Absolutely blown away by the exceptional service from this team! 🙏 My laptop was in for service just in its warranty time frame , The speed as they did value the nature of my job , I could not be without one, but the charger was out of warranty and I wasn't expecting much, but they went above and beyond. Not only did they fix the issue, but they also upgraded me - talk about exceeding expectations!
Big shoutout to Manager Euli, who was a delight to deal with and waived the courier fee. And Messilja, the technician/assistant may you never change, was calm, professional, and made me feel heard. Top-notch service all around!
Already planning my next purchase and will definitely be referring friends. Kudos to Esther for the referral - you guys are lucky to have her!

Defective refurbished unit — warranty claim rejected unfairly.
I purchased a refurbished Dell OptiPlex 3240 All-in-One from Go Gadgets in April 2025 for R3,250. From day one the unit was unusably slow — after approximately 2 weeks taking over 3 minutes to load basic web applications with the hard drive barely 15% full. Google mail a prime example.
The backlight subsequently failed completely, rendering the screen non-functional.
When I contacted Go Gadgets, they rejected my warranty claim citing third-party involvement — despite the fact that the original performance fault existed from the date of delivery, weeks before any repair was attempted. The backlight failure is entirely unrelated to any repair work.
Go Gadgets offered to replace the screen for R1,000 plus shipping costs. I declined, as this does not address the original defect and places the financial burden on the consumer for a fault that existed at the time of sale.
I have since lodged formal complaints with the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) and the National Consumer Commission (NCC) in terms of the Consumer Protection Act.
I would caution anyone purchasing refurbished equipment from Go Gadgets to carefully document the unit’s condition and performance from the moment of receipt.

We are sorry to hear that you remain dissatisfied with your experience. At Go Gadgets, we take all customer concerns seriously and always aim to resolve issues fairly and in accordance with our warranty and returns policy.
To clarify the matter publicly, we were unfortunately never made aware of the performance concerns you mentioned prior to the device being taken to and opened by a third-party repair shop. Had these issues been reported to us directly at the time, we would have gladly investigated the matter, provided technical support, and where appropriate, arranged a return or concurrent replacement.
However, the device was opened and worked on by an unauthorised third party before any fault was reported to us. In addition, the original hard drive supplied with the unit had been replaced. Once a device has been tampered with, we can no longer verify the integrity of the original hardware configuration or determine what work was performed on the unit. For this reason, our warranty policy expressly states that customers must notify us immediately of any issues they are experiencing.
While you are of the opinion that the original performance concern and the current screen/backlight issue are unrelated, we are unfortunately unable to guarantee this or accept liability after third-party intervention has taken place. This is precisely why we require customers to contact us first before seeking outside repairs.
Despite this, and in an effort to assist, we still offered to replace the faulty screen at a substantially reduced fee of R1,000 plus shipping costs.
You are fully within your rights to pursue the matter further through the appropriate consumer channels, and we will continue to cooperate fully with any formal process. We remain committed to treating all customers fairly and transparently.
Great service and customer care
The mini PC I bought gave issues, the staff guided me through troubleshooting and when that did not work, they booked it for return. As soon as I delivered the PC to the courier, a replacement was dispatched, they did not wait. I honestly recommend GoGadgets to anyone looking any type of computer.

I'm hesitant to buy refurbished…
I'm hesitant to buy refurbished electronics, but this time it has been great. It has everything it says in the ad. The product as a whole is perfect. I need a new monitor and will get a refurbished one from them.
I only have one minor negative comment: Why doesn't the invoice come in the box or sent via email? I emailed them and it was sent immediately. Sooo... great after sales service as well.
