I thought that Folx mac downloader was really efficient, and user-friendly download manager. I really like the split-download feature for large downloads and ability to tag my files and folders inside Folx itself! Great product for macbook. Highly recommend!

I'm still (at the moment) on a trial version of the USB Network Gate software, but it's proving invaluable! My partner and I have our computers set up near each other in our office, but it doesn't make sense to constantly try to swap cables, or get USB hardware switches that are often flaky or cause weird/undesired behavior... and buying duplicate hardware would just be ridiculous. Now we can share whatever devices we need, and they act like local devices on either side!

Installing and configuring the software took 10 minutes or less, and I had our venerable Canon LiDE 70 scanner shared from her Windows 10 box to my Windows 11 box... no more weird Remote TWAIN software and all the quirks and incompatibilities that brought, Windows 11 just goes "oh hey look a scanner, I'll add that to WIA" and boom all my apps see it as though it were plugged in locally. I was dreading that we might have to buy some multifunction abomination and install all the bloatware to make it work for both of us, but USB Network Gate just scratched that off. Next I shared my Brother QL-700 label printer and connected to it on her computer. Installed the Brother software (not really any way around that with label printers) and now she can design labels to her heart's content, hit print, and I can pick up the labels off my desk and hand them to her.

I also just realized I can use this to share my router's console. My desktop sits next to it, and can plug into the console port via USB to serial cable... and now I can share that USB serial device, connect to it from my laptop, and boom I've got local console access anywhere in the house (as long as the network isn't completely dead!).

Customer support has been fantastic too, even though I'm not a corporate user, they've maintained communication with me and answered my questions. I appreciate that their Lifetime Upgrade guarantee will ensure that future versions of Windows will be supported, and they've also assured me that when we upgrade our computers, we can transfer the license. While the price might seem prohibitive for a personal user at first glance, if you consider the support they provide and how long you'll be using this, it starts to make more sense!

I’ve been using CloudMounter on Windows to access my Dropbox storage, and I genuinely don’t know how I managed without it.

It lets you mount Dropbox (and other cloud drives) as if they were local drives — straight from File Explorer, no syncing required. I can browse, open, and edit large files directly from the cloud without wasting my SSD space. That alone is a game changer.

The integration is smooth and fast. It runs in the background, uses minimal system resources, and the interface is clean and easy to use. Best of all? I didn’t have to fiddle with settings — it just worked right out of the box.

I also appreciate the added encryption features, which let me protect my cloud files with an extra layer of security. That’s a big deal when you’re dealing with sensitive or personal data.

If you’re on Windows and use Dropbox, CloudMounter is absolutely worth it. It’s stable, efficient, and saves you from the hassle of syncing everything locally.

I've found a great media player for mac with Elmedia. Recently I was digitizing some older CD's and other media in my collection and found that I needed an app that could play media files. QuickTime is a standard on Macs but didn't have the plug-ins I need. I also use VLC but wanted to try something else. Searched on Reddit and found a few alternatives, Elmedia being one. It is able to play all the formats I use, including FLAC and HVEC files. The interface is modern, responsive, and fast. I like that you can pop out the playlist functionality as well so that you can manage your queue separately from the viewing window. The support team is also extremely knowledgeable and timely in response. If you want to play media using an updated, modern app that has good customer service to back it, give Elmedia a try.

Great service for our non-profit organization. The Serial-to-Ethernet Software works great and makes so much more possible to us. No need of additional hardware. The software offers flexibility to use fill all our needs from remote.

Ero alla ricerca di un software che mi poteva dare la possibilità di condividere la mia Chiavetta USB Dongle ZigBee che viene riconosciuta come porta COM in rete. Sto sperimentando attraverso Home Assistant per creare una domotica semplice ma efficiente in casa, purtroppo l'antenna ZigBee deve essere abbastanza centrale come posizione in casa, per irradiare al meglio il segnale, mentre il server si trova in una posizione scomoda al piano interrato. Grazie a questo software sono riuscito nel mio intento, al primo tentativo e senza nessun problema a fare tutto questo. Condivido la COM in rete e il mio server riesce a comunicare con la rete ZigBee, più avanti devo sperimentare anche il collegamento dell' inverter Fotovoltaico per monitorare consumi, produzione e stato delle batterie. Azienda fantastica, attenta ad ogni minimo particolare e molto disponibili.

Great software that plays any file you throw at it. So simple. Upgrade to pro if you're wanting to stream to big screen TVs
