We also had an unsolicited marketing email from Greenwood offering business finance. We however decided to give it a go and got on a call with someone called Steve. Upon submitting a bunch of documents my business partner was promised 24 hour decision from Greenwood's finance partners. And it was the very last time we heard back from them. Multiple chasers- total ignorance. I guess they realised it won't be an easy catch and dropped our case- without even telling us. Can't imagine we will trust with our finances to such a business. Stay away, scam.

After being scammed November before last, it’s had a horrendous effect on my personal finance, this led to me being unable to get business finance on a van just before Christmas. After coming across an ad for Greenwood capital I thought I’d try my luck…. George got in touch with me and within only a day or two, I had a pot in my business account to buy the van I wanted, a bit of cashflow, and some money for marketing! Sending me spam emails as ClearCaptial. Why would you trust a financial organisation that has to resort to spam?
Please don't give me your stock answer "we buy direct mailing lists like any other organisation" - your email was to me personally - so it is ILLEGAL (whatever your direct mailing company has told you)
Secondly, why should I take time unsubscribing from emails I should never have received in the first place?

Spam emails from this company. Do not trust. If they cannot get clients in an honest way it fills me with no confidence that they'll be a good company to deal with otherwise.

Your practices do not comply with GDPR regulations as you are using contact information illegally for spam purposes. We have never granted permission for you to send us emails. It is likely that you scraped the email address from LinkedIn, as we exclusively use that email for LinkedIn. Additionally, you have yet to respond to my email. I was just getting in contact to introduce ourselves. We work with a number of companies in your sector to provide finance, or to improve/restructure their existing finance agreements.

We’re a whole of market brokerage, but specialise and focus predominantly on Asset Based Lending, property (dev/bridging/mortgages) and cashflow. In the past couple of months we’ve worked with lots of companies, helping them to raise debt, or to refinance existing agreements. Excitingly, we’ve also recently reopened our applications for the Government backed Recovery Loan Scheme (RLS 3.0). Up to £250k, 70% government backed.

My response, to which you have not yet replied, leaves me wondering why you can reply here but not to my email?

I am writing to formally demand that you immediately cease and desist from sending me unsolicited emails, which I consider to be spam. It has come to my attention that you have unlawfully acquired my email address and are using it to send me unwanted messages. Please be advised that such actions constitute a violation of the United Kingdom's privacy and data protection laws.

Furthermore, I am hereby exercising my rights under the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by requesting that you provide me with the following information:

The categories of personal data you have collected about me.
The source from which you acquired my personal data.
As per the aforementioned laws, you are required to provide me with the requested information within one month of the receipt of this email.

Moreover, I demand that you delete all my personal data from your systems, databases, and any other storage facilities immediately after providing me with the information I have requested. Failure to comply with this demand will result in me pursuing legal action against you, including but not limited to, contacting my attorney to explore all available legal remedies.

Please also be aware that I intend to file a complaint with the relevant data protection authority in the United Kingdom regarding this matter.
