I have just switched to Green Network Energy and so far it has been a smooth ride
Just switched -very poor!
Have just switched through MSE . The Smart meter readings are messed up -they have applied the gas reading to both gas and electricity .Something to sort out straight away -if I’d not spotted this I would have had a massive bill for electricity .Not a Smart start, especially after they’d emailed me saying I needn’t do anything as they’d taken Smart meter readings ! Already regretting the switch.

My daughter was released from a contract with a house in Manchester prior to ever moving in because of a vermin infestation problem. The property was let by homes for you. They agreed that my daughter and 3 friends could cancel the contract and walk away. No strings! Unbeknown to my daughter, homes for you had signed her up to Green network energy nework. My daughter had no knowledge of this. Six months later a student living in this address contacted my daughter through social media to tell her there were important looking letters with her name on, mounting up in this house that she had never set foot in. My daughter was sent the letters by the student and they were from green network energy saying she owed them over £200. My daughter immediately contacted them and explained the situation. Two weeks ago She was told it would be handled by the home moving dept and not to worry. Yesterday she contacted them after hearing nothing from them and was told she now owed £400 and it would be handled by the home moving dept again and they would be in touch. Also some of the letters she received were from a debt agency ( rather menacing for a young student)This is disgraceful behaviour and very stressful for these young people, who have done nothing wrong in the first place. In fact never ever living in the property. We are now taking it to the ombudsman and will not rest until justice prevails. Disgusting service!!!!!!

Paying someone else’s bills !!!!
GNE failed to answer any emails since September (now Jan). They have incorrectly assigned my electric meter and I have been paying someone else’s bills !!! Now EON who are actually supplying my power want to fit a prepayment meter to my house and GNE refuse to respond. Zero customer service. Avoid this company at all costs.

I have been impressed with the efficiency and fairness of the way the company introduced themselves and handled a few initial teething problems.
Customer services awful
This company comes up as one of the cheapest on uSwitch but they are terrible. I moved house and they messed everything up over and over. Customer service is shocking. Ended up having to switch companies.

I have been giving meter readings but they don’t send me updated bills.
Sent many emails but no response.
Spent hours in order to correct the bills over the phone and even after raising a complaint, no response .

Unfortunately inherited them from previous tenants. Awful. Avoid
Moved into house that had been with GNE so unfortunately had inherited them. Phoned them the day after receiving bill (property had been empty for 6 months prior to us moving in) to give them actual meter readings. A few days later I received 6 bills, all on same day, all of varying amounts. Called a further twice to try and confirm the correct bill to pay, each time to be told that it was still in progress and billing team would phone me. Had nothing so raised complaint in an attempt to get someone to speak to. Eventually heard back where again they said they would escalate to billing team and have someone call me. Never happened. I then received threats of late payment fees and passing on to debt collection and all I wanted was someone to confirm the correct amount to pay! I have ended up paying what I believe to be the right bill but though I transferred to them it still hasn't been credited to my account despite me chasing them daily to see why. People on phone are polite but seem to have a script that they read from and can't help you with anything so you just get pushed to another department that never calls back. Cannot wait to get to another company but can't do that until GNE clear my supposed debt that I have already paid. Avoid.

Great value energy. Easy to manage account online. Being able to submit regular meter readings means you can check that direct debits are covering the energy used, and no nasty shocks with a big bill (like with my previous supplier!)
Gas & Electric bills are never easy to understand, but Green Network Energy make them as easy as possible, showing the plan you are on with the costs on each bill.
I would definitely stay with Green Network Energy when my current deal expires.
Extremely annoyed
I was cancelling old direct debits the other day and I was pretty sure I was not with Green Network Energy anymore, I use Look after my bills.
I got an email next day, "Urgent, you must re-instate your Direct Debit, you will incur extra costs blah blah blah", so I wasted nearly an hour calling them.
I spoke to a very nice lady, but she asked me every security question imaginable, then told me I am not with them......so why the serious almost threatening email.....extremely annoyed by unnecessary fuss and waste of my time

Incompetent service providers
Poor, I’ve had a complaint outstanding for some time, I have made every attempt to resolve it. My calls get disconnected whilst on hold when I have asked to speak to a manager and call backs from complaints are not upheld. There also seems to be a lack of understanding about what my problem is and I have to re explain it over and over again.

One of my neighbours accidentally used…
One of my neighbours accidentally used my address to change my electricity to a different company but when I got the email from Green they took care of the problem and my service with them was continued, a great stress reliever for me.

Very happy
I am very happy since we changed to Green Network Energy! They have been clear with our monthly Direct Debit amount and this has stayed consistent throughout the year as we were expecting it. We haven't had good experience with other companies in the past so it has been really nice to relax about our electricity and gas bills.
