Very fun, matches everyday to look forward to, if you are lucky you can get players, develop them and even make some profit. There is also plenty of opportunities to make money finishing high in the table every single month, Footium is almost like a side hustle lol

Came in with the caretaker experience last season. Lost out on promotion by GD(lost the last match to the guy who pipped me). Was fun and scratched an itch for a football type manager game.
I purchased the club after the season rolled over. Its not the cheapest game to get into if you buy the most expensive option. As my caretaker squad had over a 1/3 of its players age 30+, I was going to need new players so I went with the $80 dollar bundle which comes with the club and 27 new players(20 players + 7 if you signed up through a referral link).
They added a $40 dollar bundle with this newest season which allows you to purchase the club and the current set of caretaker players, so if you have a decent and youngish group of caretaker players, they become yours, but are untradable until they retire.
You can also just buy a club for around $20, but then you'll need to buy players. You can likely get a slightly better overall squad if you are smart about it that way, but its hard to beat the 7 players you get from the referral bonus as they usually start out as bronze tier(40+ ratings).
They added upgradable academy buildings that effect base overall, total potential, and other stats as well. Between this and your stadium it has some longer term goals to strive for. This isnt just a game you can sign up for and expect to extract from the economy without putting in the work. But if you put in that work and make frugal buys/minting of academy players. You should be able to do enough to be close to break even and enjoy the game.

Being playing since Beta Version more than 2 years ago and I love Footium...

Amazing game and is growing season by season.

I've been involved in the Footium project since the original mint event. Unlike many crypto-adjacent projects spinning up around the same time with big promises they couldn't fulfil (*cough* Metasoccer *cough*), the Footium team took their time to build a fun, engaging and most importantly, sustainable game. Since then, it has gone from strength to strength.

If you're looking for the depth of Football Manager, or the hands-on gameplay of FIFA, you'll need to readjust your expectations, but what the game is, is an engaging and fun game centered around your club.

The best part of Footium is arguably the community, with which the game team regularly engage with, as well as genuinely take and act upon feedback from.

You can compete at any level of finance (even play for free as a Caretaker if you want!), and I'd recommend Footium to anyone who might enjoy this type of game!

The game is great, and made some great improvements lately, been playing for about 25 seasons now, the team are very ethical and helpful too.

Fun game if you like Football manager games and want to try to make some money out of it. Good pricing and fair rewards for each division.

I joined footium excited to play it as my favourite youtuber TomFM was playing it until I realised how much it cost to own a permanent club. $70. Absolutely ridiculous I wouldn't recomend the game as the caretaker manager option is only for 1 season so that means that any new player can then come in and take the club and ruin your hard work.

GOATED GAME! Everything about the gaming experience is fluid and enjoyable - would recommend to anyone, even those who aren’t mega into football

The GAME is great, I love all but one thing. You have to get rid of players only being available on OPENSEA and not in TRANSFER market. I've played for three seasons and still haven't figured it out. Fortunately you don't need it at the lower levels, I just use the TRANSFER Market.

Such a unique concept. Owning your own football club and making the decisions that shape its future is something I’ve never experienced anywhere else.

The game is really engaging – you take on the role of an owner, making key decisions on things like transfers, finances, staffing and the overall direction of your club, while competing against other real owners. It strikes a great balance between strategy and football, and it’s genuinely exciting seeing your club develop over time.

The community is brilliant too, and it’s clear the team behind Footium really care about building something different. If you’re a football fan looking for something a bit unique, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try.

Addictive game. Feel like I’m managing a real club. Making decision on buying players, bringing through academy players and setting formation and mentality in game.

The Discord server is always a hive of activity and the team are very responsive .

Although I’m not a massive football fan I have this a go after it was recommended and it’s all about strategy which made it really fun for me. The fact that you can win money of your do well is awesome too! And the community around it and regular updates by email are all really great too.

As a long term football manager player, it feels great to play and be rewarded for your efforts! Very enjoyable game

Sam and George do an amazing job! Having built a game that is fun to play and with real progression! They have built a great community feel on discord and listen to the users to then apply updates! The game has come so far in the 8 months I have been playing and excited to see where season. 22 goes next!
