I found my light and joy through this site, Koda. Most marketplace sites you go on have scammers, that’s the unfortunate truth, but they are far from masterminds. It really only takes common sense to... Toon meer

Beware SCAM
I was asked to send money to the vet for records and papers in the amount of 100 using paypal, when i tried doing this paypal denied the transaction. They kept sending me different emails to try which made me question this. Thank god for paypal looking out for their customers. My mom taught me if its too good to be true...They were offering me a shitz shu at 4 months for 199 when others are charging way more than that. Yes I felt stupid for falling for this. Also for others information I was told by my significant other no vet would use gmail or hotmail addresses. Hope this helps.
no service
No one will assist me after the adoption there is false advertising re: free vet exam and consult as the date is too short given or they no nothing about it and Get your pet has your money and will no respond to emails and has no phone number it is a take your money and run scam! below reviews also give reason not to use this web site
BEWARE! DO NOT SEND MONEY OUTSIDE THE WEBSITE!
BEWARE! SCAM!
I saw a 4 month old maltese puppy named Zico that I was interested in but seemed too good to be true. A couple of red flags off the bat - the grammar on the post was really bad, little information on it and the post claimed it was a “he” but the puppy on the pictures was wearing dresses. All of these combined tipped me off that it was most likely a scam but decided to see how far they would go. The communication was very minimal, with hardly any full sentences and very direct. “Timothy” suggested he drop off the puppy wherever I was, which in my opinion, no one ever suggests that, usually there’s more back and forth when deciding what the best place to meet will be for both parties. I set up a meet and greet and right after he accepted, he sent a long message (with better grammar and actual full sentences, which indicated the scammers had already worked on this and have it handy) that said I had to send a payment of $100 to get the paperwork started. Actual wording from his message -
“He will be charging $100 to get all paperwork needed for the adoption done
Let me know what form of payment works for you so it will be requested. Via Zelle or Cashapp so we can get it done.”
I pointed out what the website says, that no payment should be made to the guardian under no circumstances and he replied that he thought that I wanted to skip the website process.
Please beware and do not send any money to the guardian via cash app, zelle, venmo or any of those methods! Everything should be done through the website! I did see a couple of posts on there that look legit. Stay vigilant and look for red flags!

SCAM- BEWARE
I am terribly disappointed. I found a chihuahua named Cue that I was going to adopt today from a guy named Howard. Definitely a SCAM! He demanded $100 upfront for paperwork through venmo, PayPal, or Zelle. I told him the website states no payment to guardian, especially before meeting. He kept insisting he needed it. I told him forget it. I'm not sure the dog even exists.
Horrible
Horrible! Luckily I was smart enough. Not to get scammed. Fe homer started asking for money to cover vet bills. So disappointed as was my son. I don’t know how this place is still up and running. Stay away!
DO NOT SEND PAYMENT BEFORE MEETING
We found the perfect kitty to adopt. The owner required us to send him $100 via Cash App or Venmo so he could "process the paperwork". Told him we would make all payments at the meet-up. He was a no-show. Contacted Get Your Pet to report the owner as a scam. So glad we did not send payment before the meeting.
-10 rating
-10 rating. This site is letting brokers selling puppy mill puppies on the page. If you see a purebred puppy, golden retriever, french bulldog, etc. you can be guaranteed it is coming from a puppy mill. Buyer beware, as these dogs usually have medical problems and they can't be sold. 'James' even admitted this is what he was doing.
Scam! Beware!
Scam!! Same situation as the other reviews. Do not trust “Brian” for the poodle “Tom”, not sure if they are all a scam or not, but hard to believe this website still exists will all these complaints! They requested money and my personal info! FAKE!!! Please stay away! Messaged the company twice, no response. Messaged the fake seller and told him I knew he was a scam and he was caught, I also messaged Petfinder to let them know they should remove them their site as well!
Scam
Scam! I fell in the trap of sending money to the supposed guardian Clinton, who continued asking for more money for documents for a chihuahua named Finn. Hope he gets karma back. Thieves.
SCAM!!!!!!!!!!
SCAM!!!
The website states no fees until AFTER you take possession of your pet. I was repeatedly asked to send $99 for a "paperwork fee" BEFORE even seeing the dog. I asked to speak with someone who could help.....crickets. Also No number to call
I was willing to pay cash for the adoption fee when seeing the dog...NOT before!!! SCAM!!!!!!!
Great experience
I had a great experience using getyourpet.com. It's a bit scary having to give up your dog for adoption because you don't know what people have in mind for your beloved dog. This site allowed me to talk with potential adopters. Then when I felt good about one of them, we set up a meet-up through the site. All went well and I still get updates on my dog through the site from his new owner. The site allows you to send messages only to the adopter once the adoption is official.

I had read a lot of bad reviews about it but mine is a perfect 1 the only problem here is the communication between the owners & the adopter . my previous experience. I have met with a couple owner, but it didn’t fall through until my husky which is is 20 am min away from me ….. we agree on the terms, and then Walla …..
They suck!!
They suck!!! It’s a scam!!! Just like the other people are saying there are scammers we are out 100 dollars this is not a good website and should be shut down!!! Sane thing happened to me gave money set date for meet no show!!!! They scammed !! They knocked this John off the site then he was back on!!!! Shut this company down they are awful!!!!!!
Be Patient and Follow Up after - don't pay owner, pay the website!
Very difficult platform within which to actually communicate with the pet's 'guardian'. After making an appointment with the pet's owner and her bailing on me at the last minute after driving a long way out of my way - she rescheduled to meet me the next day only later. I was very nervous and refused to get my hopes up but after all the drama we met, she surrendered her adorable male cat to me and now I happily have a new furbaby. I did go out to the site immediately after and "followed up" and paid the $49 adoption fee for a cat. I've since had him neutered and a few vaccines and he's finally settling down (after a week of "marking" and yeowling the most horrific sounding noises ever. He needed his nuts cut!

I am a foster who wanted to help find my foster dog her forever home. However, this site is very unresponsive and their site doesn't work as promised. This site seems to be a place for scammers and has been a huge time waster. I'm going back to Adopt-A-Pet where my girl will at least have a real chance to meet her forever family.
I had the best adoption experience at…
I had the best adoption experience at getyourpet. I have never been so happy to find my beautiful 3yr old Chihuahua. Very sweet and smart. She is well behaved and just a joy to have in my home. As for the scammers be careful they are out there but getyourpet recognized them and let’s you know and if you do not get replies it most likely can be a scammer. I had a good experience with the family I adopted my girl from. It’s been 3 months since I adopted her and I couldn’t be happier!!!
Be Careful
I asked about a young female dog. My husband and I are devastated after losing our 5 yr old maltese to liver failure. Someone responded to me on this site about a dog immediately requesting a meet up. I made the date and with this so called "David" asked me to venmo cash. I asked too many questions and he dropped the meeting. I'm trying to report this and the site isn't responding. Be very careful.
Scam run away!!!
Get your pet scam
We tried to adopt a poodle, and the guy Gerald kept stating he needs 100 dollars then proceeded to say he needed an additional 200 for the breeder for the paperwork..such scammere!
