I completed the Emergency Outdoor First Aid course and found it really informative and helpful. Alan delivered the training in a really engaging way, and the training covered several important areas related to Outdoor First Aid.

Really enjoyed the first aid course, learnt a lot, was well presented by Alan, who was very informative and helpful.

The course was delivered by Alan who has a wide experience of first aid issues and is able to put these across in a very interesting way. The course was very well paced and the practicals were informative and fun. It's my 3rd course with First Aid Academy.

The best First Aid course I’ve taken.

I took the 'Outdoor First Aid' 2-day course in Dec 2025, taught by Alan Sherliker. It is a great-quality course, with clear materials, well-structured lectures and videos, useful handouts, lots of practice, and delivered very professionally.

This was fabulous First Aid training provided by Maggie. Maggie totally took on board our training needs and her teaching was so clear and fun too. Her knowledge, backed by personal experiences is first rate and she has a great method of teaching and communication skills which encouraged my old grey matter to retain her teachings. Exceeded our expectations. The best first aid course I have ever attended.

Excellent Emergency FAW + Forestry training course run by Maggie for a group of conservation volunteers. The course met and exceeded our objectives agreed with FAA beforehand thanks to Maggie’s expertise, wide ranging and relevant experience and engaging enthusiasm. Lots for us to take forward now.

I usually dislike first aid courses but this one was different. I felt instantly comfortable with Deb (our trainer) and never felt pressured or rushed.

I recommend going with them!

A brilliant course . Maggie is a very experienced course leader and gave us lots to think about. We looked at life threatening and potentially life changing injuries and illnesses, where time is short and what you decide to do really does make a difference. Lots of practice sessions outside as well as classroom demonstrations and discussions

Maggie delivers the Outdoor First Aid Course very well. There is a lot to cover but it is presented with a mix of media and lots of outdoor practise. I have confidence that when required I will deliver effective First Aid.

Brilliant course Phil was great teacher and put me at ease when I anxious doing the course due to my mobility issues . I learnt a lot from this course and enjoyed the course

Alan is very personable and professional. We came away form the course feeling well informed but also that it was very easy to engage with the course content due to the way in which it was presented.

Great Course. Alan balanced the content delivery very well, keeping it fast paced enough to stay engaged, whilst also covering the content to sufficient detail to give a really good understanding. He was also very flexible about spending less time on content the group was already familiar with, and more time on content relevant to the groups needs.

Loved it - a great 2 days experience. I learned a lot of practical skills on how to deliver first aid. Alan and Debs were great.

An excellent two day course. Maggie was our tutor for the course, her energy and enthusiasm made the content easier to retain and interesting. It was actually a fun few days! Thank you.
