Constant breakdowns

Constant breakdowns, long wait for expensive parts and very unreliable.
Just had our 3rd person trapped in the lift today within a 12 month period and once again the lift is now out of action. Also difficult to free people when they are stuck, last time having to use a trolley jack on the doors until something gave way.

Prominent in their field

Prominent in design these lifts are good looking and almost silent in their function. The product is poorly advertised and my architect advised me to install living in Scotland the cover is subcontracted to a firm based near Glasgow (Saltire) which in my opinion is at the top of their game. The installation went well and the Gartec specialist engineers took care to avoid damaging the underfloor heating. Initially they had only one engineer covering Scotland but they then sub-contracted servicing and things improved remarkably. I would thoroughly recommend this lift

This company are without doubt the…

This company are without doubt the worst lift company we have ever had the misfortune to works with. Their customer service and communication is woeful. They should be avoided at all costs and we most certainly would not recommend using them.
Following my negative review they replied with a half hearted apology and tried to pass the buck to their manufacturer. Their comments in the response are plainly untrue and they still did not acknowledge their total indifference and the inexcusable manner in which they ignored any correspondence or requests from anybody including solicitors for explanations or proposals to resolve the problem or offer any kind of consideration.

My husband was left waiting 24 hours…

My husband was left waiting 24 hours for an engineer to fix the lift. I made 3 phone calls. Each time I was told that I was booked in for a service the following day. On each occasion I said he was stuck upstairs now. Each time I was told an engineer would make contact. On my final call, at 5.20pm, I was told the office was now closed. An engineer finally made contact gone 6pm and said he wasn’t coming because it was now out of hours and not considered an emergency. It didn’t matter that my original phone call was at 10 am. They had no intention of coming because we were booked in for a service, but no one said we aren’t coming and we waited all day. The engineer we spoke to on the phone said he would let his manager know we are unhappy with waiting 24 hours with no communication. No one has responded. I have also filled out their how did we do form and no one has responded. When an engineer did finally turn up they were friendly, efficient and we were very happy with the work and service.

Efficient and punctual, courteous and thorough

I really appreciate it when workmen arrive punctually and get on with the task and are thorough in completing the task well.
This was my experience.
No complaints but lots of praise!

Power failure

Due to a power failure, someone became trapped inside the lift. We promptly contacted customer service and were informed that a service engineer would return our call to assist. While waiting, we managed to resolve the situation ourselves by searching for guidance online.

Although the customer service representative was friendly and polite throughout the call, it would have been more helpful if they had immediate access to relevant troubleshooting information to assist us more effectively in real time.

very poor communication and service

very poor communication and service. can barely get a hold of anyone and have to chase to get the lift service every time. and no prior warning on and if anyone is coming
