I reached out to GIK for a room design

I reached out to GIK for a room design. Unfortunately I received a generic response which did not take the room layout or the system into account whatsoever. I politely explained my disappointment by email and received no response. This is a company I was planning to place a 6 figure order with. Really disappointing customer service.

Very dissatisfied with the process of…

Getting the panels delivered to europa was a task i hopefully will not have to repeat again.

However now that it is finally here to product does excactly what it needs to. After installing the sound cleared up perfectly in my small room. You can hear small changes in the mix more acurately. So yes i do recommend these but know that it will take some time getting them delivered to your doorstep.

@GIK customer service is swift in getting back on emails even when things dont run as smooth.

Good morning Colin, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and I'm sorry to hear that there is a delay with your shipment!

To avoid any confusion, I can confirm that our products are all manufactured and shipped from within the EU, your shipment delay was due to a backlog with the courier and not due to the products having to be imported, etc.

I can see that the order was stuck at a depot in the Netherlands from 9-13th last week with no other information, however, the tracking now shows that the shipment should be delivered to you today.

Please do reach out to our customer service directly if you experience any issues, as we could have contacted GLS last week to find out what the delay was and identified the problem much earlier.

Outstanding Customer Service

I rarely write Trustpilot reviews, but the exceptional experience I had with GIK Acoustics deserves a mention. I recently ordered five FlexRange 242 panels - four wall-mounted via French Cleats and one for a ceiling cloud.

My order was placed late on a Thursday, but after re-checking my fabric samples over the weekend, I had a sudden change of heart. I decided to switch the four wall panels from Walton to Lomond. I submitted an inquiry via their website on Monday morning and followed up with a call, fully expecting it would be too late to change the order.

The support team was brilliant. Despite the order being staged for shipping, they urgently contacted the warehouse to intercept it. Within a few hours, Marlena from Customer Service confirmed the change had been made. Remarkably, the entire order arrived by Wednesday - just three working days after I hit "purchase." Even with my last-minute indecisiveness, every single panel arrived in the correct color.

The build quality is fantastic, and now that they are installed, they have made a world of difference to the acoustics of my home office and listening room. GIK Acoustics went above and beyond for me, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I’ll definitely be a returning customer!

Esperienza semplicemente eccezionale…

Esperienza semplicemente eccezionale con GIK Acoustics!

Fin dal primo contatto ho capito di avere a che fare con un’azienda super professionale, ma il vero valore aggiunto è stato Eugenio che mi ha seguito passo dopo passo durante tutto il processo di progettazione acustica.

Abbiamo scambiato parecchie email (davvero tante 😄) e in ogni singola risposta è stato:
✔️ Preciso
✔️ Disponibile
✔️ Attento a ogni dettaglio
✔️ Sempre pronto ad adattare il progetto alle mie esigenze reali.

Ha ascoltato tutte le mie richieste, mi ha chiarito ogni dubbio tecnico e ha trovato soluzioni personalizzate senza mai tirare via o fare le cose “standard”.

Si vede proprio che dietro c’è competenza vera e passione per quello che fanno.

Il supporto è stato di livello altissimo, rarissimo da trovare oggi: non ti senti mai un numero ma un cliente seguito davvero con cura.

Room Treatment Importance

I contacted GIK last year (2025) for some advice on my room and what they would recommend. I was put in touch with Lukas who spent time going through the details with me, I provided room drawings and measurements so we had a good place to start with.

Over the course of 6 months I introduced various treatment panels, initially first reflection points on walls, followed by ceiling panels and finally rear of the room.

Each update improved the room acoustics. Not only could I hear the difference I was able to measure the changes using REW.

Now my room is finally treated (to the extent I require) and I can honestly say it has been the largest (and most worthwhile) exercise I have taken with my system. The presentation has been transformed, soundstage is so much wider and deeper, bass is now controlled and so you can hear so much more details in the mid range and high frequencies.

GIK (Lucas and team) have been extremely helpful throughout the whole time, always available for questions and providing knowledgable advice and assistance. I would 100% recommend using them to assist with your room, it really does make a massive improvement!

PIB panels with broken plates

I’m sad that I got the gatsby plate on my two PIB’s and when they came some parts of the plate were broken, ruining all the aesthetics.

Overall the product is great like everyone says! Although in my opinion I would say that for a premium atleast the little details like the latches should be of premium quality as well, which I don’t think they are at all.

Best spent money in my four decades of building a perfect system

Relying on their promptly received expert advice (given without any jargon, in a most helpful and comprehensive manner to a layman like me), I refurbished my rather challenging listening room (a living room — I guess a common setup for most of us non-professionals) with GIK’s bass traps and absorption panels, and I have to say the results are nothing short of mesmerizing. Very impressive what a change these simple-looking things actually brought — truly transformative. I am, honestly speaking, quite flabbergasted, after about 40 years spent in pursuit of the proverbial audio nirvana. Now I find myself unable to do anything but sit and listen to my entire music collection all over again, all the time, one by one again as if for the first time, astonished by what I had not been able to hear in my more than familiar music before, redisdiscivering my music, its magic, and my love for it. The results are outright sublime, and, truth be told, also a bit scary in how much I had missed over the years — should really have done this overhaul a long time ago.

But better late than never, and for those absolutely captivating, thrilling, and endlessly fascinating current and future experiences I really need to thank you all at GIK from the bottom of my audio enthusiast's rapidly beating heart. Little did I know what to anticipate when beginning to give a more thought to room acoustics and ways to improve it. Really, it’s quite shocking what there was hidden in all those recordings all time.

The help I received in planning what to get and what not, and where to place the critical elements in view of my limited budget, was super valuable, whether via direct communication of using GIK’s easy-to-use planning tools and video instruction material as an aid. The advisors were honest, even urging me not to get what they thought would likely give relatively little for the extra money. True professionals and always pro customer, so rare these days.

The cost was modest, the quality is better than that of most manufacturers and focuses on where it matters; the panels, traps, and absorbers look great in the room and blend in nicely; the delivery to my doorstep was prompt and precise; the communication was always friendly, in my layman’s terms, and very concrete but always accompanied by an explanation that also made it all a useful acoustics and physics learning experience for me.

Best-spent money in my 40 years of building a system, and the best price/quality ratio I’ve seen during my decades of experimentation. Everything you guys at GIK say about these things is 100 percent true.

Servizio clienti scadente.

Ho contattato gik per una consulenza. Ho parlato con un certo Eugenio che mi ha richiesto diverse misure che prontamente ho dato, con anche una misurazione della stanza per semplificare il suo lavoro. Da quel momento non ho più ricevuto risposta e mi sono dovuto rivolgere ad altri produttori.
La mia esperienza è stata molto negativa e anche abbastanza fastidiosa.

Paid nearly 4 weeks ago, still no delivery timeframe

I ordered an acoustic panel from GIK Acoustics Europe on 11 December as a pre-Christmas treat for myself. Only after placing the order did I learn that the panels are made to order, with the confirmation email stating a typical dispatch time of 5–15 working days.

It’s now 6 January, and despite contacting them, they’re still unable to give any indication of when my order will be processed or shipped.

The lack of upfront transparency and the absence of clear or proactive communication around lead times has been disappointing. I was planning to purchase additional panels, but due to this experience, I may now need to look for an alternative supplier.

Our website states that our products are built to order and goods are normally shipped in 5 to 15 business days.

The 15 business days does not include evenings and weekends, and so including our closures for Christmas and New Year, your order is due to ship on or before Thursday 8th January, my apologies that this wasn't made clearer!

Our team is normally able to send orders sooner than the advertised 15 business days, however, during busy periods our production lead times can be longer.

Matériel non protégé dans le carton.

J'ai reçu ma commande de 2 Basstraps hier.

- Il n'y a aucune protection dans les cartons, les Basstraps sont juste emballés dans du plastique même pas du plastique bulles.
1 des cartons est abîmé dans un coin comme si le carton était tombé.
Je ne sais pas si la structure interne a bougé ou est endommagé avec le transport.
Il y a des étiquettes autocollantes jaunes sur les Basstraps j'en ai déduit qu'il s'agit du côté arrière mais
il n'y a aucune info à ce sujet.

+ Le suivi de la livraison a bien fonctionné et j'avais demandé que la livraison se fasse à l'étage ce qui a été fait.

Merci d'avoir pris le temps de laisser un avis sur notre site. Je suis désolé que vous ne soyez pas satisfait de notre service.

Nous avons testé nos méthodes d'expédition et avons constaté que l'ajout d'emballages supplémentaires rendait ce type de pièges à basses plus susceptibles d'être endommagés pendant le transport. Il n'y a donc aucun avantage à ajouter des matériaux de protection à l'intérieur du carton.

Ces pièges à basses ne subissent pas de dommages internes, donc tout dommage aux panneaux serait visible à l'ouverture des boîtes.

Notre équipe d'emballage joint à chaque envoi un livret d'instructions de montage (il est peut-être tombé à l'intérieur d'une de vos boîtes) qui explique que les autocollants jaunes indiquent la position des fentes de montage en forme de trou de serrure à l'arrière du panneau.

Je suis très heureuse d'apprendre que votre livraison s'est bien déroulée.

I bought a few panels from them a long time ago. Recently they have started bombarding me with spam and unsubscribing doesn't stop them. Sounds like they are pretty desperate. I will leave one of these reviews every time they send me an unsolicited email.

They enter random delivery addresses…

They enter random delivery addresses for shipments—missing street, number, and even the recipient’s name. The moment I got the carrier notification, I emailed them immediately to make sure this was corrected as soon as possible. They replied claiming it was fixed, but it wasn’t. The carrier still had the wrong address. I called them, and their response was, “we don’t have time to fix this now.”

This level of incompetence from their shipping team is unacceptable, especially for a first-time customer. I’m honestly shocked that I ended up having to do their job for them. Extremely disappointing.
