I have a set of mahogany side tables which have been re polished by Barrdale French Polishers and they have done such a beautiful job of stripping back the old dark colour and applying a lovely rich glowing colour to the tables. It has given them a new life and I am delighted with the result. I would recommend Barrdale to anyone looking for their furniture to be revived.

Very professional and skilled staff
Very professional and skilled business. Great communication and very helpful staff making the whole process simple and straightforward.
We had 6 Ercol chairs and a small table refurbished and the standard of finish was excellent and couldn't be faulted.
I would thoroughly recommend this firm for any Ercol restoration or repair work needed.

Our Dining Room Table now looks like new!
We had our Dining Room Table top completely re-polished. This was needed because a previous "french polisher" had made a very poor job following an insurance claim. Dale was very good at explaining the work required, and produced an absolute masterpiece of a table top. We would not hesitate to recommend him, to anyone needing some French Polishing.

Ercol furniture refurbished
We had an Ercol dining set refurbished last year and were absolutely delighted with the way Dale transformed our furniture from dark, tatty to blonde with a silky sheen. This year we have had the accompanying dresser refurbished. It looks stunning - again it has a lovely blonde sheen and the beauty of the grain is now shining through. A job well done
We had a grease stain on our dining room table which was very unsightly so we looked for a company to renovate it. Barrdale gave us advice and a quote and we agreed to go ahead and.We are glad we did!
They did an excellent job within the time they quoted. Pick up and drop was great and they gave advice on after care. Very professional and good customer care. Highly recommended.

Premium Quality Restorations
I had been covering a living room dining table for a number of years because it had become unsightly, having been the subject of water damage and surface scratches.
Having had the dining table for many years there was an obvious sentimental attachment and we searched for a local renovator and came across Barrdale.
I was able to book an appointment for them to provide an examination and quote and the work was completed within one week.
The quality of finish was out of this world and I can whole heartedly recommend them if you want a premium result.

Absolutely disgusting customer service
Absolutely disgusting customer service, my father called to obtain a quote for a tiger wood dining table, the man stated that he was not in the office and requested that a photograph and the dimensions to be sent to his mobile phone so that he could issue a quote, to which my father sent, he received no reply. When my dad called the man back he claimed there were issues with the computers in the office. When my dad told him that the photographs were sent to a mobile phone and asked if this man was wasting his time, the man from Barrdale replied “good lad” and put the phone down on my father. 1 star is generous.

Superb Craftmanship
We were refurbishing a dinning room and decided to retain the very old dinning table & chairs and sideboard. Old fashioned but very good quality. So we asked Barrdale to renovate and french polish and re-upholster the chairs. The result is exceptional . Old world craftmanship and attention to detail at its best. Plus their customer service is first class.

Fantastic restoration of bookcase and table
Just got my bookcase and table back from Barrdale. Both had been neglected over the years and when I sent them off to Barrdale, had badly damaged surfaces so I wasn't expecting more than a modest improvement but they have come back looking absolutely fantastic! I couldn't be happier. Many thanks to Dale and all the team! Happy to recommend Barrdale to anyone looking to restore furniture even if in a very poor condition.

Couldn’t be happier
We have just had a table refinished by Barrdales and we are thrilled by the result. The table is of huge sentimental value to us (we bought it new in 1984) and we were very nervous about having it refinished, particularly as the finish is a very light sheen which we thought would be difficult to replicate. The table now looks as good as it did 40 years ago and we couldn’t be happier. Throughout the process the communication has been excellent. Barrdales are a great example of a family company who care about their reputation and customer satisfaction.

Brilliant company, Top work
Brilliant company, came to see me within a day, was very knowledgeable about my item of furniture (large Chinese chest) gave me a genuine realistic price, I was happy with this and the chest taken and just returned to me a week later, the finished job is lovely, beautiful rich colour and properly repaired, very happy and will be using Barrdale to restore another item of furniture very soon

Re polished table & sideboard
We are very pleased with the service we had from Barrdale. The both guys were very professional and helpful.
We had our dinning table re polished and the colour darkened. When Dale brought the table back we were very pleased so decided to get sideboard and small coffee tables to match. We would definitely recommend Barrdale.
