Cirqa died after 48 hours of normal use..
Hi everyone,
I am sharing my extremely frustrating experience here because I am completely out of patience.
After waiting three long months for my Garmin Cirqa to arrive (like many others caught in the massive global supply delays), I finally received the device. However, my excitement turned into anger very quickly: the device completely died and stopped recording after just 2 days of normal use.
Yesterday afternoon, the optical heart rate sensor completely shut off. The app shows a 72% battery remaining, but the sensor LEDs are entirely dead, sleep tracking failed, body battery flatlined, and all data transmission stopped.
I have already tried everything:
Performed multiple hard resets (holding the power button for 20+ and 30+ seconds).
Tried resetting it while connected to the magnetic charging cable.
Verified that Garmin Connect recognizes the connection status, but the hardware/firmware is completely locked up and unresponsive.
What makes this especially painful is that I have been a loyal Garmin customer and ecosystem user for over 20 years. I currently run multiple high-end Garmin devices (like my Epix 2), advocating for the brand everywhere I go. To wait 3 months for a flagship-launch product only for it to become a brick after 48 hours of use is completely unacceptable for a company of Garmin's standing.
Where is the quality control? How can an early adopter who has trusted this brand for two decades be left with a dead device and no working support response?
I expect an immediate and expedited hardware replacement (DOA swap) without having to wait another 3 months in a queue.
Has anyone else experienced this catastrophic hardware failure with the Cirqa right out of the box? Any advice from moderators on how to get an urgent RMA replacement processed would be deeply appreciated.
