Purchased car they couldn't be nice enough, following day, fault, returned car as within 30 days, for 3 weeks false promises, different stories, ignored phone, had to ring of mothers phone, made it so difficult to get a refund as per our legal rights, had to do a 200 mile round trip and get police involved then finally got money back, would never recommend this garage to anyone, no understanding of commitment, customer service and no intention to simply do the right thing, cars can get a fault at any time, its how the garage reacts to it that matters and in this case, shockingly disgusting

Prior to purchasing we discovered issues, it was agreed that they would contribute to the costs of rectifying said issue, with that agreement we were happy to purchase. Since then we've been in touch several times and met with "I'll check with the manager" "passing it to the customer service team, we'll be in touch"....now they're outright ignoring us. This has been since September 2024 to now (March 2025).
We've been to the ombudsman but they cannot support as this company is not registered with them.
However we have received legal advice instead, thankfully.

I recently purchased my first car from ghost motors and I have to say, the experience was fantastic! From start to finish, the service provided was top-notch. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain all the features and benefits of the motor. They answered all my questions patiently, which made me feel confident in my purchase.

The delivery was prompt fully serviced and as described . I appreciated how they followed up after the purchase to ensure everything was working perfectly. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my decision to go with ghost motors. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality products and exceptional service!

AVOID - CON MEN.

They were so happy to take my money but won’t fix anything under the warranty. The exhaust fell off, the locks wouldn’t work and the battery was faulty. Every time something breaks they tell me it’s not covered under warranty after I’ve chased them for an answer for months. They just want your money. Do you remember mr. Wormwood from Matilda? - These guys are worse.

We bought a car 8 weeks ago and the car has broken down twice and needed to be removed to a garage, the second time it required significant work and the garage have advised the engine must have been badly damaged previously, probably in an accident. Ghost MOT;s it and claimed to have serviced it prior to purchase. Ali and Adam have ignored e mails, texts and calls, we have had to use different phones to get them to answer. I am on the verge of taking them to small claims court - don't go near them.

Great garage to deal with,we put a deposit on a fiat 500 over the phone and we were not disappointed when we seen the car they even changed the battery for a new one when we arrived as they thought the one in it wasn't great. The car was fully serviced and valeted Adam and the lads couldn't be more helpful. Adam filled our car and our stomachs and off we went no hassle at all. Adam even rang us the next day to make sure everything was OK, and did we get home OK as we had a long way to go (400 miles)
There is loads of cars to look at and very reasonable prices, we will definitely be back, tks again Adam for all your help.

Honestly please do not buy from this place, they sold my 16 year old son a car what had been involved in a crash with a dodgy mot done by them. I’ve had 4 different garages look at it before we start legal proceedings and they all said that not in a million years no garage on this earth would have passed this cars mot, one garage was even pulling bits of the other collision car out of the engine, the car was an absolute death trap. They get employees and friends to leave fake reviews to try out do the bad ones. There is a whole page on Facebook dedicated to this place with customers with the same stories as mine. Take a look on companies house at the directors!!!! This place needs shutting down before they actually kill someone!

I made a round-trip of 1100 miles with two ferry journeys to view a 2011 Saab 9.3 1.9 Tddi which Adam of Ghost Motors Ltd had described as "immaculate". The vehicle was indeed exactly as he had described, both the bodywork and underneath, far exceeding my expectations. Not only did Adam take my 2014 Skoda Octavia in part-exchange, but he also taxed the Saab and put a year's MOT on it for me. I had a fabulous run home to the Outer Hebrides in my "new" car and I am still pinching myself to have landed lucky. That is entirely down to Adam and his team at Ghost Motors and I consider myself to have been extremely fortunate to have been given a thoroughly professional, efficient and personable service. Adam even phoned me the day after my return to check if I had arrived safely. This company deserves to prosper.

I went to look at a car on 15/12/24, and agreed that I would pick the car up on the 18th, with all the issues I found being sorted. AND time to test drive it before signing anything. When I got there to collect, NOT ALL issues were sorted, the guy was extremely rude and virtually threw the keys at me, got me to sign the paperwork then drove off and left me there. Adam said that they would put some fuel in the, which they didn't. The issues with the car were electrical, cosmetic and also the BRAKES!! I drove to Scotland without realising the brakes were bad, I told them on 20/12/24 about them. They only got it boked in on 10/01/25!! I was driving a dangerous car. And even then, I had to pick it up from somewhere else, again with no fuel in, and there was when I dropped it off. It is a 90 minute round trip for me. Adam still kept on saying he couldn't get hold of his electrician, so he would book it in at a dealership for repair. And I have it in writing, he didn't. He got them to diagnoses then attempt to have it repaired himself. No doubt a cheaper option. Whilst they had the car, I was loaned another car. That had issues also. The drivers seat not secured in the runners, a warning light on the dash and an alarmingly noisy and blowing exhaust. I have since rejected the car and gone somewhere proper for a decent car. Much better customer relations. Ghost Motors are rude and all they want is your money. Stay well clear.
No I will not change my review … I have emails and texts to verify all I have spoken about. Plus this is the first time you have even given an indication of how long the things that needed fixing would be fixed. How can you justify selling a car where the brakes were not fit for purpose …. You were so quick to get me out of the way I didn’t even have the chance to test drive the car !

The HPI check on the vehicle my son was looking at was INCORRECTLY shown on the advert. There is outstanding finance and Third Party interest by a Finance Company (Oodle Car Finance). This has been confirmed directly with them and email confirmation has been received. DO NOT TRUST their HPI reports!
It is ILLEGAL to sell as car with outstanding finance.
Also, staff are rude when you point these things out, especially when you ask for your deposit back.
I ended up going back to the dealer to do this in person as they "forgot" to phone me.
Whilst there, I viewed the car I was due to pick up and there were still points that had not been addressed so it would not have been ready anyway....
There is a FaceBook page on this business highlighting terrible service and quality of cars, check it out and AVOID this business at all cost.

REPLY - you were rude and argumentative when I pointed this out. It wasn’t an hour either, if you spoke to each other, you would have had plenty of time, but even as at 11:40am on Monday 17th February 2025, Oodle Finance confirm that they still have a financial interest in this car, so it has still not been settled. It is now ILLEGAL for you to sell this car since you are fully aware of this interest.
Refund - not the next day as you “forgot” to phone me back, deposit only refunded when I made a special trip to your premises in person.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I recently bought an Audi from this company for my daughter the car is as new and everything thing from history / service / warranty all the paperwork spot on the vehicle is in excellent condition yes it was a bit expensive but it is what you pay for .
I will be recommending this company to all my family and friends.

I purchased a Ssangyong Tivoli from Ghost Motors a few months back. Very happy with the car. Very happy with the team. I needed a few bits of support recently and I am very pleased to say that the attitude of the team is solid, friendly and supportive even a few months after I completed the purchase.
No complaints apart form the fact that they are based near Bradford and I am based near High Wycombe so its not easy to see what else they have when I next need a new car. Good work and thank you all. 5 star attitude and a great car too.

I bought a car Skoda Citigo 2013 in June 2024 from this dealer. It broke after a month from the spring front wheel alignment, l called the insurance and they covered the repair however l had to wait about 20 days for the payment. The car has broke again and the insurance doesn’t want to cover this time as they excuse that it is wear and tear. I have explained them that l have just bought it in June and it has been twice broken. I called the dealer and they said that it is wear and tear. This is disgusting that l paid £4000 for a car that has been broken twice in a few months. The garage fee is £190 with labour. But the dealer does not want to take responsibility. I don’t understand how this people are selling damaged cars. And nobody can do something about it !! Who can help with this situation.

Bought my girlfriends first car from here supposedly a 1 previous owner 14 plate fiesta
1) Dodgy MOT applied on the same day as collection we had to wait an extra hour for
2) made us wait 2 extra days to collect as they wanted to fit a new turbo (which they said they fitted but lied) when I asked for proof they wrote “new turbo fitted” on an office post it note
3) they “serviced” the car well whoever did it must have as much awareness as Stevie wonder as they filled the coolant tank to the lid.
4) unless your Edward scissor hands good luck trying to open to petrol flap!
5) warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on

Left £99 deposit on a car for my daughter, she changed her mind the following morning (less than 1 day later) so I called immediately and cancelled and requested the deposit to be returned, called many times and given no response "boss isn't in, we'll send a request to accounts", tried email/text - just ignore you/no response, deposit not returned.

Bought a beautiful little car, great service from the staff helped me through every step

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! viewing and purchasing the car was all good, however after paying £2000 for a car 3 weeks later the car needed a new gearbox!! if I’d of carried on driving it the car would of blown up.. death trap!! the warranty is useless cost over £800 to get this repaired the warranty only agreed to pay half.. after paying £2000 I didn’t expect to have to pay another £400 three weeks later, tried complaining to ghost motors about the gearbox and how I was out of pocket.. zero replies ignorant!! all they care about it taking money from you.. I had to keep going down to ask they lie and tell you all different things and it’s some how my fault because I took it to the nearest garage to get fixed as I was without a car and the hourly labour price was £90 ghost motors argument was I should of took it somewhere cheaper!!! If they hadn’t of sold me a car what needed a new gearbox I wouldn’t have had to take it to any garage I don’t expect a brand new car with no issues when buying a used car but it was literally a death trap!! All they did was blame the warranty company.. after texting for over 2 months and going down multiple times all I got back was £120 which I had to practically beg for.. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!! they don’t reply to you and not bothered unless they are getting money from you!! AND TO TOP IT OFF THE WATERPUMP NEEDS REPLACING COSTING EVEN MORE MONEY!

Bought a Fiat 500 from Ghost motors in 2022. Before I even got it back to my house 50 miles away from the showroom the engine blew a gasket and I was left at the side of the road. I had the AA out and they told me the engine would need a full rebuild. Tried to ring the garage and no answer so I was there on the doorstep first thing the following morning, they agreed to collect the vehicle from my address the following day which did happen. Getting the refund was a bit harder. I think the fact that I was relentless in my phone calls to them and that I was becoming a pain to them I got my refund within a week.
If you get a car from here you need someone to check it first who has experience in cars as these vehicles seem to be bought straight from auction with very little checks and the MOT’s are questionable.

Bought a 2010 Golf GT TDI 2L from here and despite having to chase them up for the viewing and waiting for them to collect the car was overall a good experience, got to test drive the car before I bought and was super patient while I inspected it.

It did have a known fault that wasn't listed in the description but was easily able to point it out due to knowledge of car repairs and even lowered the price for me due to the issue.

Payment process was super fast and easy to do and drove it away same day! If you plan on buying a car from here take someone who knows about cars otherwise you'll be another bad review from someone who expected it to be perfect but overall great people and great company with reasonable prices.
