I had a very bad experience with Expressway LLC while trying to ship my motorcycle from Boston to Kentucky. I was working with someone named Jack Williams. I first paid a $199 deposit, then was told to pay $299 for insurance. When I requested a refund, I was told I had to reach $800 in payments, so I sent another $302. Then I was told I needed to pay a $250 cancellation fee. After that, I was told to send another $250 because the note on the previous payment was not written correctly.

In total, I sent $1,300. No motorcycle shipping service was provided, no refund was issued, and now my calls and emails are being ignored. I have repeatedly asked for my money back and have not received a response.

Based on my experience, I would strongly warn others to be extremely careful before sending this company any money.

I contracted with Express Way LLC to transport three vehicles from Indio, California to Tampa, Florida. At the time I signed the agreement, I paid the initial deposit required under the contract.

After I paid the deposit, the company contacted me again and stated that I also needed to make an additional insurance payment to cover the vehicles during transport. I paid that additional amount as requested.

The next day, when the vehicles were supposed to be picked up, the driver contacted me and stated that his truck was in the repair shop. I asked how long the repair would take, and he told me it would only be about one more day. I agreed to wait.

The following day, the driver contacted me again and stated that the repair cost was $1,500. He then asked me to send him the $1,500 so he could pay for the repairs, claiming that he did not have the money and that the company could not pay the bill for another 48 hours.

At that point, I became very concerned. I had already paid the required deposit and the additional insurance payment requested by the company. There was no basis under the contract for me to pay for repairs to the carrier’s truck. I told the driver that this appeared to be a scam and that I was not responsible for paying his repair bill.

I then asked the driver to send me a picture of the truck, the license plate, and the name and phone number of the repair shop so I could verify the situation. The driver refused to provide the repair shop’s phone number and stated that he did not want me to contact them. This refusal was highly suspicious and further confirmed my concern that the company was attempting to obtain additional money from me outside the terms of the contract.

Based on these facts, I believe this transaction was fraudulent or, at minimum, a serious breach of the agreement. The company failed to pick up the vehicles as scheduled, demanded additional payments not required by the contract, and refused to provide basic verification for the alleged truck repair issue. I am requesting a refund of all amounts paid.
