Company is buying personal details and sending spam through the post, suggesting the person is eligible for a car finance claim. The FCA clearly states this is an automatic repayment scheme and no claims company is needed. Fair.inc acts unethically.

If you do not wish to receive direct mail marketing, you may wish to sign up to the Mail Preference Service, which is a free service. Their website is www.mpsonline.org.uk
Please note that it can take up to 4 months for the service to become fully effective and is specific to the person who is registered at the address, rather than just the address itself. Therefore, if several people reside at one address and do not wish to receive direct mail marketing, each person should register with the MPS.

These guys are amazing up to now
These guys are amazing up to now. Their communication is briliant by email and text message. They have found 10 claims for me and in a matter of a couple of weeks have contacted the companies with the agreements for a response and now somwe claims are in progress.
I havent had to do anything other than provide my name, address and date of birth.
The initial form I completed was easy and once submitted, Fair came back and acknowledged and set about finding my agreements. Its hassel free and they keep you updated. Its on a no win no fee basis and if your claims are acceoted and you get your money, you pay Fair a perecentage fee but only once all your claims have been settled.
I would highly recommend this company to date. Very impressed Julie G

So far so good but we haven't got to the end of the road yet. This review is just based on the excellent communication I have been getting and the simplicity of moving forward with potential claims. I have never taken out car finance but...
I have never taken out car finance yet this outfit have sent me a letter stating unequivocally that I have. It even says how much I may be eligible for in compensation!
These are big fat lies and therefore misleading in order to sell a service that I would never need.
Reported to ASA.
Updated 8/5/2026 - In reponse to reply from this company, this is what it says word for word in the letter; "When you took out your car finance, you potentially paid a hidden commission on your loan, which meant you paid more than you needed to."
This is totally untrue as I have never used finance for a car purchase, therefore you ARE making unequivocal statements that are 100% false.
By your own admission in your reply you're saying that if it does not apply I can discard it, so then there is no excuse for sending marketing material addressed specifically to people by name that has blatantly untrue statements about them in it, in other words big fat lies.

Please be aware that our direct mail marketing does not state that you have unequivocally taken out car finance. Our direct mail marketing does state that you could be due compensation for previous car finance agreements.
This marketing is targeted at consumers who previously entered into car finance agreements, however, if this does not relate to you then you can discard the marketing material.
