Very pleased with my refurbished Dell laptop from Gadget Centre. It's like new and very fast. Only minus was it did not have a built-in DVDdrive, which was no biggy as i bought an external drive fron a well known Chinese company for £12. The pre-installed free Opensource(?) Libre Office suite was an unexpected bonus, enabling me to edit all my MS Office files. Thank you guys!

I love the fact that its so easy to specify exactly what you want with your laptop. For me a large HDD memory and RAM were what was important and its great to be able to pick your spec and not be forced to pay more for things you don’t need like graphics cards. Amazing laptop, as good as new for a fraction of the cost of a new pre-built one. Quick delivery & exactly what I requested. Perfect

I was a little bit concerned about the randomness of which brand of machine you were sent, but the price for my refurbished - Dell Latitude, as it happens - laptop was too good to resist. I did have 2 requests. The first one, a preference for grey or silver didn't happen but I'm delighted with the black textured vinyl wrap that's been applied to the top outside of the case and the inner surface around the keyboard. The laser-cut Dell logo looks very professional. My second wish, for a bigger screen was granted. A whopping 15.5 inches makes all the difference to me when working on graphics and video editing. The machine also effortlessly supports an external 4K 17 inch monitor. I think I waited 3-4 days for it to come but I could not be happier.

The ordering process was easy, I selected the options that I required and within a couple of weeks I received my laptop, exactly as promised. I took out a warranty at the time of purchase and I really doubt if I will ever use any other company when I want to purchase my next laptop

Great service, everything works and much cheaper than a new laptop.. feels good to recycle, no drawbacks as far as I can see!

Very happy with my laptop. Cheaper than a new one, and it really is as good as new - immaculate condition. It arrived quickly too, just a few days after I ordered it.

Fantastic company. Communicates well. Genuinely my hesitation to order at first was the feeling that what I was asking getting the price they quoted was "too good to be true". Laptop is Fantastic. Packaged in a way where you/courier would be having to actively try destroy it to cause damage. Warranty is both cheap and long. Also love the full customer choice.

Only minor grievance is that you don't seem to get a "no thanks" option for keyboard backlight. You can "require it" or "doesn't matter" - which still might come with. I don't mind but I know a lot of people who don't actually like keyboard backlighting and would prefer it to be a "yes/don't care either way/no" option

Laptop as requested and works very well. Only drawback is that in appearance it is obviously second hand. Seems to gave been spray painted with a crackle type finish (I did email the gadget shop regarding this and was told it was a film wrap similar to the original finish, having seen an original model I can assure you it's not.)

I like the process for selecting the required specification of the laptop, and that you can see how much each option is affecting the total cost. Once committed, there is an email confirming your purchase, but then it goes a bit quiet until the laptop is shipped; around 10 working days, in my case. No worries though, I’m very happy with the performance of my new (to me) reconditioned Lenovo Thinkpad. It’s waaaay faster than my old steam-driven laptop. And it looks like a new laptop. Very happy!

While this company gave excellent help with buying a laptop from them, as soon as I had a problem the customer service went down the drain. Only very basic help was offered and warranty was ignored. They refuse any contact other than email making it difficult to obtain answers but were happy to ask for more money, for what should have been clearly covered under warranty. When advise sort from another company it was suggested a very poor install in the original refurbishment.

Got my super laptop today. Everything was perfect and in an amazing like new condition. I can honestly say that "GadgetsCentre" are 100% honest and reliable and would highly recommend them.

This is the 2nd laptop I have purchased and it didnt disappoint, very happy with the service

This rating would have been a 5 BUT... I have a problem with my laptop which I have been told by The Gadget Centre will be fixed or the machine replaced. However they are now ghosting me. The laptop is high spec and used for business, all day every day. I cannot work properly until the issue is resolved. Very poor customer service

I have a great laptop now.... there was a small problem that could not be fixed remotely but the return was free of charge and the machine got back to me today working properly and amazing me with its speed and build.

The value of this laptop is far beyond its cost.

The company was very helpful and my thanks to Dylan for his efforts and speedy responses.

I can not recommend the company and its products too highly.

The price was great for a "built to my spec" laptop. The process was really easy. The delivery was fast - less than 10 days but was happy to wait as other reviews mention.
The item was great - looked as new. Packaged brilliantly. Only slight negative was that when designing the item, you get options for memory / storage RAM etc but not the graphics card. What you do choose is usage - ie design - gaming - general - CAD etc. I selected Design - CAD so expected a mid to high spec graphics card but it only came with the standard type. Having said that, it's fine - does what I want & if necessary I could buy an external graphics card. Also the price includes VAT & a 1, 2 or 3 year warrantee which is brilliant. I ended up paying significantly less for a reconditioned spec built Laptop with backup & warantee for less than unknown similar second hand items off Ebay etc. So 5 star.

Technically this should be a 5 star review, as the service was very good and very quick with clear optujns for me to change my delivery slot to a suitable time for myself. The laptip arruved well packaged and protected, runs really well with a comprehensive list of checks and timings. These gents live up to their reputation. My only niggle is that once the order is placed , there isn't a confirmation email, thjs leaves you wondering if it's all a very good scam.

Communication prior to delivery (where I changed the spec of the laptop a little) was efficient and well handled. The delivery time was also quicker than I anticipated. The machine itself was very well packaged and works above my expectations in both speed and functionality, and the fact that is was an upgrade based on a Dell Latitude 7400 means that it is based on a proven and reliabe business-focussed machine. Last, and by no meanse least, it cost less than half the price of a new one with a similar configuration. All in all, well happy!

I ordered on Thursday and it arrived in Tuesday which I was well impressed with. It looks brand new and is so fast. Great service and excellent price as well as a 3 year warranty! I will highly recommend!

I ordered a laptop from GC a few years back - it was the perfect laptop and I figured I'd try them again. I picked the same options as before and got this laptop that isn't the full form factor and has no dedicated graphics card as the previous one did, an an 'i7' processor that is bottom of the mark. This machine barely runs medium sized excel sheets and takes 15 seconds to boot.

The worst part is when I contacted support about trading it in and my concerns, I got a multi-page meandering response about how I should be grateful for a 'competitive' laptop that is 'good value'.

The keyboard isn't even printed on correctly.

I don't know why Gadget Centre are like this now. They never used to be - but it seems due to the AI squeeze they're massively downscaling on hardware and trying to save face by gaslighting me into thinking this is normal.

This company has gone downhill, better laptops exist for just a handful of £s more. Avoid.
