I’ve been registered since 2023, BUT I’ve never had the opportunity to work on any tasks. They actively post job listings looking for translators with my language pairs, yet they have never reached out to me. It seems that many translators registered on their platform are experiencing the same issue. Very unprofessional.
My profile is up to date, and I check it regularly, but I’ve still been overlooked despite having over 11 years of experience.

I have been registered on…
I have been registered on GetTranslation for almost a year, yet I have never received any instructions, project invitations, or any form of communication from them. This is especially confusing because I regularly see GetTranslation advertising for translators in my exact language pair.
My profile is complete and up to date, and I actively monitor it whenever I see their job posts on other platforms. Despite this, there has been complete silence. I also contacted their support team by email, but received no response.
If I were being contacted and rejected because of unsatisfactory work, that would be understandable. But being ignored entirely while they continue to advertise for translators in my language pair is frustrating and unprofessional. The platform gives no clear way to proceed or engage, which makes it feel unreliable for freelancers.

I keep seeing advertising by this…
I keep seeing advertising by this company in ProZ regularly, probably once a month or something like that, asking for translators. I did register with them months ago, but never received a reply nor instruction to proceed with additional steps. So, if they do not reply to applications, if many people have registered with this company but never have received any work, what are they trying to do with this ads? Are they just trying to get personal data that later can be exchanged or sold for money to other companies?

Rate: is your rate competitive compared to what other translators are offering in your language pair(s)? Check out the average rate to become familiar with the level of competitiveness for your language combinations. When your workflow is slow, you can change your rate parameters and make yourself extra competitive to increase your workload. Same goes for busy periods, during which you can increase your rate and be more selective when accepting projects.
