I would highly recommend Mr. Steve Harsum to anyone needing expert eye care.

Mr. Harsum first saw me in March 2013 for a retinal detachment. His prompt diagnosis, clear explanation of the situation, and skilled surgical intervention were outstanding. The procedure was handled with great professionalism.

In September 2020, when I developed Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) in my other eye, Mr. Harsum again took over my care. He started my treatment promptly and has continued to manage it ever since. His calm, reassuring manner and willingness to answer all my questions have made what could have been a very worrying condition much easier to deal with.

Steven Harsum was very detailed regarding the Toric lenses that he was prescribing for my astigmatism and lazy eye and I felt confident although a little apprehensive about the procedure. Once referred to mr harsum the examination and consultation was very good.
Mr Harsum talked me through my options and it was explained what the outcome would be if I had the cataract surgery done. I was short sighted and opted for long vision so I could see distance more clearly and help with glare from car lights at night.the operation was exactly as had been described and painless.
Very pleased with the outcome so far, although I sometimes feel as my eyes are a bit sore but hopefully this will get better over time as was described at the outset.

Mr Harsum is very approachable, very competent and takes pains to be as informative as possible. On the day of the procedure kept me informed of every step as he operated and he was very good at putting me at ease, to the extent we ended up chatting about holiday plans while he replaced my lens. I'm very happy with the multifocal lens we agreed upon at the consultation, and am now very keen to have the other eye done as the contrast between the old and new is remarkable.

Being able to fundamentally review a Cataract operation, undertaken by an other surgeon, and establish the reasons why the operation was not a success and then establish the Way Forward for me and set out the stages and procedures necessary to ensure my quality of eyesight. At all stages in the past 4 months, Mr Harsum, has been able to clearly explain to me the risks of the future treatment, in the coming months. A sound communicator, who has rebuilt my confidence in eye surgery.

This was my second eye operation, following the first eye 9 months earlier. I was therefore familiar with the process. Mr Harsum's professional and easy manner made it as straightforward as the first and I am delighted with the outcome!

Referred to Mr Harsum by a friend. My wife had her cataracts done last year and I followed this year, both eyes, two weeks apart. We are both delighted. Mine was a trickier one to judge as I had had Lasik surgery 25 years ago and was astigmatic. Mr Harsum's computer-aided lens selection (multifocals - well worth the extra) was spot-on. Can now read without glasses as well as seeing my golf ball go out of bounds 200 yards away!

Mr Harsam explained everything and the whole procedure was carried out by him in a very easy and pain free manner. I would def have him.
