Badly damaged batch of plants. Seller won't provide solution
First-time customer at this company. I ordered Laurier Caucasica plants in 2 sizes. They got delivered on 2 different pallets with inconsistent labels. One was printed professionally, the other one handwritten. Smaller plants were healthy. Roots wet and they got new blossoms. Larger plants on the other pallet were in terrible condition. Nearly dried out and sandy roots, lots of bad scars and damages to the trunks. 2 plants are beyond saving as the main trunks lost 80% of the skin on them. The rest of the batch seemed very dull. Not a lot of leaves and no new blossoms even though delivered and apparently harvested at the same time. Damages to the plants were multiple years old and clearly not from recent trimming or harvesting. Some trunk sections had dead wood. Looked as if they were sourced from different supplier, have been in cold storage, or perhaps harvested out of an existing hedge. The batch also turned out to be of mixed types; Caucasica mixed with Rotundifolia. Easy to tell by the shape of the leaves. These plants grow very differently.
I contacted the seller the same day to explain the situation. Provided pictures and video material. He promised to find out. Next day told me the damages are from trimming, and rejected my complaint. I again provided more detailed pictures and asked for the two worst plants to be replaced. After one week of calling and promising a solution he stopped answering my calls. I have ordered hundreds of plants from multiple suppliers in NL over the years, but I haven't come across such an unprofessional company as Gardline.nl. I did my research before I bought the plants. I saw near 100% positive reviews online. Please don't be fooled by reviews; those are about Gardline in Germany. That is not the same company as Gardline.nl
I would have given 1 star review, but I give 2 because at least one batch was ok.
