Bad Bad Bad Bad Bad

AWFUL experience. Will be switching to another service asap. Especially bad experience with purchase of international usage. I paid for two weeks of international service at an expensive rate. Several days into my trip I got a notice of overcharges… HUNDREDS OF SHEKELS of overcharges for international online use and calls tho they were supposedly covered. After SIXTEEN long-distance CALLS to customer service and massive efforts online it became clear they’d sent me the correct dates for international usage but their billing records were wrong—they were dated for international usage in the month BEFORE I’d made the purchase. Makes no sense to have bought a phone plan for a month that’s already passed but i still haven’t been able to get them to correct this.

Support staff is unprofessional

Every contact with their customer service makes me so nervous that I want to disconnect from them. Databases are not updated all the time. I changed my address on the website, ordered a SIM, a courier went to an old address, their support staff is unprofessional

Stay away - they’re SCAMMERS

Stay away! Golan Telecom are scammers. They lie about costs and what’s included, and then charge you way more. Their reps misled us several times, and the company avoids all responsibility. Dishonest and not to be trusted.

Unsatisfactory customer service

I have been a customer of this company for over four years and have consistently experienced reliable service without deviations from the agreed-upon fees. Recently, however, I encountered an unexpected charge on my credit card statement. In an effort to obtain clarification regarding this charge, I contacted the customer service department.

During my inquiry, I requested specific details about the charges and was informed that the company was unable to provide customer-specific information. Additionally, I noted that I had previously requested the blocking of all international calls. The representative indicated that the recent charges pertained to international calls and questioned why I utilised the service if it was not included in my package. I clarified that, given my recent request to block international calls, I expected not to incur associated services. Furthermore, I provided screenshots from prior communications that confirmed the block was in place. The representative indicated to me that the issue would be escalated for resolution, although they suggested that this process could take some time.

Throughout the following weeks, I persisted in my efforts to follow up on this matter, as the charge significantly affected my credit limit. Ultimately, I received what appeared to be an automated message regarding a potential refund; however, this refund has yet to be reflected in my bank statement.

While I recognise the communication I received, it lacked the personalisation I anticipated, given the urgency of the situation. Notably, I received a follow-up call from customer service the day after I cancelled my phone line, inquiring about the reasons for my disconnection. This experience has led me to believe that varying degrees of attention may be afforded to customers depending on their current standing with the company.

Best Cellular company in Israel

They are extremely reliable, prices are good, coverage is great and most importantly they don't steal money like Pelephone and Hot mobile. Turn off roaming when flying abroad from their internet dashboard and you'll be fine.

Worst client service ever!!!avoid at all costs!!!
I requested for a change of address and ask nicely to receive a copy of my latest invoice. The girl said I had to go to the main office of my city to get it. When I ask for the address she replied with a very rude tone:"look it up on Google" and hang up the phone on me. I am now looking for a new phone company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPAN!!! this company has been an absolute nightmare to work with. My son was away for 10 months abroad in Israel and used their service, but came back in July and I contacted them right away that he is back and to cancel the service and they have been running me around, making excuses and asking for ridiculous pieces of personal information to cancel it, including having him himself message them with his photo ID and today’s date and his passport and photos of himself etc. Even when he did that and they confirmed to me five months later that it’s been canceled they are still charging me multiple times a month.

Traveled abroad can't use Golan Telecon

Traveled abroad. They changed the system and I can't use the phone until I return back to Israel. The send no warning or notice about this.

Below their reply

"Hello 🙂 I will be happy to help you.
Your SIM is of the old generation and therefore you are unable to connect to services abroad at the moment.
You must change your SIM to connect to our upgraded network
When are you coming back to Israel?

The only phone company I'll use

I was a subscriber with Golan Telecom in 2013-2014 before going back to the U.S. The customer service was stellar and it was the cheapest company around. Fast forward to April 2023, when I will be in Israel again for a lengthy period of time. The customer service, once again, is seamless. The sim cost about 5 NIS instead of 30, which other companies charged, and they sent it to my place in Tel Aviv free of charge! The phone service itself is also the cheapest around. It is EASY to get a hold of them, and once you do, you're definitely taken care of. I highly recommend this company--it's the only one I'll use when I'm in Israel. A word about the customer service person Chana Zohar, who I dealt with: She was nothing less than amazing. Thank you so much!

I have been a customer of Golan telecom…

I have been a customer of Golan telecom for two years. The first year they didn’t have my credit card details and I rang to pay my 35 shekel bill monthly, it never went over the cost I had agreed on my contract.

Since attaching my details to my account, Golan has taken a minimum of 200 shekels a month, some months as expensive as 1300 shekels. This money has been coming out of my account month after month. I had called multiple times over the months to question these insane charges, no one was ever able to give me any concrete answer as to what was going on. Some times when I travelled and bought an international package this showed up on my accounts, and other times it didn’t, completely at random, although I bought a package every. Single. Time. Over the last 9 months Golan telecom has taken a months worth of rent in phone bill charges from me. Having contracted the VP of customer service via LinkedIn, attempting to get the bottom of this and getting totally ignored, followed by tens of attempts to get through to an English speaker, an English speaking manager Ilan finally started to respond. After having around 15 calls with this manager, requesting details of my phone calls and charges (multiple times) and not being sent anything, I received a phone call from him today to let me know that Golan would give me 50 shekels credit next time I would like to use an international package. I am disgusted and appalled at the lax in care Golan has taken to look after me as a customer and my financial information. It’s quite clear these are false charges having had no justification or proof in 9 months. I feel totally taken advantage of and am saddened that this is just supposed to be accepted. Zero accountability for customer care, poor service and even worse management.

** Update- to anyone who has had an experience like mine-a lawyer will be requesting my call data to the Ministry of Communication, this is something anyone can do so wanted to share!

Worst Mobile Phone Company In Israel

If it were possible to give a minus star rating I would do that. Golan Telecom are the worst mobile phone company in Israel.

1. Unethical charges. Golan Telecom have increased my monthly payment to NIS97.90 i.e. over $30 despite the fact that I am not receiving any customer service or mobile phone service. For around 39 shekels per month i.e. a third, you can get packages with other companies with unlimited texting and calls to local numbers, free or discounted calls to landlines and mobile numbers abroad. Their unethical and excessive charge is pure profiteering bearing in mind I hardly ever use my phone.

2. Non-Provision of Customer Service. Despite frequent phone calls to Golan customer services in Israel on *0058 to request assistance all I get are unanswered calls or promises to phone back which never happen or phone calls which don’t help. The Golan website online assistance doesn’t work either. I receive no reply to emails. This is disgraceful.

3.Non-Provision of Mobile Phone Service. On at least two separate occasions I have tried to make a very important phone call and the phone hasn't worked.

Summing it I would have to say That Golan Telecom provides a very bad service which is entirely unacceptable.

THIEFS!

Aucun interet d'avoir ce forfait.
Vous ne recevez ni SMS d'avertissement que vous etes a 800sh de hors forfait ni SMS quand vous arrivez en France vous donnant les prix locaux.
Ce sont tout simplement des voleurs. Fuyez

4 EUROS PAR MINUTES POUR DES APPELS EN FRANCE AVEC LE FORFAIT "INTERNATIONAL"!

Terrible customer service

The reception functions usually (although there are a lot of places without reception).
Problem is if you need some help.
No one is answering for a long time and they talk to you as if you are there for them, really talking down on you, even if the mistake is clearly on their side.
Packages for abroad did not work at all but were very expensive.

Horrible

I have never done anything like this before but this is the 3rd bill they've sent me after I cancelled by membership. Every time I call they give me some excuse as to why I have another bill, I pay it, I ASK to make sure I have nothing more I need to pay, and then a week later, THEY SEND ME ANOTHER BILL. I don't want to get into a lawsuit or anything for not paying something so I pay it but honestly, if I had to go back in time, I'd rather have never had data at all. It is really that bad. They also charged me 50 dollars for missing a month of payment when I had already left the country and cancelled my membership and hadn't used a lick of that data. I highly recommend you use anything but Golan telecom I don't even know what to do at this point I'm so done with them.
