Good Greek moved us from Haines City Fl. to Jacksonville Fl. on March 30th. The move was very smooth and there were not any problems. Sam, Akeem, and Johnathan were outstanding. Some moves are a pain to make, but they made it somewhat easy!

Good Greek packed, moved, stored, and retuned our furniture, clothing and kitchen wares. Our dining room table, living room coffee table, 3 lampshades and some dishes were badly damaged. For a company that advertises how they train their moving men this was beyond disappointing

An Employee by the last name Riveras with the company referred to me as a r-tarded monkey after having a verbal disagreement where I refused to answer his questions. I would reconsider using their services. Based on the other reviews I've also read, they seem to have a biased opinion of people.

The guy that showed up to do the estimate was not the same three people that showed up to move two of them didn’t speak English. They stole my TV. They were supposed to unpack everything that we’ve paid for then they asked for more money. They stole about $2000 of personal belongings.

Very disappointed. I am a former Police Officer and used this company due to the belief that their work ethics would be second to none with an owner who is also a former police officer. This was my second move with this company and I had a decent first time however, this second was far from being fair or reasonable. It started with a quote of a 7am-9am Saturday morning arrival. I got a call at 8:47pm on Halloween night cancelling that time and telling me that it would be late afternoon due to one employee having to visit a hospital. Odd for a company that employ's several dozen if not hundreds for their "Nation Wide Capabilities". The person stated that they would call me at 7am Saturday morning and that due to my adjusted work schedule they would get someone to me by 10am. Saturday morning I had no calls and I had to call them directly by 8:30am to inquire why I have not been called yet. They apologized and stated they would have movers at my home in the afternoon and would call me 30 minutes prior and didn't have an exact time. For note, I do NOT live near my old residence as it's about a 40 minute drive. I would need to be in the area all afternoon and wait for a call. The call came in at 11:47am stating they were 20 minutes away. The drivers arrived at my apartment at 12:20, loaded, drove to the new home and unloaded and finished by 2:25. A 2 hour move. I was NEVER given an invoice of my move by the drivers or company until after they left my home. Prior to leaving they asked for my card or to use the card on file and figuring the job was 2 hours plus their "to and from" charge I would be billed around $477 plus a disposable fee for one couch I didn't need. That disposal of simply taking it to throw out was $395 which was not quoted. They also hit me with a surcharge of 25% of my total bill of $280.44 on my bill after a deposit amount of $1152.19. So in long, I was charged for 4 hours on a 2 hour job. Hit was a disposal fee should have been $299, a surcharge fee $280.44, and a job that should have been roughly $780. I paid double the amount of $1409.69. This is what you would call HIDDEN FEE"s and inability to finish a job/move unless you pay. Their contract was roughly 20 pages of legalities of their services and charges. Nobody reads all that. When you want a company to help you move, you expect it to be simple and easy and straightforward. If my move is 3 hours, what is the hourly rate, and what is my total. That is it. If it takes 3 hours total at $159 and you use $40 for tape and shrinkwrap, your total is $517.

Very disappointed in this company. I would not recommend them. Do yourself a favor, justice, and aggravation and hire someone to simply load your uhaul truck at whatever hourly rate it is. A Uhaul would be $100. A crew at both locations is about $200. $500 for a move and a truck. I hope the owners prior work ethics as a LEO was better than the company he runs and promotes. At the end of the day, moving companies are unethical and have shady practices. Again, a simply job for 2 hours of total work, including travel time was $1400. Absolutely crazy. Especially when I had walls scuffed, floors scuffed, furniture banged up.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - They Destroyed $5,700 Worth of Our TVs
We were repeat customers—our first move with Good Greek went fine, which is why we trusted them again. HUGE MISTAKE.

For our second move (short 30-minute drive within Miami), agent Robert Lopez sold us on "VIP service" and assured us they were the ONLY 100% fully insured moving company. We chose them over Piece of Cake based on this promise.

THE DISASTER:

3 out of 4 TVs DESTROYED - $5,700 worth of OLED TVs completely ruined
TVs wrapped ONLY in blankets—NOT properly boxed as our contract stated
ZERO communication from the company for MONTHS after we filed our claim
Insulting settlement offer of $450 (that's only 8% of actual damages!)
They claim "$0.60 per pound" liability despite Robert assuring us everything was "fully insured"
We were NEVER asked to declare the value of our furniture or offered additional insurance coverage
The company REFUSES to provide their insurance information even when requested by our attorney
They went from carefully boxing our TVs the first time to just throwing blankets on them. Now they're ghosting us and hiding behind fine print we were never properly informed about.

DO NOT trust this company with your valuables. We lost nearly $6,000 and countless hours fighting for what they owe us.

The whole job went smooth. No surprises. No major damage, actually no damage that I can think of. Price was the price for entire job, no nonsense add-ons, etc.
They were recommended to me by 2 people, and I would feel confident recommending them myself. Easy to deal with.

Also storage was reasonably priced. Junk removal option was nice. The place was totally clean after the job was done. I didn't really have to do anything, which was nice with my schedule and the kids.

This started as a wonderful experience. Ended with a nightmare. BEWARE of hidden charges. They'll hit you for 25% on top of 25%. Our quote DOUBLED. Trip charge. Truck charge. Gas charge. So many charges and then on top of that they hit it all with 25%. We lost it on the phone and after threats of a negative review which surprises me because EVERY REVIEW is BAD, they reached out to me and promised a $300 refund on our chard which they did. BUT THEN they decided to hit my card with an UNAUTHORIZED charge for $89 which we are disputing. This company pledges on being honest and servicing veterans and screening and all that...we trusted them and PROMISED them after the $300 refund we would leave a review that was more on the positive side...but they FAILED US AGAIN by charging the same card they refunded with $89. STAY AWAY....

If I could give them negative stars I would. They packed much of our artwork, most of which was damaged due to the way it was packed. Imagine a piece of artwork thrown into a box and a portable grill put on top...When they arrived at our location, the driver took a wrong turn and got stuck (on a private dirt road). We were told we had to pay an additional $1800 (on a GUARANTEED RATE contract) to get our belongings delivered as they did not have easy access to our home. We are on a paved road with double yellow lines to our driveway. When they arrived the next day, I was told I had to sign a new contract or they would not unload our belongings. I used the signature "under duress" , but when they sent me a copy, it had our signature on it ...HMMM. Once everything was unloaded, many of our belongings were damaged due to the gross negligence of their packing. When they unwrapped our leather sofa with a box cutter, they sliced through the leather. I wish I could post the pictures of the damage here. We are having a very difficult time getting any satisfaction from the company. We did dispute the additional "hostage fee" with our credit card company. This should be a totally separate issue, but they will not deal with our claim for damages until that is settled. American Express has submitted the dispute twice, and Good Greek is claiming they have nothing. I would NOT recommend this company

Never and I stress NEVER should you want to use this moving company. If you ever have to use them please please think about what you are going to go through and find any way possible not to use this mover. Read their BBB information, read online reviews. And yes consider that they are back 6, 7, 8 years ago and there’s some recent ones. You will see what I want you to know it trust your instincts and use the good head on your shoulders to understand what you are going to go through. All of the bad reviews are true because of all the different types of problems from each of them I got the chance to experience all of those problems in my one move. Don’t let what has happened to so, so many people before you happen to you too. Only to lead you here writing a review pleading with their prospective customers not to use them. If I can only make a difference to 5 people I will have some solice in how this company raped me, my belongings and caused me undue mental anguish that nearly saw me to be declared a mentally unstable person for some time. And because of that time it exceeded their time frame for claims reporting. If you have a problem and are lucky like me to speak to who sounded like a wonderful person and advocate for me, don’t believe in them. It’s just what you want to hear and you will NEVER hear back from them or get any resolution to your problem. It will all get pushed under your signed agreement with them - though they never explain to you what it is exactly you’re getting into. And any offers they make you such as free shipping cartons or materials don’t expect them but if the materials are presented don’t expect them for free like you were offered up front by the sales closer. And when you expect the movers to do what you want them to do, don’t. They do exactly what they want to do, to the point of air passing boxes into a pile in the center of my one car garage for the boxes to just fall as they may regardless of the contents. If you have furniture that is supposed to be placed on it’s feet like a chest you can expect to find it on it’s side amongst the stacked haphazardly other possessions of yours. Final words, if you have no care or concern about all of your personal belongings and don’t mind if they are damaged and destroyed, this is the moving company for you. If you value your possessions and would like a company you hire to work for you to actually do the work you ask of them this is NOT the company for you.

I paid over $13,000 to move my things from FL to MA. I am not exactly sure how many things are damaged because there are too many to count. Boxes crushed, solid mahogany bedroom furniture scratched - everything, nightstands, dresser, shelf, bed frame - three standing tall lamps (two were stereo speaker lamps) had to be thrown away - decor bent - worst of all there was tape wrapped directly on many of my wood furniture items permanently damaging the surface. In addition, the reason you should not use Good Greek Moving is because their compensation for damages is $0.60 per pound!? I don't think the weight of my mahogany furniture represents its value. If something weighs a 100 lbs and they ruin it, they'll maybe give you $60? They also only sent 2 movers with the delivery in MA and I really felt bad for them. Two movers to get all of the items in my house that 6 movers packed up and moved out! If you are not going very far and it is all in the same day and you do not have anything of real value, go ahead and risk it. I decided to forgo the mediocre reimbursement they offered me (which won't replace practically anything they damaged) so I could post reviews instead.

Commercial fraud
Been promised 3 bed rooms to be assembled - not even one has been done.
It was contractually agreed 3 assemblers to be sent but I learned, Good Greeks sends only 2 on a regularly basis.

I do not write this post lightly but during the worst hurricane to hit Florida this century Good Greek Moving and Storage scammed us by failing to disclose and communicate actual cost. Last night on 10/8 they were supposed to move our first story furniture out of our house and to their storage unit due to potential flooding of our home. I explicitly asked the representative several times to review what the cost would be to verify our out of pocket expense. They gave us a written quote of $1100 to load and move our furniture to their storage facility and I pre-paid the amount quoted. After loading the moving truck (3.5hrs)with our furniture they said I owed a balance of almost $4000 to take the furniture to their storage facility. Ultimately to return the furniture when the hurricane passed it would have been a total cost in excess of $8000. Who would ever agree to such an exorbitant cost??? We refused to pay so they charged my credit card without our permission an additional $845 to unload the furniture back into our home. We helped the movers unload the truck for over 2 1/2 hours because it was almost 8:00PM and we needed to evacuate from south Tampa. We spent over $2000 for absolutely nothing just to have our furniture loaded and unloaded off a truck over a 6 1/2 hours. Mind you on the eve of the hurricane! I’ve tried multiple times to reason with them but they have been completely unresponsive. I cannot stress this enough to NEVER EVER use Good Greek Moving & Storage. Do not listen to any other reviews as they can pay google, Yelp, etc to remove bad reviews. I’m not one to bad mouth a business on social media but I want to ensure that no-one else gets scammed by Good Greek Moving & Storage! Protect your hard earned money and use a honest and reputable company that doesn’t take advantage of a family during a catastrophic hurricane.

I have moved with Good Greek 3x now. I just moved and was given a moving window of 8-10 am. The movers arrived by 8:15 am. They moved swiftly. They were personable and took care all of my requests. Highly recommend the team of Ali, Leon, and Anthony.

I recently had a horrendous experience with Good Greek Moving. From the start, there were billing discrepancies - I was charged for 42 wardrobe boxes, but my inventory only listed 12, and many of the boxes weren't even Good Greek-branded.

The negligence displayed during the move is unforgivable. Not only were my high-value items, including a TV and concrete tables, inadequately packaged, but they also suffered clear signs of impact damage. The use of moving blankets instead of proper packaging is a testament to their unprofessionalism.

To add insult to injury, their offered compensation of $750 falls far short of the $1,800 replacement cost for my damaged items. Despite my reasonable request, they seem uninterested in resolving the matter. Steer clear of this moving company unless you want to deal with broken items and an unresponsive customer service team.

This is long. Be patient. We decided to do construction and needed storage so, as the commercials advertise, Good Greek was the place to call. Billy got us hooked up with getting our things picked up and put in storage . I paid immediately, which is a requirement. I did a great review. Then we needed some other moving done, so I called again, we got it done quickly, and I gave another great review. Also, paid immediately, which was a requirement. We've been paying since February for storage and needed to get our things delivered back to the house. I called and got us scheduled for Sunday, July 30, morning. Oh, I paid immediately, which was a requirement. We got up and were ready for the guys to arrive. At 1140 I called to ask about what time they'd be there. Oh, the guy said, they had to go back to yesterday's house to finish up but would be back to the warehouse to get our things as soon as possible. Ok, I said, that will be about 2 to 3 hours I guess? The guy says yes that's about right. I asked why no one called. He said, oh, sorry. So, 4 hours later, at 330 I called again. Oh, sorry, they can't come because of the truck. The truck, I ask? If there's something wrong with the truck, don't you have like a 140 other trucks they could use since that's an advertisement? No. I ask why am I calling YOU about this? Why didn't someone call me? I said I'd like to talk to a supervisor. She gets on and tells me they can't because of the truck. I am furious by now and all she wants to do is de-escalate and tell me I need to calm down. I want to know why I had to call twice? Why aren't they using another truck? What am I supposed to do with the people helping me that have been waiting for 8 hours? The people here to help me work all week and this is why we decided to do this on Sunday, which was thankfully the opening the employee gave ME. So, now I have to wait a few days and will get to do this by myself. I did my part. I paid up front and did good reviews. The commercials reel us in and then we get fooled just like John Doe moving company down the street. Today is Monday and I've heard nothing. I asked to talk to the manager. Nope. Mr. Good Greek should feel ashamed of this kind of service.

I had a confirmed move appointment 8-9AM. I called at 9:45 and asked "what happened?" They claimed they called me, I have no missed messages, they claimed that the gate called (we live in a gated community). The gate has both my husbands and I'd number! Again no missed calls. They claimed to have waited at the gate for an hour. Checked with guard at gate and he never saw them! Good Greeks was on the list Even the customer service agent on phone claimed he called, no missed message. He says all calls all recorded and he would send me the message. Guess what no message...I asked for a supervisor or manager to call guess what NO CALL....THESE GUYS ARE LIARS! As a customer you fill sign so much paperwork but they have no respect for the customer or customer service! LIARS! LIARS LIARS!
