I began my journey as a pilot in 2022 and opted to use Gold Seal as my ground school to achieve my private pilot certification. A dream I have had since 6 years old- I still remember watching the Blue Angels take off at Alliance Airshow for the first time. The course is extremely informative and engaging. Years later, I achieved my CFI with the intention of providing outstanding instruction for the next generation of aviators. Gold Seal, once again, is changing the game. Using their online platform I am able to keep track of my students progress and identify deficiencies. The syllabus allows me to correlate what’s learned online to the classroom- and eventually the airplane. This allows me to be a better instructor and give intentional training to my students. No matter where you are in your pilot journey, I couldn’t recommend Gold Seal more!!

I've tried multiple online ground schools, including MzeroA and Part-Time Pilot. MzeroA is the most comprehensive as far as what's included, but it's by far the most expensive! If you want to thoroughly learn the knowledge required to pass the FAA Private Pilot Written Exam, Gold Seal is the most cost affective ground school. For me personally, it was also the best at keeping me engaged.

I used Gold Seal for my Private Pilot and Instrument Rating training and was very pleased with the quality of the videos and the thoughtful design and navigation of their ground school. I completed the Commercial license before the release of the Commercial ground school, but knowing the high quality they produce gives me confidence that it is just as good as their other ground schools. I am now a CFI and plan to have my students study using Gold Seal. They offer an excellent CFI backend student management portal, allowing us to track our students' progress and access additional information. I highly recommend this ground school for a modern approach and a dependable resource.

24 hold on final exam failure is not acceptable for a paid course such as this. I understand you likely want the student to have time to brush up on the knowledge before attempting again, but it was super frustrating having to wait 24 hours due to schedule conflict.

The level of detail and support

Very well made and I only did not just learn things for the written test I also learned much that is needed for the checkride! Well worth.

I just scored a 92% on both a practice final and final exam with Gold Seal. I plan to take the real written test soon and am very confident that I will pass the exam with flying colors.

The materials are excellent and made everything as understandable as possible as easily as possible. The variety of materials (videos, graphics, text, supplementary materials) kept it interesting.

The quizzes, stage checks, and final exams, along with the ability to see which questions I got wrong to know what I need to study more made the path forward to progress pretty clear.

The Facebook group has been very helpful to me with all sorts of aviation questions, even beyond the ground school material.

Russell Still is very accessible and helpful.

The lessons and AV materials were excellent. They explained the material and emphasized what was important and what you would be tested on. However, they didn't eliminate the need for reading and studying the resource materials.

I am dipping my toe back into flying after being away for years.

I looked over all the top Ground Schools and Gold Seal outranked them all with top-notch graphics, narration, presentations and content and affordability. The training staff has great camera-presence, diction, and the right amount of seriousness and brevity.

You get Wings Credit ! You can get a printed-out certificate that you passed the course and that you are ready for your FAA-written.

This helps prove to my flight instructor (who is giving me my Flight Review) that I participated in a great ground school.

Explanations were simple., and examples were great. The video quality and resources added were outstanding

Extremely illustrative, detailed and well presented. I had a super experience and got a 95 on my written exam

Awesome ground school program!

This course is easy to follow and understanding all the FAA information is a breeze. I first started off with the trial and once I finished it, I bought the full course. The animated slides and videos really helped.

Awesome ground school. I scored a 93% on my PPL written. The content is really engaging and thorough, and three instructors at my flight school have complimented me on my knowledge, and I owe it to Gold Seal. The program also has a great option to ask a Gold Seal instructor questions if you're stuck. I've used this resource twice, and once Russ Still himself helped me through the problem. I can't recommend Gold Seal highly enough.

I was a little unsure about getting my endorsement from an online ground school, but Gold Seal was awesome! The courses are really well put together, and the instructors explain things clearly, especially with the animations they use. It's way better than just staring at boring slides—it's like you're interacting with the material, which makes it stick better. What's cool is that you can go at your own pace, which was perfect for me. It's not the same as being in a classroom, but it gave me a great base of knowledge before I even stepped into a plane. Definitely worth it if you want to get a head start on learning to fly!

I compared several online ground schools. I actually paid for more than one, just to be thorough. While the other online school was well reviewed and highly recommended, and I still refer to it for variety, I keep finding myself coming back to Gold Seal. The engaging delivery, the 3D illustrations and animations, and the fantastic design and user experience can't be beat. I actually signed up for 2 other courses as well. Highly recommended.
