As a first time home buyer in a housing market as crazy as it is now during COVID, I needed someone who would be responsive and knowledgeable to guide me through how the close efficiently and effectively. Jason Wang was the exact person to do just that - he was available via email, text, phone and was extremely communicative about what was going on in the process as well as why. With interest rates being so reasonable during the Covid pandemic, we wanted to research combining our 1st and 2nd mortgage into one lower interest loan. We were originally working with someone else, but had already waited 6 weeks to have an initial call and she seemed too busy to work with us. A friend recommended Jason and after one email to him, we had our initial call scheduled for the same day. He sent me an email before the call to help me prepare documents for our discussion. After our initial call, I knew Jason was the right person for us.
Throughout the process, Jason was in communication with us every week sometimes a couple times a week, on the status of the refi, any documentation needed and what next steps would look like. If we didn’t understand something, he took the time to explain everything to us and provide advice on how best to move forward. He was available to us via phone, email or text any day of the week and even if he was going to be offline one evening, he let us know that in advanced. I’m sure I wasn’t the only customer he was working with, but he made us feel like we were his only customers at the time. To me it speaks volumes to the service he provides his customers.

We enthusiastically recommend Jason Wang of Equify Lending. During the COVID pandemic, rates dropped and many people took advantage of refinancing their homes. I got to the game late. My previous mortgage broker was too busy to answer me. I found Jason thru a trusted real estate agent. I compared his rates with 2 others, and found his rates were the best, but on top of that, he took time to listen and learn about our needs.

Usually I count myself lucky to find a completely well rounded and endearing agent in any industry. If I find broker who can explain technical info well, and is responsive. I’m sold. I’m telling you Jason is all of this and more.

I wanted competitive rates, check. This is my first refinance, and I’m not well versed in financial jargon or strategy. I wanted someone to explain all the technical info in an easy to understand way. Jason delivered strongly in this area. Explaining everything in terms we understood, without any feeling of pressure. He laid out different rates and broke down what everything meant, what the costs would be, and what we would save. He also shared some insight and strategy into how to lower our debt. We had very basic questions but Jason took time to explain concepts to us without making us feel dumb or rushed.

I wanted someone responsive- I had another broker not answer my email for 3 days. Jason answers by email, text, phone- whatever you prefer within a couple of hours. He made time for us even on weekends and evenings which sometimes worked for us as new parents. He always kept us up to date of the current status of our application, and let us know what to expect next so that I didn’t have to followup with him. It felt like we were VIPs, and that he was working just for me. We were done in 7 weeks even thru the busy holiday seasons Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. 

Lastly, if this person is like-able on top of everything else, then I would be over the moon. Jason is easy to talk to, a great listener, incredibly responsive, respectful of our time, patient and the rare characteristic of being sincere.

Even though I’m sure our home and loan is smaller than the average California loan, I truly appreciate how Jason treats us with respect and made me feel valued. Because of our exceptional experience, I’ve referred my best friend and sister to him already. We highly recommend Jason Wang for all your mortgage and refinancing needs.
