Excellent service. Time is critical when buying a property, and these solicitors understood that perfectly especially with the tight deadline we had. Always kept us informed and upto date and always on hand to answer any queries. Karolina has been so helpful and extremely pleasant through out the process, would 100% recommend.

Prompt reponses to phone messages and emails. Fast conveyancing and management of my sale and parallel purchase was easily tracked; timely responses to questions (mine and buyers); a readily useable document portal so key dox and emails can be lodged and accessed, with visibility of internal governance and tracking for progress... and all at a fair price. No fuss or scaremongering when odd questions popped up which we thought we'd put to bed. Property sites say conveyancing takes 140-180 days - Rakesh did the magic in less than a third of that. Great communication from Zain’s team. Even if our solicitor wasn’t available one of the team members was always able to update us on the process.

We had a complex situation in the recent sale of our 2 bedroom maisonette, having had one offer fall through previously we were keen not to have a repetition. From the onset Dawn (in Zain’s team) took the bull by the horns. She had a clear understanding of the situation and was able to talk us through our options, explaining cost implications etc. All in all it was a smooth process and we completed in good time. I'd recommend Gough Thorne solicitors and would happily use them again in future.

We had issue after issue with the sale of our property. In speaking with other estate agents and professionals, they're not a well-regarded solicitors and we don't feel we would use them again if we were to move (noticed an issue with the mortgage the day before we completed after a 6-month sale process; noticed enquiries on our purchase property hadn't been carried out the day we were due to exchange etc etc). A lot of avoidable issues occurred during our sale and purchase that could have been avoided which could have saved so much stress. Paula even reminded us to 'manage our expectations' when we asked to speak to our solicitor on the day we were due to exchange and were instead requested to sign a disclaimer to absolve Gough Thorne of future accountability - incredibly unhelpful.

Paula Hill is an absolute superstar! I have no idea how much she earns, but whatever it is—give her more! She worked tirelessly, pulling long hours to get my purchase over the line before the stamp duty deadline. And despite dealing with nightmare vendors (who tried every trick in the book—tying in properties to a no-chain sale, being dismissive, and causing pointless delays), she stayed calm, kind, and reassuring the entire time. Seriously, I don’t know how she does it! If anyone deserves a promotion, it’s Paula. I really lucked out having her by my side throughout this whole process, she's actually the best!.. Anyway I have to go tidy up this house>_>
