Our specification called for Gates Railings Direct products, they made the process extremely easy, and for a reasonable additional cost provided installation of hoop top rail and a maintenance gate on the site. The installer sent by Gates Railings Direct was very professional, got the job done on time and to a high standard. Emailed this company as needed a new post for railings to match others. Very quick to reply and get measurements, Dean was very friendly and helpful. We got very good advice on the type of railings we needed. They came and measured up almost at once. We were told that production could take up to eight weeks, but they were completed in only six weeks.
They phoned to make an appointment to fit the railings, and this was for just a couple of days ahead.
The railings were fitted very securely, and with no mess at all.
We couldn't be happier with the service, the quality,the fitting, or the sensible cost.

Having retired from teaching Engineering & Design Technology to A' Level, and been a registered Goldsmith, I do understand something of metal working. 

My wife and I ordered 13 railings of different lengths from 'Gates Railings Direct’. The correspondence before doing so, was detailed, informative & very helpful. 

As a result we placed an order and were informed of a lead time of about 8 weeks. 

Today, just over 7 weeks later, the railings were delivered by Paul, one of the two owners of the company. They were carefully packaged & colour coded for the different lengths. Paul carried and placed each onto the patio himself.

On seeing the railings we were instantly delighted. The railings are meticulously made. The welding is brilliantly done, in such a way as to be visibly unnoticeable from the front or back. 

The painting is immaculate with no evidence of the galvanizing underneath. The brackets for mounting to the walls are equally precisely made and finished. There are even additional ones in case of any problems.  

My wife and I are thrilled with the entire look and quality of the railings. 

Over the phone this company is friendly, warm and helpful. Paul himself is just a lovely guy, who is enthusiastic about his products and runs his company as if every order was for his, or this manufacturing team's own homes. 

If you’re thinking of buying gates or railings, whilst from this company 'Gates Railings Direct’, they will not necessarily be the cheapest, they will be brilliantly manufactured and a delight for years.

Lovely personable company to deal with from start to finish. Not having ordered anything like this before, Joy talked me through all of the options, pro's and cons to help finalize my gate design. Arrived yesterday, ahead of schedule, and was delivered by Dean and Andy who talked me through the best way to fit it and even left sample fixings and details to order from my local screwfix. On top of that the gate is beautifully fabricated and looks perfect. This is the way a business should operate!

I was looking for a contemporary design for a gate on our new build home. Gate and Railings direct offered me a number of designs and having chosen one provided assistance in developing a bespoke final design.
I asked if I could also incorporate some glass into the finished product. They said that this was something they hadn’t done before but were very willing to make provision for the glass.I continued to get updates on the progress of manufacture and was invited to see the gate as it was taking shape. The Fabricators were there, proud of their work and rightly should have been. The gate was looking brilliant.
Following delivery I fixed the glass roundels to the gate and everyone who visits our home makes comment on it unique design.
If you are looking for something a bit different and well manufactured then this is the company to work with

From start to finish the guys at Gates and Railings direct were so experienced knowledgeable friendly and helpful. The railings arrived last Thursday and I had installed them by yesterday Tuesday. We are more than pleased with the result and would recommend these guys 100% to anybody.

Fantastic service from GRD, my made-to-measure railings arrived exactly on-time despite a long distance delivery to the Scottish Highlands, packaging was great, the accuracy and quality of the product was really excellent. All the staff I dealt with on the costing, design and shipping were knowledgeable and helpful. GRD were also very competitive on price and as a result I would thoroughly recommend the company for any similar work.

Gates Railings Direct made a bespoke latch post for me to match a gate that I purchased from them around 10 years ago (having recently changed the boundary fence). I sent them photos, and they designed the latch post to fit. They were brilliant from start to finish, and were good value too. Fantastic service.
