Love the ease of use, hate the limits
Love the ease of use, hate the limits on shared drafts.
My team uses Figma for preparing marketing materials, which are quite sparse, but still need a lot of collaborative effort to do, and simple UI/UX design.
It does its job well. However, sometimes I have to start learning to use it again after a break from it.
Good, But Frequent Updates Can Be Confusing
I use Figma occasionally, and while I appreciate how powerful and versatile it is, I sometimes find myself lost after updates. Features get moved around, shortcuts change, and it takes time to get used to the new workflow. For regular users, this might not be an issue, but for someone who doesn’t use it daily, it can be frustrating. That said, it’s still one of the best design tools out there, and once I get past the initial confusion, it works great. I just wish updates were a bit more intuitive for casual users.
dogshit app 3 years cant fix login error
Slow at times but overall good product
I've been a user of Figma for the past 6 years.
I truly love the product and especially the collaborative features. I like the recent redesign, although I hope it's not going to change any time soon as it takes a while to get used to a new layout.
The AI layer renaming was a great addition, it saves me tons of time.
However, there are a couple of issues that have been frustrating. Aside from the well-known zoom bug, the app becomes significantly slower once a page reaches a critical size. At times, its literally the most resource-intensive app on my desktop, to the point where I have to shut it down to free up memory for other tasks. I really hope you can optimize resource usage more effectively...
Overall still a good product and, tbh, much better than any alternative
Projects are now locked
I recently noticed that my Education Plan has expired, and my account has now been switched to view-only mode. My projects are now locked, and I’m required to pay to regain access.
I had previously emailed you regarding how to duplicate my projects to private mode, but I didn’t receive guidance in time. Actually if you do changes like that a better way would be to do it for your customer. This situation has left me unable to work on my projects, which is extremely frustrating and its definitely and bad experience with you. I hope you can understand how such restrictions may push users to consider alternative tools like Sketch or Penpot.
Moving to an extremely counter intuitive experience.
UI2 wasn't perfect but UI3 is garbage, and not just from an aesthetics point.
- Creating properties is a gigantic headache.
- Style properties and layout adjustments are buried under multiple clicks versus being efficiently placed
- Customer service, account managers, and the figma org clearly demonstrates that they're ok with alienating the enterprise customers in lieu of trying to "make the barrier to entry lower". It wasn't hard to learn, and the barrier to entry was easier than other products on the market.
- If I wanted to make a slide deck I'd use a specialized program for that.
Figma is fundamentally wasting money, my time, and a myriad of other designers' time by useless changes, garbage tiertiary products, useless ux changes, and a garbage pricing model.
Terrible user experience
Tried today for the first time, abandoned it after 10 minutes. Surely it's not the most user friendly app. The app actually allows me to do NOTHING. How can a company like that still exist?
This firm is a joke
This firm is a joke, paying for people with their own payed account to edit my file. Yes something what ads say, sharing work bla bla, its possible but pay another license, so for one guy with one device pay two or more licenses to work on more workspaces
GREEDY
Upping the pricing by 50% is so god damn greedy. I'll be looking for another product to use.

Customer service is clearly not their priority anymore
I wanted to share a recent experience that our team had with Figma in order to warn other teams of their inflexible billing practices and how little they care about customer loyalty. There have been several scenarios over the past few years that has led me to agree strongly with the other people who have have questioned their shady billing practices. I expect to be looking for a replacement for Figma for our team over the coming months.
Here's a copy of my recent email to their support team, which received no response:
---
Dear Figma Team,
I am writing to express my profound disappointment regarding the recent interactions I’ve had with your team about our annual subscription renewal. After noticing an overdue invoice on October 17th, I immediately reached out to discuss our options. Given that our organization recently went through a round of layoffs, we no longer require several licenses, making a full renewal both unnecessary and fiscally unwise.
Despite my proactive outreach, I was informed during our scheduled call on October 28th that it was “literally impossible” to make any adjustments to our account at this stage. Frankly, this response is unacceptable. It is common practice for companies to handle account adjustments—particularly in situations like ours, where circumstances have changed significantly. To assert otherwise and to deny any flexibility is both dismissive and insulting to my intelligence and my experience managing design teams and vendor accounts.
To add to the frustration, the account executive not only had the wrong company name but also did not have accurate renewal dates at hand, which suggests a lack of basic preparedness. When I brought these mistakes to her attention, she did not acknowledge them or offer any apology, instead brushing them off and moving forward with her response. This unprofessional handling of our account made it clear that there was little commitment to addressing our needs or treating our business with respect.
As a result of Figma’s decision, our bill is effectively double what it should be, leaving us financially responsible for unused licenses that we simply don’t need. Figma’s choice to capitalize on its market dominance to maintain rigid billing practices amid a widespread industry downturn deeply undermines the trust many of us have placed in your tool for years. I have long championed Figma in the design community, bringing many teams and clients to your platform. However, if this approach reflects Figma’s current treatment of customers, I cannot continue recommending your services.
Given the current circumstances, I plan to shift to a monthly billing model while I explore alternatives for the teams I manage. I will also be sharing my experience publicly to inform other design leaders about Figma’s increasingly inflexible business practices, which seem to reflect a concerning shift in the culture you’re modeling as a company. I believe it is only fair to caution others who, like me, prioritize tools that are responsive to their clients’ needs.
I hope this feedback encourages Figma to reconsider how it values customer loyalty and service.
Shady pricing system
Figma has lots cool features and a big community, but unfortunately their pricing system is shady. Even both have a pro accpunt you have to pay extra to collablrate. You find it out after they bill you!! You dont get a message that you get paid for the seat. For design and dev Freelancers this is not very friendly.
Great stuff for free
I find that this site allows a lot of things for free. There is still room for improvement but it already allows me a lot of things for free, and I could still go for the paid version that appeals to me.
Enough for most simple design jobs
Enough for most simple design jobs. The interface is clean and user-friendly.
Terrible experience!
Terrible experience!
I received a Figma Store gift card from one of my friends for my birthday (he thought I can use it to pay a month of a subscription), I asked for some sort of refund or something - the answer was NO, all purchases are final.
Okay, I decided to get some stuff from the store to at least make a use of the gift card.
I had a 30€ gift card, could only buy one notebook and a few pins since the shipping alone was 10€.
Their terms of sales specifically states, that wherever you order from, you will not pay any customs.
"Depending on your location, your Order will be shipped from the United Kingdom, Ireland, or the United States. You will not need to pay customs on your Orders.
European Union: Orders from customers in the European Union will be shipped from Ireland."
Well I just got an email from the Customs service, that I need to pay 12€ for customs on one poor notebook and a few pins for my backpack.
Terrible service, get your act together please.
I have seen some of the negative…
I have seen some of the negative reviews and agree that it feels very difficult to stay on top of costs, when its so easy for new Editors to be created and forgotten about, or in my case I got billed an annual subscription and a monthly subscription for the same account in one year - meaning I paid twice for one product - how the hell does that happen?? but they gave me a full refund of the annual amount when I raised it - no questions asked. To me this felt like good service - so I give them 5 stars. Yes its easy to get charged for things you don't want, but its the cost of creating something that needs to be very flexible. It works brilliantly, we all love it - so now we just need to be more vigilant and make sure we aren't lazy when it comes to managing our Figma subscriptions and Design Seats. I now review my Design seats every month, accepting that this is my responsibility as a creative manager - and I have no complaints!
