1 star- Only because I can’t give less. Had read previous reviews so thank you to those recommending use PayPal. Great price online, received email and WhatsApp correspondence and nothing. Nearly 4 weeks waiting, no replies to my queries on where my order was so went into PayPal and put in a claim for repayment as I had neither received product or a reply from the company. Thanks PayPal but not Electrodirect- they said it must be lost in transit but given I never received any tracking information, I very much doubt that. Unless you pay in person, don’t bother dealing with this company.

I brought my electric scooter in for a front wheel bearing replacement. Before leaving it for inspection, I asked for a rough estimate of the repair cost. I was told the fix would cost somewhere between 45 and 65 euros. Based on that, I agreed to pay the 20 euro inspection fee and left the scooter.

A week later, I received a message saying the repair would cost 110 euros — nearly double the highest figure I was originally quoted. When I went to the shop to ask for an explanation, I was told that the initial 45–65 euro range was just a "best guess based on previous experience" and that no exact price could be given without inspection.

Here's the problem: if that's the case, why give a specific price range at all? The quote of 45–65 euros was not presented as a rough ballpark — it was given as a realistic estimate that directly influenced my decision to pay the inspection fee and leave my scooter. Had I been told upfront that the repair could realistically cost 90–110 euros, I would have walked away immediately — because at that price, the repair simply isn't worth it to me.

This feels like a classic bait-and-hook tactic — give a low estimate to get the customer to commit to an inspection fee, then reveal the real cost only after the fee has been paid. Whether intentional or not, the result is the same: I'm out 20 euros for an inspection that led to a price I never would have accepted.

I would strongly advise others to get any quote in writing before agreeing to an inspection, and to ask specifically whether the estimate could significantly change. Transparency and honest communication should be the foundation of any repair business. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

To say I had a bad experience would be generous. Dropped phone in to be repaired. All they did was break my screen and replace it with a poorly fitted one not compatible with my iPhone. They kept my phone for nearly 4 weeks saying they were waiting on a part. They haven't a clue. When I phoned them looking for an updates I would speak to someone different and hear a difference explanation. In the end, I brought it to a phone repair shop around the corner from them and they fixed it within 20mins. Avoid at all costs. Terrible service.

1. The company doesn't state the items are coming from outside Ireland, shipped in via the EU first.
2. My item was lost in transit, apparently, and instead of offering a replacement or anything like that they just cancelled the order outright, with no follow-up.

I bought a gaming pc for my son for a Christmas present. I hade some issues with the internet connection and i text Electro Direct on WhatsApp on Christmas day. They replied to me straight away and on Stefan's day they sent to me a new WiFi dongle . Highly recommended. Very professional and helpful. If I could I would give 10 stars. Thank you
