Very fast delivery of a new table for our study! Had to wait a few weeks for it to arrive but i think thats normal for some larger furniture and the product is very nice!

We LOVE the 67"x43" Saarinen-style oval marble dining table that we bought from FS Worldwide. It's GORGEOUS. The table was packed securely and we were happy with the freight shipping. The service provided by Ben at FS Worldwide made our experience positive and pleasant!

This review is long as it goes into details we wish we had known when we were shopping for this table.

The authentic branded pedestal tables at Knoll (78" and 96" ovals) are too large for our layout, so we spent weeks gathering information, examining photos, and reading reviews from over 20 stores in search of smaller-scale replicas. Right off the bat, FS Worldwide's (aka Vertigo Interiors) medium table stood out from the rest: right size, good description, a comparatively excellent price, and free shipping!

Before spending our hard-earned money with a business we had never heard of before October, we asked FS Worldwide lots of questions. We never spoke directly on the phone with anyone, but Ben was quick to respond to our e-mails using the generic address listed on the website. His answers were always thorough, complete, and assuring. We learned that the Italian marble is imported to China where the tables are manufactured, polished, and finished.

The table was out of stock during this time, but Ben said they'd have a shipment by mid-November and to go ahead with the online order OR place a $100 down payment with him. To make this process a bit more complicated, we told him we'd be traveling abroad and would be unable to accept any deliveries until December. He said that it was no problem and he would have the warehouse hold onto our table until we returned. So we placed the order on the website and included a note to remind them not to ship too early.

In December, Ben confirmed with us that we had indeed returned home. A few days later we learned that the table had been loaded on an Estes Express truck. He said the table should arrive that Friday. Given that we never received a tracking number and that it was traveling 1200+ miles via freight, we decided to estimate the table's arrival to be one additional week later. Luckily we didn't have to wait that long - we heard from the freight company the following Monday when they scheduled a delivery for Tuesday!

The driver showed up within his 4-hour window in a semi with a full size trailer. The marble top was crated on its side. The table's single stand was in its own wooden box that was wrapped in heavy duty black plastic and attached to the crate holding the marble. Since our driveway is flat, the driver generously offered to wheel the pallet into our garage. We had not paid for White Glove/inside delivery.

Later that evening, we cut the black wrap away and unboxed the stand first. It was loosely wrapped in a clear plastic sheet, and a rim of foam protected the stand's base as well as the attached wood plate. Directions, screws, washers, and Allen wrenches were also inside the box. The stand is not as heavy as we were afraid it might be, and I (a woman at 110 lbs) could have carried it up the stairs by myself. Underneath the stand, felt adhesives were already affixed to the bottom to protect our home's hard flooring. A white wood plate was screwed into the stand, and it was pre-drilled with six holes for the marble top. The stand's coated cast aluminum is smooth and glossy. I'm no expert, but having seen the real Knoll version a couple times, I'd say the replica stand's shape is very close; it "melts" into the floor in nearly the same fashion as an authentic Saarinen.

We gently tipped and laid the marble's thin crate flat on top of the pallet. Using a crowbar, we tapped the crate apart (held together by a combination of nails and glue). The marble table top was tightly wrapped in clear plastic sheeting, and the oval edge was rimmed with a circumference of protective foam. Through the wrap, we could see that another wood base plate was screwed to the marble along with six pre-drilled holes. This wood plate had an extra layer of bubble wrap laying over it. Within the crate, the entire top assembly lay in a bed of Styrofoam that was cut and shaped to snugly fit the oval.

Once unwrapped, we were amazed. The marble is polished to a very attractive shine. Although Ben said it probably doesn't need to be sealed immediately, we bought some specialty marble sealer and cleaner sprays anyway. The top has the typical "flea bite" nicks found in natural stone, and the gray veining and flecks of inclusions lend beautiful character. The edge has a very smooth and attractive bevel (though I don't think it's as deeply angled as what I recall the authentic Knoll versions having). No major scratches or gouges.

I was not home when my husband had a strong neighbor helped him carry it upstairs. Not sure how much it weighs, but Ben said the marble top alone is about 300 lbs (the freight company lists the total shipment weight as 430 lbs). Husband said placing the marble on top and screwing the base to it from underneath was not difficult.

We do not have children, but we've tried aggressively pushing down, leaning, and hanging on it to determine the danger it might pose to dangling toddlers. This table appears very sturdy, and we do not feel that the risk is great enough to warrant any additional safety features. We feel it will be safe around little nieces and nephews. ***As everyone knows, everything is a risk with kids around, so don't just take our word for it - you must assess it yourself!***

Bottomline, we are so grateful that Ben and FS Worldwide took the time to work with our specific delivery schedule. We appreciate Ben's communication, and we're extremely pleased with the way the table was packaged and delivered. This table is an excellent, high quality replica that arrived in flawless condition!

My product questions were answered, I crossed my fingers and the transaction went smoothly. My chairs and cushions were perfectly packaged and arrived without a scratch on them. Based on this experience I would definitely do business with FSW again.

Their customer service was great and delivery was quick. I had a little damage on my order and they resolved quickly by ordering me a replacement part.

WE HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE FROM START TO FINISH AND ARE SO HAPPY WITH OUR TABLE!

I was a bit apprehensive about buying online for what was for me an extremely significant purchase of a mid-century modern inspired dining table... even at the great price offered by this vendor. I did not notice until the table was on its way that the delivery was freight to curbside. The weight and size would require at least three strong people to carry it up my stairs and since I had not initially ordered White Glove Delivery service (though it was definitely needed and worth the price), the local freight agent could not make the delivery as scheduled. I got really nervous for a bit, especially with Thanksgiving coming and limited windows for me to be home for a delivery. My calls and emails to Furniture Source Worldwide were handled really, really well. This table was kind of a pain to get into my house, but I felt like I had a partner backing me up to get it done. And now that the table is in...well I am just thrilled! I hope the next owner of this house loves it as much as I do, because it is not leaving. :-)

There are an infinite number of furniture product online retailers who sell affordable classic modern 20th century furniture. It's obvious and apparent that classic and simple designs will always thrive over some designs of the last 20 years. The key to winning most customers is a company's service and product knowledge. I love my new furniture and received it sooner than I expected.

They were prompt in responding with lead times and questions about the products. We've ordered twice so far. 6 Eames chairs for our home and 2 management chairs for our office. The products did not disappoint. Quality is as described and they are just like the pictures you see. The office chairs arrived two days or so late, but with the snow storm here that was acceptable. I received my Panton chairs last week. They've instantly changed the entire look of my patio. The color is perfect, same as pictured on the website. The chairs seem sturdy.
