allow for time over the Christmas period. Considering how expensive these products are, they are of very poor quality & sub standard. I would definitely not recommend this company for any of their products. When you pay alot of money for a product, you would expect that you would receive a high quality product & support from the customer service. Certainly Irish companies would be honorable!

They advertise themselves as a site where you can find Refined & Vintage Products made of Noble & Sturdy Materials but the truth is the Backpacks are all made in China, we know what people's working conditions are in China. So I think it is not such a noble company

Great quality bag, when I had a question I contacted customer service and they handled it wonderfully.

The bag I received is as expected with great quality and authentic materials used. Loved the Service from EIKEN. Overall awesome experience.

I can only report my positive experiences with EIkenshop. They have a fantastic website which makes it easy to find products. They always update the inventory levels so you would not end up with a cancelled order. They ship out orders lightning-fast. Finally, when it comes to the product quality, well, you cannot find better.

Just an update: I ordered another nice product from them. Again, my order arrived at least 2 days earlier than I expected. Also, I made some suggestions about new products and accessories and they were clearly open take my ideas on board. This is a great company with customer service and fantastic quality products. I can only recommend them.

I purchased a canvas backpack and I wanted to thank you for making such a beautiful accessory! The craftsmanship is so impressive! Such attention to detail! I love it! My daughter loved it so much, she ordered a messenger bag. She’s very happy with it, as well. It's obvious you take the time to create a beautiful, quality product. Eiken surprised me very positively. Found by chance through an internet advertisement, Eiken has turned out to be a manufacturer of extremely high-quality and stylish backpacks. The backpacks are super well-made and beautiful. But even better than the backpacks is the service. If you have any questions, they answer your e-mails quickly, competently and in a friendly manner, and if something should break in the almost indestructible (because there are hardly any zips etc.) backpacks, you can get a replacement just as easily. Therefore, I can only recommend Eiken.

Delay in shipping due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Would like to commend Clemence for monitoring the status and providing me with constant updates. Customer Service is superb.

EIKENshop surprised with spot on and regular correspondence on delivery issues. Delivery meant as a birthday surprise reached the new owner just in time and the intense following of the package was monitored by the committed team from EIKEN with the same interest as the the person who ordered.

Bought the Helsinki bag in 2019 and it looks great and stores a lot. However I barely used it for two years due to lockdown. Have started using it regularly since last December and it’s lasted 5 months until the zip is faulty and broken in several places and was not overpacked. Despite COVID there is no extension to the guarantee so I am left with a faulty bag I used for 6 months. Terrible quality, overpriced and not built to last, next time I shall be buying a Herschel again as they have excellent quality and customer service.

J'ai mon sac à dos en cuir depuis maintenant 1 an et il est toujours au top. Il est pile de la bonne taille pour mettre tout se qu'il faut pour 1 ou 2 jours et résiste franchement bien. ​💪
J'ai toujours utilisé des sac à dos pour avoir mes mains libre et je crois que j'ai enfin trouvé ma marque de choix pour m'équiper ! 😎​​

Awesome bags, great customer service!

Bag arrived and is excellent quality - the waxed cotton being very sturdy. I hadn't expected the bag to be lined and with various pockets inside so that is a bonus.

On my bag the main, heavy-duty metal zip failed on the first day. Obviously a manufacturing fault and the sort of thing that it going to happen one day to all manufacturers. I contacted Eiken by email and within a few minutes got a reply and the situation was resolved and a replacement sent. I always believe that being perfect is impossible, but it's how you react when something (inevitably) goes wrong that makes the difference. For that top marks for Eiken.

For personal reasons I was obliged to cancel two orders with Eiken about 2 days after placing the order. Clemence responded immediately and was very obliging. Although already dispatched Clemence called the delivery service to reverse the delivery in order to spare me the time and expense of returning the products. If I need a backpack in future I will definitely do business with Eiken. Their customer support is first rate and personal.

I bought a bag and three days after using the canvas tore.. I mean good sizeable rip. I contacted customers service to exchange as it must be faulty and they said it was wrsr and tear and my fault. Offered a discount voucher to purchase another sh#££y quality bag! Do not buy from here!!! Decent quality canvas should not tear. Incredible poor quality

I'm extremely delighted with my experience with Eiken (I purchased the Eiken Rostock backpack).

Firstly, I want to talk about the product itself: You can truly feel the quality of the materials at first touch. It has a sturdy structure and resistant fabric, giving it a premium feel. The outside is waxed and the inside is covered with an impermeable layer, conferring it waterproof capabilities. It also has a nice capacity, due to it's two large compartments: a smaller one for your miscellaneous, and a larger one for your whatsoevers (in my case books, laptop, etc for my daily routine, however it looks perfect for traveling as well). Inside you have several other pockets, including a strapped one for your laptop. I just want to conclude by saying that it does look awesomely nice and the overall quality exceeded my expectations in every way, I have the feeling that this good looking backpack is going to be stuck with me for 20+ years.

Secondly, I want to address the customer service. One word? Impeccable. My backpack came, unfortunately, damaged. It was not factory made damage or defect as the delivery parcel was cut from the outside. It was carrier negligence. I contacted Eiken's costumer service, while providing photographic proof of the damage, and in less than a day the incident was sorted and a substitute backpack was sent on my way. I wasn't told to speak with the carrier company or diverted in any way. The person who handled the process was friendly, his responses were fast and detailed and I felt I was being well taken care off. Great job!

I decided to provide a more detailed review of my experience due to the fact that, with only great 108 reviews on Trustpilot (at the present time), many people may not be as confident as when they're buying from a well known company with thousands of positive feedback. Well companies have to start somewhere right? You can't immediately have thousands of reviews at the start. I sincerely hope they get there one day and I want to contribute to that.
