I discovered GrowthMentor a few years ago when I had just stepped into the role of Head of Brand & Communication in a fast-growing startup.

Eventually, I had to quickly dive into the different areas I'd never worked in before: How does CRM work? How to implement a unique tone of voice across the full company? How to make my voice heard? How does performance marketing work, so I could align on goals with them?

I used the platform to connect with experts in very different fields who provided me with detailed advice and support along the way. Now I've joined the platform as a mentor myself, to give back years of experience to mentees and connect with fellow mentors. I am super glad about this, because people on the platform go through personal interviews with founders, and as a result, the quality of expertise you get is super high.

My experience so far has been very positive. Even though some conversations are one-time sessions, they're still incredibly valuable. Being able to get professional, expert advice in an area you don't know much about, or simply gain new ideas, different perspectives, deeper insight into your own thinking, and validation, is invaluable.

The price point is remarkable for the level of expertise you're able to access. I haven't seen anything else like it.

The transcription software is clutch. It lets me fully focus on the conversation and immerse in conversation instead of worrying about taking notes.

From the moment I signed up, the platform made everything easy and intuitive. But what really stood out was my first mentor session, which exceeded my expectations. The mentor was fantastic, and I left the call feeling energized and with real, actionable insights.

best place to get your growth journey started

GrowthMentor has put together a superb group of highly accomplished mentors for a very fair price. Highly recommend this service!

Times are limited, minimal chance sessions get approved, and really no concrete advice from the 2 ppl I was able to meet.

There is a limit of 3 sessions lining up so even if you have unlimited plan, you won’t be able to book more.

Out of every 4 mentor session requests only 1 will be responsive enough for the session to get approved. Some won’t even care to reply tho mostly they will send a message and say rebook but ghost.

I met a couple of new mentors and the conversations were nice and supportive but I wouldn’t say they gave me any practical steps or were not concrete. This was acceptable to me because I was also new to doing this and I assumed I would have a chance with other types of mentors as well but it did not happen.

Customer service is responsive but they will not be accountable to the mismatch between fees and outcome. Won’t be recommending.

Also majority of availability is not PST friendly.

I'm using GrowthMentor after encouragement from one of my clients and so far I love it. I love the welcome I received from the founders and staff and have found the sessions I've had so far to be useful. The pricing is so much more transparent than what i would get if I was going for coaching and I like that it's straightforward to access the mentor of my choosing. On top of this I've been able to get AI recordings of the sessions I've had.

I signed up for three-month trial with three calls scheduled at a time to get real feedback from fellow entrepreneuers because I had been using ChatGPT as my resource until that point and it made no sense. I got some really great advice from several impressive entrepreneurs. The reason I had no interest to renew was that after several video calls, there wasn't much more advice to gain and I went several weeks without scheduling a call, which was a waste of budget. Also, while some mentors come with a lot of enthusiasm and advice, others seemed disinterested and just wanted the call to end. Several require payment which makes sense for their time, but then it gets expensive to pay both a membership and an individual's fee. I also never booked anyone twice because I didn't see a reason. This may be better for networking than for mentorship but there is real value. I'm glad I joined GrowthMentor but wouldn't return.

GrowthMentor is such a great platform to use!

It is super user-friendly and so easy to navigate through the platform! There are many filters and key words you can use in order to find the mentor for your needs and after that, everything is scheduled with a “one click action” and there you go, with tour session on your calendar, useful tips for your first session and a reminder when the date approaches!

The mentors you can find offer a great range of area expertise, so it almost certain you will find what you are looking for!

My session with Mischa was a blast! She was very easy-going and suggested so many useful tips and project management tools to help me with what I needed.

I went to Growth Mentor for assistance in pivoting my freelance career and also to assist in copywriting for another project. The mentoring sessions that I received were very productive and aside from the insights that i received, crucially it also got me out of procrastinating and back on target. When I started as the first marketer at a Startup there were a lot of questions in my head and without a team it was getting harder and harder to make all of the decisions by myself.

I would just recommend to allow more than 3 scheduled sessions at a time (not too much, maybe 5?), although I understand the Idea not to bombard mentors with sessions.
