I had a really great experience and I would highly recommend. In September of Year 13, I was preparing to retake my GCSE Maths exam in November, and within a short space of time I was able to improve and achieve a Grade 7. This made a huge difference for my university application. The support and guidance I received were clear, focused, and incredibly effective-especially for anyone needing quick progress in a limited timeframe.

My daughter attends a private school that offers 'clinics' for the students to catch up on the subjects they are having difficulties. Unfortunately, those clinics are not relevant in the sense that they do not always match the topics needed to each student. Furthermore, when you are at school from 8:30am until 4:30 pm, and you cannot stand it, staying 1 extra hour can be more of a hindrance than a benefit. Therefore, I enrolled my daughter with GCSE'S Maths Accelerator, which my daughter found online, when I put her in charge of looking for a tutor that she thought offered to cover the topics she needed. We attended, along with other parents, the introductory meeting with Michael where he told us everything about Maths Accelerator, their ethos, methodology etc. We had questions and answers. Inicially, I found it expensive but putting all the lessons and costs on paper, it was cheaper than what we pay for the private school fees (as per lesson). My daughter started her lessons with Michael on the second week of January 2026, with a sad grade 5 in Maths, which was a struggle for her to achieve. She is in Year11 and needs grade 8 in maths in order to be considered at Oxford University for the cursor she wants to sit there. She also needs at least a 7 in biology, to keep a good academic profile. She is 9 in all other subjects (she does not do physics and chemistry - only biology - it is a request we fought for her not to have because it was not helping her psicologically. Besides, she will not need them for what she wants to do in life at uni. As for needing them in life, if she ever thinks she really needs them, she can study them on her own terms (I do believe a mammoth unnecessary academic load is imposed and demanded for children nowadays, and most of it takes the youngster's joy away in life. My child's mental health is more important that keeping the 'must learn subjects' paradigm.) She had no confidence at all with her math skills. It was really dragging her down to depression and anxiety. Since January, with GCSE'S Math Accelerator 's lessons, we can see her growing - in confidence, especially with Maths. She has had 2 mock exames since and the last one was 2 weeks ago. We received her latest grade card on the 25th of March and we are delighted, as she is over the moon, with her results: 7 in both maths and biology. She is constantly taking the past exam papers at home, and since the last mock tests, she is consistently getting 8s in maths. Her confidence has risen from 2 to 8, if I measure it as GCSE'S marks. Her first maths GCSE'S exam will be in 6 weeks. By then, she believes she has a great chance to achieve 9 in Maths and Biology. When that week comes, i can say her confidence will also be grade 9! She is delighted and we, her parents, are delighted. We are very grateful we found GCSE'S Math Accelerator and we are grateful that Michael and his team are so calm, so patient and approachable/friendly. Michael's methods and approach work beautifully for my daughter and I hope it will work for hundreds more children. But it is worth saying that my daughter saw the need herself to have extra tuition. She understood she needed help, because she has a target which she set to herself and she wants to achieve it. Sometimes, school environment can be a nightmare to some children, therefore a barrier at times (as it has been to my daughter in the past 2 years) and their psyche gets suffocated by the amount of adult authorities - pressuring them to do well - and peer pressure in their Monday to Friday school hours. So, I see private tutors, teaching our children from the place where they - the children- feel safe and mentally rested, as greatly beneficial. I am sure my daughter feels now that entering the university of her choice is a great possibility. For that, we thank Michael and his team at GCSE'S Math Accelerator. It has been one of our best investments so far, for my daughter' future, confidence and piece of mind. I wish we had found GCSE'S Math Accelerator in year 7. Thank you, Michael.

My daughter joined the program only in January 2026 and already she has progressed really well in this short time. She has started to achieve better grades in school for Maths and her science subjects, GCSE’s in May this year. Her confidence has increased and she highly speaks about her tutors on the program, looks forward to her lessons and homework. My only regret not knowing about this program earlier. She has been with another tutor for over year and a half never seen such improvements. I have tried different places but nothing like Michael’s program. I highly recommend other parents whose kids are struggling with these subjects to take advantage and see this program as a good investment for your child. I will definitely enroll my second child who is 9 at the moment on time, to take full advantage. Customer service top notch, which is rare nowadays. I was hesitating to join at the start thinking it’s just another tutor with high promises but I have been blown away with how well it’s going. I don’t normally write reviews but I hope I can help other children and parents to make the right decision because I know how important this is for me and my daughter. I am very happy and satisfied with the service provided. The first three months was intensive, with three lessons weekly ( that's to improve the child's grade quickly), after the three months, monthly lessons are then provided until the end of the school year. A child can also ask and upload questions (this can be from school homework, or anywhere else, etc) they don't understand and it'd be answered on their weekly Q&A sessions.
My son started at grade 7 in maths in Oct 2025 and by Dec 2025, he was a few marks away from grade 9. As of March 2026, after his mock exam in school, he has been able to achieve a grade 9. He's also enrolled on their science lessons too and his grade has improved.
Overall, a very good service and good communication too.

My daughter, who is currently in Year 10, started GCSE Maths tuition with Michael at GCSE Accelerator in January after feeling that working through CGP books alone wasn’t helping her progress quickly enough. The decision to start lessons was entirely her own — and just two months in, the difference has been remarkable.

Her confidence in answering maths questions, both in online lessons and in written work, has grown noticeably. With her Year 10 exams taking place straight after the Easter holidays, I’m already feeling hopeful that her working level (currently a grade 6) will rise as a result of the support she’s receiving.
Michael is a highly engaging tutor whose passion for maths truly shines through. His enthusiasm captures students’ attention and helps them stay motivated, which is something my daughter has really responded to. As a parent, I also appreciate the transparency — lessons are held online at convenient times, in the comfort of your own home, so you can be within earshot and see how your child is getting on.
The modules offered for Year 10 are structured extremely well: organised, methodical, and clearly designed to strengthen core understanding. I firmly believe this approach will give my daughter the solid foundations she needs going into Year 11, with the aim of achieving a grade 8 or 9.

I highly recommend that other parents consider starting Year 10 maths tuition with Michael earlier rather than later — I only wish we had known about GCSE Accelerator back in September!

My child is in year 10, since starting maths tutoring with Michael, her confidence in maths has improved. He explains things clearly to her. She looks forward to the lessons , which is important and She’s doing well in school now.

I stumbled across GCSE maths accelerator on Instagram and I thought to give it a try.
Spoke to my daughter who is in Year 10 and she was happy to try it as well.
She loves the teaching style, find Michael not just knowledgeable but is able to pass on the knowledge very easily and carry everyone along.
Her confidence and approach in tackling maths problems have gotten so much better and her teachers at school have brilliant and glowing reviews for her.
This was definitely a great decision for my daughter and I would absolutely encourage everyone to be consider this.
She can also re-watch the videos of she misses a class, there’s a question and answer session for difficult topics the students encounter, knowledge is checked with every topic. The course has been organised in a structure I can only describe as top notch.

We’ve had a really positive experience with Michael, the maths tutor from GCSE Maths Accelerator. My son Linus is currently in Year 10 and, before starting the programme, he had been placed in the Foundation tier and was in the bottom set for maths at school. He often lacked confidence and didn’t show much interest in the subject.

After just a few months of working with Michael, the difference has been remarkable. Linus has now moved up a set at school and, more importantly, his confidence and interest in maths have improved significantly. My daughter completed the online GCSE accelerator course with Michael. It has been brilliant. Working with Michael’s program GCSE Accelerator has been very beneficial, my daughter’s Maths grades increased by 2 during Michael’s program and we only joined a few months before the GCSE exams! My son joined Michael’s tutoring lessons only a couple of months away from GCSE's exams. Therefore, Michael didn't have much time to prepare him however within that short space of time Michael covered a lot of key topics. My son tells me Michael’s lessons were always carefully planned and well structured. Michael had a professional yet friendly manner of ensuring my son remained engaged & motivated.
For example, Michael challenged my son every lesson and gave helpful examples and exams techniques.
My son was working at a grade 7-8 prior to joining Michael’s lessons but within 3 months, my son confidently achieved a grade 9 in math & further maths . Very impressive.

I was really stressed about my son's GCSEs, he dropped down a set in Maths during year 11 and his confidence was dropping, he started to hate Maths, and we were constantly clashing at home. These days, one has to be very careful with what you see on online. So, I was sceptical and very careful when I was looking for how to assist my daughter to boost her skills in maths and prepare her for GCSE. Naomi was getting 5 and a predicted 6 in maths.
