Great Tutor

My experience with the New Zealand School of Food and Wine was very positive. The tutors were supportive, patient, and very knowledgeable. I learned new skills and felt confident throughout my study. The school provides a great learning environment, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

If you can arrange to provide syllabus including main course handout before training day.

I had wanted to support myself in a broader understanding basic food handling. I found the online programme informative and covered the information I was looking for, plus some.
The Tutor was clear and kept the class moving at a good pace. It was convenient for me to fit the session with minimal disruption to my work day.
Anyone who loves to cook & host whanau at home should look to attend this course.

It was well explained, the tutor gave the answers without me knowing the questions and I am glad I took notes to remind me of them. I would do it all over again if I had to.

I felt like the online class was unnecessary, the tutor was boring and didn't hold attention very well. She just spoke about things that were already in the handbook and we could have just read the handbook instead of listening to her. Assessment could of just been given straight away and not a dragged out class then assessment

The teacher was very well qualified and connected with us well. Taught well and helped when someone got lost. Good energy and atmosphere, and overall a very good class. Learnt a lot in a short amount of time without feeling stressed.

I appreciate their effort, teaching & training systems are fully based on practical learning. I am fully satisfied by doing this barista course but if it would be for at least 5 days, that might help to enhance our practical experience. Highly recommended for others

I loved this course! The teacher was very friendly and funny and had a huge amount of knowledge and expertise, which he enthusiastically shared with us. We learnt to make a huge range of breads, which I have since enjoyed making at home. It would have been good to have the recipe book in digital format as well as on paper. It would have been good to have chairs, as 6 hours in a row standing up was not possible for me. Would highly recommend this course to others.

Very throrough course, it was a long day of focusing.
It's essentially the tutor (who is very knowledgeable) reading through through the booklet so pre-reading isn't essential - but could be helpful.
Would be great to hear more te reo Māori used throughout.

The course booklet and additional online links and websites are a must have for success.

I have wanted to learn how to make artisan bread for such a very long time, and finally learned how to bake perfect breads. We had great fun too, the breads we made were delicious, and we particularly liked all the little handy tricks and facts that Ralph shared. He is an awesome and funny teacher! I took home a bit of sourdough starter, called him Kees and am now baking breads every weekend. Highly recommended workshop! Thanks so much.

The instructor and people were really lovely, it was so awesome to learn a new skill and have a hands-on learning experience.
