Shocking experience sold a vehicle that’s not road worthy and put dodgy MOT’s on the cars
The only reason I had the brake pads, front coil spring wheel nut cause they were seized is cause I got quotes after taking them to a garage then had to come home get the approval then book the car in then I had to pay up front then I was sent the money within the next week which I can’t do.
I then had to get the a quote for a new key which was broken when I bought the car the garage said it just needed a battery so they lied
The car went through a mot a week before it got dropped off to me there was no meat on the brake pads at all. I didn’t have to get a written quote for the previous repairs but want a written quote for the rest
I took the car for a quote for the battery and had to go to another garage for a quote for the wing mirror issue as it had to go to an auto electrician
I got a quote verbal cause I wasn’t told about the written paper and refused to pay I would have to go back to the garage get in writing
The quote for the wing mirror I took it to a garage and they said they would have to get the diagram for the car and said they would contact me never did. I also had to cut off all the wheel nut covers as they were all fused to the wheel which have scrapped the wheels.
The things that haven’t been fixed
1. Heavy toxic smoke coming from the exhaust
2. Wing mirror
3. Battery
4. Petrol gauge issue
5. Adblue issue
6. 4x4 issue it stops me moving or trying to pull away or if I have slowed down to pull into a parking space I have to put the foot right down (accelerator) and the car when turning the wheel stops me moving
7. Two front seats material is not connected to the seat pulls right up
8. Drivers seat is very loose
9. Pickup roller shutter does not operate as the pull cord has came off and won’t go back on
10. Rust on a few points
11. Electrical gator keeps coming off on the rear and needs a clip as well to stop water getting in
12 knocking from the steering wheel
13. We connected our diagnostic tablet and retrieved the following fault codes:
P204F-68 “Reductant system performance (bank 1)”
P204F-00 “Reductant system performance (bank 1)”
The finance company sent out an inspector to check some of these that were reported at the time and checked the battery with a cheap £10 battery checker that plugs into the cigarette lighter then didn’t take the vehicle a test drive no diagnostic test done at all
The second time the finance company got a company out I stayed in all day and they didn’t even turn up so had to stay in the whole the whole next day the the guy to use his own diagnostic machine which he wasn’t meant to do he was meant to use the autel one his company gave him he told me that his was better.
He then said the diagnostic test showed up 13 faults including the adblue which I didn’t even know was an issue apart from I had to put a lot in over the past few months. He then said he can’t drive the car so I had to drive the car for him which I thought was not good either. He said he couldn’t see anything with regards to the smell from fumes apart from the engine oil fill cap wasn’t even connected but still really bad
He could see the issue with the 4x4 issue but then changed his mind the shouldn’t be stopping me pulling forward or back
