I have recently bought and sold a house with the Didsbury office and have been very pleased with their communication, efficiency and consideration in what proved to be quite a stressful experience due to other factors.
At all stages I was kept informed of developments and given all the relevant information I needed about the process. James Thornley and James Mosedale were so helpful throughout.
I would recommend for their personal and sensitive client service.

We recently sold and bought a house using the Frodsham office. We met with 3 local estate agents before deciding who to use and we chose Gascgoine Halman Frodsham as they had the most local knowledge and were the easiest branch to get in touch with.

As is often the case, the whole house move process was quite lengthy and frustrating. But Tracy in particular helped us out with advice, chasing up solicitors and helping to keep on top of the process.

I don’t plan on moving again anytime soon, but if I did I wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again.

We have recently finalised the sale of our house, and purchase of our next (of which the sale side was dealt with by Gascoingn Halman). We would like to particularly thank Dominic from the Sales office in Wilmslow for all his help during the process - he was absolutely the reason why everything ran smoothly and most importantly ran to time. Though we have bought a house previously, this was our first time buying and selling at the same time and Dominic was fantastic at guiding & advising us each step of the way and always on hand for our questions. Dominic was also particularly great with coordinating all the moving parts and knew who to call and when to get things moving, and seeming never hesitate to do so on our behalf, we are extremely grateful. We would thoroughly recommend and hope to use his services again! We would also thoroughly recommend Gascoign Halman Wilmslow too - though we primarily dealt with Dominic, all other colleagues at the Wilmslow office we spoke to during the process were extremely helpful.

Wished to make a cash offer on a property, was told viewings were fully booked and was not even offered to have a video viewing of it. If I were the seller I'd be appalled that potential buyers and potential achievement of a higher price were sent away.

To be fair to the Wilmslow office they did everything they said they would do. From an initial market appraisal through to completion the system worked excellently. Peter Higham took on our instruction and was spot on with his advice , James Poppock then ran our sale and was in touch throughout and was polite and efficient and upto speed throughout. The team were all aware with what was going on and and communication was excellent.
All sounds a bit cheesy ,but its true. Thank you .

Excellent process with Gascoignes, from initial meet with Markus, market appraisal right down to the wire.
Market knowledge and valuation was spot on. Photography clear, perfect contrast and house write up excellent and accurate. Brilliantly managed by Lucy Kershaw throughout with very timely comms and updates. We felt she managed potential buyers very well and helped maintain the integrity of the chain as it developed. Viewings all managed professionally and consistently too. Viewing requests started coming in within an hour or so of being released online. Offers started a few days after viewings and final offer just over a week later. Just excellent team all round! Thank you all.

We agreed to have a property viewing in Manchester today 10 Nov at 3PM.

I live in Bradford and went to the property by public transport, however I got to the property earlier at 2pm then I decided to give them a call for possibility of early viewing because there is no place to wait in this cold weather and the call went to a voice mail. I left a voice message requesting what would be their answer and I requested a callback, but I never heard any response from them, not until now,not even a phone call. Nothing!

I wasn't feeling well today but I still did go all the way from Bradford to the property. Now knowing that they don't even care to call me, I'm very disappointed with their service and how they treated today it's very unprofessional!!!

Gasgoigne Halman, in my opinion, are the creme de la creme of Estate Agents - particularly the WILMSLOW office. Selling my house was being done to enable me to move overseas which made it particularly important and intense as there was a house purchase taking place at the same time. James and his team really pulled out all the stops - even after two buyers they found defaulted and left us in the lurch! At one point I considered using one of the “We buy any house.com” companies - purely out of desperation to prevent the loss of the overseas property. But James and his brilliant team were not for giving up!! Not only did they find another buyer - they found a cash buyer who was in a hurry to complete the sale as soon as possible!
The care and service received from every member of this company was outstanding in every single aspect and I cannot recommend them highly enough to anyone looking for a company with absolute integrity, professionalism and personal attention. Over 10 years ago I had purchased my house through Gasgoignes and now - having experienced their sales expertise as well - for me - they are Simply the Best!!☺️

James Coppock at Gasgoine Halman Wilmslow branch has been fantastic. He’s been supportive in our apartment purchase, always happy to listen to my concerns and make suggestions for solving any issues. He’s been available, responsive and kind. He’s made a difficult process manageable.

I’m only leaving one star because I can’t leave zero.
The staff in the lettings department in Didsbury are dreadful.
Inefficient, unprofessional, unethical and dishonest.
Landlords and tenants should avoid at all costs.

Very disappointed with customer service. Found the staff to be really unhelpful. As a cash buyer had been keen to purchase a property for my daughter and disappointed to learn the property we had secured was taken off the market. Tried to found out why and if there were any other similar properties available through the branch and got absoutley no help from them. Sent a polite message to the manager with honest feedback and requested that he give me a quick call to discuss - 2 weeks later and havent heard back from him. Will now never use Gasgoigne Halman again and recomend other agents who have a little more time and respect for their customers

I went to view a property in Sale on Saturday and was advised of a lot bigger property(sqm)by the agent from Gascoigne Halman.After telling him how much I had as deposit,on Monday the office rang me and told the property I saw is gone and trying to sell me a more expensive property.What a shame!!!!

I'm writing this having been the purchaser of a property, which may carry more weight than those reviews from sellers given the nature of the business. In short, Owen (from the Poynton branch) and his colleagues were astounding. Even with a vested interest in the sale going through (as we all had), Owen went above and beyond - giving the impression that we were his only purchase (which was obviously very far from the case). It may not be an exaggeration to say that Owen was the reason the purchase ultimately went through, even with some considerable bumps in the road. He was always approachable and helpful; an asset to the company!

The sale of my house took place during very difficult circumstances as the U.K. AND ISLE Of MAN were in lock down during different periods during the sale process .I couldn’t visit the property. The property had been rented with Gascoigne Halman for 12 Year before I sold it . The asking price was set at a good level the brochure was produced in a couple of daysand the sale proceeded well
.The first buyers who bought the house within days they couldn’t get the mortgage they needed so the house went back on the market and sold again within a relatively short period of time
in 5 months Oct to March the whole process was completed.
I was kept up to date with emails and phone calls every time there was a viewing
I had dealings with mainly one sales person James but when he was off others kept me informed
Sue the sales secretary was also good at answering queries connected with the sales process.
As I was at a distance I used a solicitor recommended by GH and was pleased with there services I also used an insurance company that was local.
During the cold spell when prospective buyers visited James made sue the house was warm enough to prevent issues with burst pipes I was also alerted to problems with the loft door and garage door and was then able to use GH property maintenance to solve several issues.I think James gave the sale a personal touch
For me the all round service GH provided was very helpful in difficult working circumstances .
I am very pleased with the outcome and would recommend them

Excellent experience with Gascoigne Halman who sold our house for us. Highly efficient, communicative and very helpful advice all the way through. I met Markus Jolleys initially for the valuation who took care and time in forming his opinion and explaining the valuation, market, strategy and overall process. I subsequently dealt mostly with James Coppock in the Wilmslow office who was extremely helpful, always available and very responsive, conscientiously tracking progress of all parties throughout the sale process to ensure everything stayed on course for completion.
