Not a good cover photo
June 2025 issue I thought the cover photo wasn’t well thought out. The model would have looked better sat in a black chair because being a flesh colour I keep seeing other bodies.
Why oh why have they changed the format…
Why oh why have they changed the format of the magazine?! Have been an annual subscriber for many years and always looked forward to receiving my monthly addition yet I now find that due to the tiny font and over load of boring articles it goes straight into the recycling bin. Unfortunately I will not be resubscribing.
Don't Totally Change What Works Well!!
What a shame that the new Editor has felt the need to totally overhaul Good Housekeeping Magazine. It was such a good read and a great layout, informative articles, a great column from Miranda Hart and covered home, garden, fashion, beauty and holidays well.
I don't feel that the new layout is anything near as good as the previous one and I'm definitely not as engaged. I always pass my copy on to my Mum, when I've read it a few times and she's now said not to bother anymore, as she doesn't feel it has anything to offer a woman in her 70s now. I won't be renewing my subscription next month and I've deleted the App as that had started to go downhill too, I felt.
I understand a new Editor wanting to put their stamp on it, now that they're in charge and I can understand they may have had budgets cut etc and that may be why it's changed a lot. However, the new layout and way they're doing it, isn't for me. I'm now reading Woman and Home.
What happened …?!
What happened to the lovely layout Good housekeeping had previously? The pages seemed crumped with text which is so small that I need a magnifing glass to read it! And no, my eyesight is perfect no need for reading glasses! Have been subscribing to this magazine for over 40 years but if they don’t change things this could be my last year. I can understand that they want to modernise it but, they shouldn’t do it on the expense of their readers. It is more like a cheap magazine now and not worth the price of subscription.
Good Housekeeping magazine has really…
Good Housekeeping magazine has really gone downhill. I used to think this was the best magazine but it has become boring and seems to be aimed at the wealthier woman these days. Its customer service is terrible. I had no reminder that my subscription was going to automatically renew which is something most other companies do automatically and I found it impossible to contact them. The phone was not answered and I had no response to my message via the contact link on the website. When I eventually did get through the lady said you have to cancel 8weeks prior to renewal which is ridiculous and said that I could not have a refund if a 6 month subscription but would have to have the magazine until the November issue! I feel so angry with Hearst magazines.
Awful revamp
The revamp is awful. I am so disappointed. I used to enjoy flipping through the lovely, glossy pages , then going back to read the ones that really interested me but now there's no pleasure in it. I was going to renew my subscription but I won't bother now.
Awful revamp. What are they thinking??
I was shocked at how upset I am by the awful revamp of the magazine I've read and subscribed to for years. It feels as though whoever is behind this change has no idea what has made Good Housekeeping popular in the past. It feels like a Sunday supplement in a newspaper. The print is small and some of the articles are insulting, patronising and written in a journalistic style. The article about stacking a fridge was unbelievably bad. I completely agree with the previous reviews. This magazine is meant to entertain and inform, not preach. It should be chatty. I should want to read it and re-read it. I should want to flick through it- not feel as though I'm wading through it. After subscribing for over 25 years I won't be continuing my subscription. Very sad.
Have read Good Housekeeping for 40…
Have read Good Housekeeping for 40 years-very disappointed with the new format-nothing in it sets it apart from other magazines-what happened to the lovely glossy pages ? The new layout print is too crammed as are features so disappointed with this
I’ve been a reader for over 40 years…
I’ve been a reader for over 40 years and this is easily the worst revamp. Stupid sarcastic articles trying to be funny, an anti men sentiment throughout and multiple pages just filled up with disconnected snippets and bite size paragraphs. This isn’t a magazine for intelligent women at this rate.
Disappointing new and less accessible layout
Very disappointed with the new layout in the magazine. It’s more like a newspaper or academic journal to be waded through rather than a magazine to be enjoyed. It appears boring. Additionally it’s less accessible as the font is much smaller.

Paid for an entire year and they didn’t send me 1 issue during the entire year. Refused to answer my customer support emails too. Got picked to test products multiple times and they were never sent to me and never responded to my emails about those either. Waste of money.
Good housekeeping subscription con
On Friday I noticed that £54.99 was taken from my bank account. I never heard of Hearst uk, or receive an email to tell me that they were going to be doing this.
I have twice asked them to cancel this subscription?? and no joy.
They said that in an email they sent me in February 2024 it states that they would be doing this?? 11 months ago?? My insurance company send me renewal notice as do dvla even though they are on repeat.
My current subscription with Good Housekeeping
doesn't run out till March, so why are they taking money now.
I think they rely on people not remembering or just can't be bothered to cancel..I DO..and I want my money back.
They have the cheek to say that I have to give 8 weeks notice to cancel.
Just give me my money back.
Hearst magazines Refund process is disgusting
Paid £64 for a beauty box which I had to return. They received the return on 27 November but to date, despite phone calls and emails, still no refund. I will have to reach out to my Bank. I’ve been a subscriber for years with GH but no longer. Disgraceful wait for a refund.
Such a disapointment with the VIP…
Such a disapointment with the VIP Membership. I have been trying for nearly a week to get the free VIP ticket and an additonal ticket for the event on 14th November. All that is happening is emails backwards and forwards. I was told that tickets had been made available and to book quickly, however, this was not possible as I had not received the code. Finally a day or two later with the code i went online only to find tickets unavailable. More emails explaining this to them and still not resolved they are asking whether I have managed to book. This is so frustrating and disapointing especially after paying out £149 for what is supposed to be VIP ???????
This is not a review about Good…
This is not a review about Good Housekeeping. This is a review about a meal plan (COOKZUNITY) that takes your credit card information before you can look at what they offer. I am not interseted and have tried to get back in their site and make sure it is canceled. Problem is I can not get back in the site and the only thing I can get from them is that they will contact me within 24 hours and always tell me to go online to cancel. There are no instructions. COOKXUNITY. They are number one on your referral list. You might want to take them off.
Avoid Competitions
I thought I'd try my luck with entering a few competitions as it was a free entry with Good Housekeeping, but there is no such thing as free with these websites as they sell your information, and all of a sudden, I receive daily phone calls from all these different companies offering their services. I receive scam texts and I've just been added to a crypto scam WhatsApp group which made me decide to write a review, as I'm thinking about the vulnerable people. Good housekeeping competitions were the only website I signed up for to enter competitions, so I know it's not because I signed up for other dodgy websites. I thought the good housekeeping website sounded trust worthy.

200 pages of rubbish cheap adverts what a load of trash only fit for the recycling bin
not worth the money over priced is it really £6.99 ???
Won’t be subscribing to this magazine again used to look forward to receiving this monthly magazine what has gone wrong 😑
Sad GHK
I have been a subscriber on and off for years and gave usually enjoyed GHK. But the September issue was grim...vegetables in cakes and other recipes that did not appeal; celebs l have never heard of and the 'joy' of cocktail coats in Christmas/New Year to come...those issues, full of glitz are quite wearing. GHK is not for me anymore.
Love your magazine
Love your magazine
My son got me a subscription
I was delighted till I found out subscribers receive there copy of the magazine up to 5 days after non subscribers can buy it in the shops!!!!!
Shouldn't that be the other way round ???
Shouldn't subscribers be rewarded for subscribing by getting to read the magazine first before nonsubscribers !!!!!!!!
Just a thought 🤔
Magazine is boring aF
Sorry I'm not ur run of the mill wife. Most of the articles suck. Now that it's online, and they try to reel you In, to buy it online as well as every freaking grocery store shelf...and what do they offer? Honestly, nothing! The magazine is boring as shut!
