I hired FixTman through Thumbtack to install a custom EasyClosets closet system that cost $3,400. Before hiring them I sent the full installation guide and they confirmed in writing they could complete the job, sending photos implying prior experience with similar closets.
The technician cancelled twice, arrived late, and did not speak English. He failed to remove old fixtures, did not mount the closet to the wall, left shelves backwards and unattached, drilled unauthorized holes into the pre-drilled particleboard system permanently destroying it, and discarded components of my closet beside my trash without my knowledge or consent.
I requested a manager come assess the damage. FixTman sent a second technician instead who was rude and disrespectful to my wife inside our home and was asked to leave. FixTman continues to deflect responsibility, telling me I am jumping to conclusions and that it can be fixed. It cannot. Incorrectly drilled particleboard cannot be repaired, and the discarded components are custom pieces that cannot be individually replaced.
I have photos, video, and all written communications documented. I have filed complaints with Thumbtack. Do not let this company into your home.
Great quality of work and great work techs to do the job.
Poor, installed overhead garage storage system and was not properly anchored to the trusses. The tech used drywall anchors, broke loose from the ceiling. What a disaster. The company refused to correct the situation. Avoid t his company at all costs.

This S-Show should be called Unfit.
They call to schedule on a Thursday at 9:00 at night for Friday am.
Then call Friday am saying tech has car trouble will send someone later . Then call says tech feels it’s to late,Will come Saturday. Saturday cancel says no one in area will come Sunday . Sunday no show wants to schedule Monday told them go to heck. Being in the service industry it’s customary if u can’t do day of schedule to accommodate next day asap.
They are a TOTAL CLOWN Show I would say 3 ring circus but that would require I staying 3 rings .

The website indicated they could install appliances. That is not true. The tech sent to install my hood was not a qualified appliance installation person. He didn't know code for installation and placed it at the wrong height. Then because it had to be moved, there are visible holes in my tile. The hood was dented, has permanent marker on it, is crooked, and wobbles. I would strongly warn against hiring this company for anything other than putting together simple furniture. And be ready to have your new products damaged.
My technician, Saeid, was very professional, courteous & does quality work. The job - installing (3) drapery rods & curtains - turned out beautifully! I would definitely have FixTMan & Saeid do work for me again! Thank you!
This was an unsafe and deeply disturbing experience.
The technician sent by FixTman incorrectly assembled a bunk bed, installed pieces in the wrong order, and attempted to drill and force new holes instead of using the pre-drilled ones designed for proper assembly—causing damage. He even installed the bunk bed stairs backwards, something my 10-year-old immediately noticed was wrong.
More seriously, after being told to stop when he could not drill into metal studs, he mounted a TV into drywall. The television fell. A falling TV of that size could easily kill or severely injure a crawling baby or small child. I removed him from my home immediately because my children were no longer safe.
Despite this, FixTman attempted to send the same technician back after telling me a different one would be assigned, which destroyed my trust. I did not pay for the service due to unsafe, incomplete work and am now dealing with wall damage, a damaged bunk bed, and a completely destroyed television. Families should proceed with extreme caution.
What a waste of time. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. You will regret it. They will waste your time with excuses. Day off the will give even more excuses as to why their techs haven’t show up. Your day will be wasted and they will harass you to reschedule. This is not a quality company. YOUVE BEEN WARNED. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!
BE CAREFUL! They quote you a price, and what they actually pay the technician is LESS THAN HALF that amount. They provide a useful matching service, but a more than 2x markup for their fees is ridiculous (hundreds of dollars in case). It's cheating and they should pay their (independent) technicians way better, its a shame. This is more or less a shell of a company with all India/Philippines/SE Asia based people you'll talk to. I would avoid.
⭐ 1 Star — Very disappointing experience
I scheduled a service appointment after being asked what time worked best for me. I specifically chose 9:00 a.m. on a Monday, and I made my plans around that time.
After confirming, I was then told that the technician could arrive anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., which was already different from what I had agreed to — but I adjusted my schedule and accepted the two-hour window.
On the day of the appointment, 11:00 a.m. came and went with no technician, no phone call, no text, and no update of any kind. At that point I canceled the service.
This was a frustrating and unprofessional experience. If a company cannot respect scheduled time windows or communicate delays, it shows a lack of respect for the customer’s time. I was very disappointed and would hesitate to use this service again.
I had a tv put onto my wall. The man asked questions to make sure i had just what i wanted. He cleaned up after himself and even arrived early. I was very happy.
The technician could not find my home and arrived late. Then he also came with his girlfriend/wife and did not understand why this was unacceptable/ unprofessional. I explained to him as calmly as possible that I did not want an extra person in my home. He then refused to assemble my vanity and left. I followed him out and asked for him to call his supervisor and he ignored me.
Do not use this place and if you do, record your experience. Quick to take your money and you will have to fight tooth and nail to get a refund. They have no street address to their company in TX. Accent is Indian and I’m sure they are oversees.
I hired them for 75” tv mount. $250 was quote. Tech spent 4 hrs putting it up. That means he didn’t know how to do it. Tv fell several hours later ruining the stone fireplace and mantle. I sent pics and they sent the same tech back who was an hr late within the arrival window. I asked for a new tech since he didn’t speak english very well and didn’t have a ladder either. The tech realized he couldn’t fix it. Agreed I should get my money back.
I exhausted all options and kept asking for a refund. To my surprise, they said I would be still be charged $30 since the tech arrived at my house. I lost my cool. They proceeded to state the service was rendered so refund wasn’t possible. Then they stated they had no idea how to issue a refund. Then they had to check with their “manager”. Then I told them I plan to sue them. Asked for their lawyers number, address and all the info. I was irate at poor customer service and stated I can pay for service but service was not completed - the tv is on the floor and almost broken. I am financially stable and the principle of no refunds for a near death experience was unjust. I also stated I recorded the encounters and conversations with their tech and would post it online for all to see. The same person who called me didn’t give me her name and I’m sure it was the same person doing customer service, QC and their “manager”. Then they issued an informal letter wanting me to indemnify them and that they “stepped in to help me and their tech..” it was not written formally so I knew it wouldn’t hold up in court. I pushed for them to hurry up because I was already screaming at them through the phone. After I signed the indemnification letter, they said they had to get to their finance office first —-um, no, I know they don’t have one so I insisted they still hurry up or I will post this experience online and sue. I finally got my refund within 30 min. This company is corrupt and has poor business practices. Their 30day warranty is not accurate.
Call their bluff. Dispute it with your credit card and give your credit card company all the recorded video and emails. Keep a paper trail with time stamps. I don’t mind paying for service. I do have a problem with irrational service and irrational justifications. There is always a way to work with customers.
Ali came and did a phenomenal job. Finished in under an hour, perfectly level, brought his own mount and checked with me throughout the process. This company had the widest availability on short notice, and gave me the most competitive price. Will 100% use them for any future needs and recommend them to others.
Used the company for assembling a trampoline and they did a wonderful job- the only issue was the appointment was scheduled and technician got delayed at prior appointment on two occasions- when he did get to the appointment it was done well and at a reasonable cost .
I needed 3 extra long curtain rods taken down, relocated and remounted. Matthew was the best! He arrived on time, was polite, respectful, and professional. He demonstrated a concern about the quality of work, making sure that he completed the job with care. I look forward to hiring him again and would be recommending him to all of my friends and family.
Had 70 inch Tv mounted and cords installed in the wall. Great service and next day service.
