Currently eleven months in with Amal Investing and would highly recommend for people that are into (halal) investing. Being a professional graphic designer I value the good UI and the look and feel of the website. Communication with customer service is just as good and clear.

However the biggest reason I chose for Amal Invest: the very well executed 'genocide free filter' As a muslim investor I believe we should look carefully in what we invest in: we should look beyond what is sharia compliant and critically examine the companies that are compliant in the genocide of our Palestinian brothers and sisters for instance.

Amal Invest does a great job at this because you can apply a BDS (boycott, sanction, divest) filter as well as blacklist specific companies (looking at you Elon!) that will fit your personal ethics and moral.

I've been searching for an investment tool that caters to Shariah compliance for ages. Most options out there are either too limited or too difficult to navigate. When I stumbled on the Fund Purifier (through Reddit, I think?), I was hopeful but cautious. My past experiences with so-called "Muslim friendly" advisors left a bad taste in my mouth -- high fees, low returns and vague promises.
