First time pass!
Passed my car test first time! My instructor Jonny was amazing and so helpful and supportive! The best automatic instructor that I have found! Would 100% recommend to anyone doing automatic!

Over the moon to have passed first time!! Amanda has been extremely patient with me and I could not have done it without her. I feel so looked after and thankful to say that I had her as a driving instructor. Thank you so much!!

I am over the moon and still trying to understand that I actually passed my driving test the first time!!! After 3 and a half years of many, many hours taking lessons and trying to build my confidence... and trying different instructors, I got Doug's contact through a work colleague. He really made everything look easier and help me believe that I could do it! Every lesson was enjoyable and rich in new, helpful tips and advise. I can't recommend Doug enough! He is relaxed, trusting, polite, fun and very generous with his time and knowledge!

I previously had a bad experience with another instructor, in a manual car, at a different school, so decided to go with automatic this time round and so glad I got Doug to help me with it!

His instructions were always very clear, his patience unending and I always felt comfortable behind the wheel.
His confidence in me really helped me fall in love with driving and after starting lessons in early September 2024, I get to say I'm a pink license holder!

I genuinely think Doug is the main reason I passed with only 1 fault! He took the time to show me all the possible test routes in our area, gave instructions the way an examiner would and prepared me for how the day was going to go. He'd also share any new things he'd learn from training courses of his own. This is also something I was impressed by - instructors at Geoff Capes driving school never stop learning and bettering themselves for their students.

If you're feeling nervous and unsure of your abilities, I absolutely recommend you book a driving lesson with Geoff Capes driving school.

Passed first time with Doug yesterday, had a great experience every lesson and he taught me so much! Would recommend him to everyone, very patient and understanding and just a great person to talk to in general.
Usually I am a very nervous person while driving and I often doubted myself, but he really helped me to overcome this and pass my test. I felt confident going into it and I just couldn’t have asked for anything more. Always so encouraging and I will really miss my lessons every week.

I have just passed my driving test, first time, with Doug as my Driving Instructor!

I began my lessons in August 24' after having a previously negative driving experience from years ago, and this made me so nervous to begin my driving lessons. However, from my first lesson, Doug instantly made me feel so much more calm and confident in driving.

Doug is such a friendly and great instructor, making me feel completely at ease. He made sure to go over each lesson and skill properly to prepare me for my driving test.

It has been so wonderful to have my driving lessons with Doug, and I'll really miss them. I would honestly recommend Doug to everyone, and I couldn't have passed without him! From booking in over the phone with Geoff Capes Driving School to my first lesson, and now to passing, I couldn't recommend the whole team more!

I had driving lessons with Simon, and then Doug. Both instructors were very patient and nice, and they explained things clearly.

Doug also arranged for another instructor to do a mock test with me, and this helped with my nerves when I did the real test.

Started my journey in May 2024 with no knowledge and not experience, from the first lesson I was made to feel comfortable not only to learn and gain the skills and knowledge but also having a good relationship with my instructor Doug.

Doug is a great instructor, listener and friend. I could not have wished for anyone better to start me on this journey.

I was supported from day one and never felt pressured, Doug was great at understanding and helping and I would and have recommended him 100 times over.

You’ll feel bitter sweet at the end with passing but then you’ll definitely miss the bond and relationship built during the lessons.

I am very grateful for Doug for changing my life.

Started my driving journey with Simon forest and ended with Douglas Walsh both of which were very easy to get along with and very informative and very patient, I found them both approachable about both driving and at times even personal issues. They made my lessons enjoyable and something I looked forward to, I'd highly recommend both the school itself and both instructors to anyone moving forward, thanks to Geoff capes and his brilliant instructors for getting me through it!!!

From the first time I got in contact with the driving school to enquire about lessons it was an incredibly smooth experience. They immediately got me booked in with Doug a week later, no hassle whatsoever. They also gave me free access to a theory test app to help me pass it with ease.

Doug was an incredible teacher, his instructions were always clear, he was patient and he made sure I understood the reason behind doing certain things rather than just blindly following his advice.

And on top of all that he's just a great bloke so the lessons were never a chore in the slightest!

I had previously attempted the driving test 18 years ago and failed, but thanks to Doug's guidance I was able to pass it straight away this time with only 2 faults.

I would recommend Doug as a teacher and Geoff Capes as a driving school to anyone and everyone.

My experience with Geoff Capes driving school was really positive. Doug is a great and knowledgeable driving instructor. From day one he listened to my knowledge of driving and built on that. He gave me confidence and explained things in a really clear way l. His instructions where always very clear when directing me on the road and and feedback was always done in a positive manner. He was also really easy to chat too and I got on with him really well. Absolutely would recommend using Geoff Capes driving scool

Amanda my driving instructor was amazing! She was so patient with me and made me feel really comfortable. Although she still pushed me to do well and it paid off well passing first time.

My instructor, Doug, really helped me to pass my test as he was extremely patient with me and helped me every week with what I needed to pass. He made sure that we was on the same page about what we was doing and what we have left to focus on. I passed my test first time and don’t think I would’ve passed if it wasn’t for my choice in instructor, so I heavily recommend.

I just passed my test first time after learning with Geoff Capes for the past 5 months, and I cannot recommend this driving school highly enough. My experience with the company from the first phonecall to the drive home from the test centre has been outstanding. My driving instructor Azhar was amazing, always patient, always able to explain things in an easy to understand way, and helped me to progress my driving skills at a pace that I was comfortable with.

Geoff is by far the best instructor! He has made me feel at ease while doing my lessons and has helped my confidence increase so much while driving. He takes the time to actually get to know you which makes the lesson feel much more relaxed. Thank you Geoff!
