Girard Perregaux our nightmare experience
Me and my brother are watch collectors.We purchased our first Girard Perregaux and it was a nightmare to us due to the following reasons
1) The watch world timer chronograph needed service as it was stop working within few hours and when you move your hand or just give it full wind it works again for few hours even on the watch winder same problem so we gave the watch to the AD of Girard Perregaux in Dubai.They told me that the watch has to go to Switzerland for complete service which we agreed and to our great surprise after the watch returned and we took our watch by paying them full for the service.The same day when we wore our watch it was the same issue which is that the watch will work for one or two hours than stop working.
We gave it back to AD and this time they opened the case at their workshop and told us one of its parts needs replacement so they again send it back to Switzerland for repair under warranty which is only for one year.
The watch was with Girard Perregaux Switzerland for more than 6 months and no answer from them.
We have tried to contact Girard Perregaux directly but no answer also we tried to contact AD of Girard Perregaux in Dubai no answer either.The AD never pick up the telephone also the no answer through email.
Now last week they have contacted me that your watch is ready at AD in Dubai.As they give one year service warranty so more than 7 months have passed as the watch was sitting at Girard Perregaux so I lost 7 months of service warranty for which AD in Dubai and Girard Perregaux refused to makeup the lost service warranty.
I’m posting this on Trustpilot just to inform people that be careful with Girard Perregaux and it’s AD in Dubai
For ourself this was our last and the first Girard Perregaux we will never buy this brand who treats their customers like a piece of garbage
