Really enjoyed the combination of videos, explanations, diagrams, animations and "live" cockpit views. Broken down into manageable bites that allows you to move at your own pace but see noticeable progress. The frequency of testing after a subject helped solidify the knowledge. Took my test today and scored a 93%. I've already started on the Instrument Ground School and am very anxious to learn everything I can. Thank you to Gold Seal for an excellent job.

Great program for PPL and IFR!

I went with Gold Seal for both my PPL and IFR ground school and could not have been happier.

Let’s start with the easy part. I scored a 92 on my PPL knowledge test and a 98 on my Instrument Test. This absolutely made the checkride oral easier and I was well prepared. Do the work, study the quizzes, look at what you got wrong, and study some more. Success is a by-product of putting in the work with this excellent course.

As for the actual learning, the “lectures”, the videos and the 3D Animations were all top shelf. The material was presented in a way that wasn’t just for passing the test, but rather in a way to impart practical and long lasting knowledge. I couldn’t be happier with what I learned and the way it was presented. It really hits when you’re talking to CFIs, other long term pilots and well respected aviation community members and your knowledge is on par with the theirs and you can partake in a meaningful discussion beyond just memorization of test questions.

I can’t recommend Gold Seal, Russ, Nate and the team highly enough.

This course was actually enjoyable. I used another online ground school for my PPL and it was boring and hard to stay interested. Gold Seal had small enough sections and frequent quizzes to keep me engaged. The explanations were extremely clear and easy to understand. I would recommend this to everyone!

I liked the methods and teaching style of this course. I do think that some areas could have been covered earlier or later than others, and maybe a little more diversity in the questions.

Excellent material and customer service. I had a couple of technical questions concerning navigating the course on my iPad. Asked one via email and received an immediate response; called once and they picked up the phone and walked me through the issue while I was on the phone.

It's been almost two years since I received my PPL while going through Gold Seal's ground school. Now pursuing instrument I went back to brush up on some things (benefit of lifetime subscription) and pick back up with instrument ground. I appreciate the fact that a Flight Planning Calculations section was added to the Real World Flying section in the PPL course. When I self taught myself how to use an E6B, some of the videos I watched were crude but made the point. This new section is so much more understanding when learning how to use an E6B. A good pilot is always learning and with continual improvements the learning never stops!

This course was broken down into easily digestible chunks. It was presented very well with great videos that helped me understand the material. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great ground school for their private pilot exam. Update: I passed my private pilot written exam with a 98 after using this course.

This program worked well for me. I really liked the study pauses during the videos and the flash card study portion. I was able to keep up with the learning curve. I started the program on a phone but discovered that the software works much better on a computer. The graphics where well done, being a verry visual learner, that was a big help for me. I would recommend it to anyone.

It was a good experience, i would recommend it to any one . You do have to put in the hours and be a self starter but all the info is there and they are reasonable with response time should you have an issue..

It was very plain English, clear instruction, and easy to understand. The course was self paced which helped me to learn more and more at my pace. The support team was very helpful when I had questions over the phone. When they could not figure out my question they reached out to me via email later in the day.
