We've been ordering from them for some time now, and to be honest, the customer service has been consistently poor. They don’t seem to hold any stock, so almost everything ends up on backorder—sometimes with delays stretching over 8 weeks. There’s very little communication from their team regarding ETAs, and in the end, they simply cancelled and refunded the remaining items without explanation. Unfortunately, we won’t be ordering from them again

Goodfellow Cambridge review

3 stage interview process - initial chat with the recruiter, second interview with the recruiter again and an account manager, third interview with two regional sales managers. Also a series of online tests totalling an hour and a PowerPoint presentation. Each interview lasted approx 1 hour 15 mins.

Positive
Seems like an interesting industry to work in, the opportunity for travel too although not sure how much that would be.

Cons
- salary advertised at £35k-£45k. I was offered the job at £25k but with all the benefits like annual leave, free parking and private healthcare - these aren’t benefits these are standard entitlements in every job nowadays

The only feedback I got was “the reason we’ve offered this is because of your appearance and how you dressed in the interview” - I wore black trousers, a new white shirt and brown shoes whilst the interviewer sat there in a similar outfit. This is probably borderline on discriminatory based on my appearance as I’ve been offered a lower salary on this basis and received no feedback on my skills, experience etc just my appearance

The recruiter commented saying I should’ve worn a suit although I think that everyone would agree a shirt and trousers is more than acceptable for an interview on a day that’s 25 degrees outside. When I pointed out that both interviewers were wearing a similar outfit she said to me “but we’re the company we’re interviewing you” my reply back said “actually it works both ways and I was also interviewing you too and I don’t feel like those comments on my attire would’ve been made if I was of a different gender” - she didn’t know what to say and didn’t like my response albeit true and failed to come back with a better offer - thank god because I’d made my mind up by this point.

So I can’t tell you what it’s like to work here but I can tell you I was offended during the hiring process for comments on my appearance and how low the salary was given my experience and what was advertised.

My conclusion is if they are like this when they’re trying to recruit you what are they like when you work there……
