I've been using GTranslate for my website and it's been an absolute game changer. The setup was straightforward, and it instantly made my content accessible to a much wider international audience. From a UK business perspective, it's helped me connect with clients across Europe and beyond without any hassle. Highly recommended for anyone looking to expand globally.

This plugin is bad go grow. Once I started growing using Translated Content getting new traffic and higher Rankings they cut me off.

Saying dialy limits when nowhere in their site that is mentioned.

I think their dev team doesn't have sens what they are currently doing they limit their tech with their knowledge when they could earn both them and the client much more.

Just be aware.

They company does not care about customers. They cancelled my subscription without explanation. Webt back and forth with them and they wouldnt say why. Just dont care. They are so unprofessional.

We cancelled the subscription but they continued charging us on paypal for 4 months!! And now they say they cannot find our account. Its actually quite simple to login into paypal and see the transaction history! Unserious company!!

I used this plugin for years without issues, but this year it has become a real problem. It is unstable, it creates costly errors, and there is no technical support on weekends. When support is available, the team is not skilled enough to fix anything properly. They also don’t invest in improving the plugin, so the same issues keep coming back. This has caused financial losses and operational headaches for us. I do not recommend this plugin to any business looking for a reliable solution.

Too many errors, no 24/7 support to fix these errors. Can't recomment.

The customer support was slow to respond, and the available customization options were quite limited. The interface could be more user-friendly, and the overall performance felt unstable at times. I expected better consistency and reliability from such a service.

Negative Feedback on GTranslate

We purchased the GTranslate module for 299 USD.
We tried to install and integrate it into our site, but after more than 30 days of attempts to adapt it, the module proved to be completely unusable. Because of this long process, we were not eligible for a refund.

⚠️ Main issues:

The module forces you to keep only one base language, removing all existing native languages from your site. All other languages are then generated automatically from that single base language.

If you already run a multilingual website, you risk losing all the SEO you have built over the years for the native languages you remove.

It is not possible to integrate translations into your native site language selector. You must use GTranslate’s selector, which disrupts the structure and user experience of your site.

If you try to force the integration into your own selector, you will face functional and graphical problems (wrong flags displayed, language not persisting when changing pages, etc.).

👉 In conclusion: we wasted 299 USD.
We strongly advise against this module for anyone running an established multilingual e-commerce site. It may only make sense for a brand-new site without any existing SEO.

The safest method remains to manage languages natively within your CMS. Even if it is more time-consuming, it ensures full control and, most importantly, prevents the loss of years of SEO work.

Forget about pricing and support. The real issue here is Google, and I mean SEO.

Gtranslate.io does the worst thing to websites in terms of indexation and SEO. We had a fine working (SEO-wise) shop for a niche in the EU. After installing Gtranslate.io (paid version, hreflang and url translation enabled), our indexation got worse and worse. We monitored it and saw the drops but we needed more time/data. After 6 months it was clear, Gtranslate.io does the worst thing to organic SEO. We deleted the plugin and started over. A few weeks later rankings started to improve again. Now, after just 2 months, we are back. Be aware Gtranslate.io does some weird things in terms of SEO, maybe not in their software or method of working, but Google doesn't like it.

Their translation system is very good.

So far, I'm extremely satisfied with the support and the speed of response. Several corrections were made impeccably by the team. Thank you!

What a complete waste of time.
It seemed easy to use and fast to implement at first, so our company gave it a try using their free version.
When we decided it's good enough for us, we wanted to move forward to the paid version to have more functionality, only to discover that on the paid version you no longer can have your URLs intact, and it's mandatory to change them.
Completely absurd. In the free version you don't have to change any URLs, but then you pay for a subscription and you're no longer able to have that ????
This is the first software in the world where you have less options after paying. What a joke.

Dieses Plugin wird unter Garantie das SEO ihrer Website zerstören! Bis in das Jahr 2023 waren solche Maßnahmen noch erlaubt. Mit dem 2023 eingeführten HCU Update werden solche Übersetzungen als Spam gewertet und ihre Website wird abgestraft.

Keinesfalls installieren! Aus 30.000 Blogartikeln wurden in meiner Search Console 18 Millionen nicht indexierte Seiten. Ohne Worte ...

Pathetic Tool. It just messes up with the SEO value of the website and gradually takes away all the traffic. A strict "No" to this tool if you are looking to grow the website traffic.

After one year and half and over $300 in paid bills, today, the 7th of March 2025, I just deleted GTranslate due to absolutely unprofessional customer support. It’s the worst support I experienced so far since I started using WP 18 years ago. Everything seemed nice, plugin had some issues which was fixed thanks to the support team. Yesterday, I’ve add another “Startup” subscription for my second site (in total $480/year) and I just needed to get some details fixed. Suzan Shahinyan (technical team expert) got in touch with me today. I tried to explain her the issue and she replied in such a disrespectful way that first I needed to read her message a few times as I didn’t believe what I saw. Everybody can have a really bad day, so I decided to kindly ask her to reconsider her behavior in order to give her a chance to make things right but, it just got worse; her answer was “Please don’t make thing complicated for no reason”. So I sent a complaint to the founder Edvard Ananyan and the deputy CEO Rafael Hovhannisyan. Rafael got back to me pretty quickly saying that the conversation went a wrong way. When I asked him to please be more specific about what this actually means, he replied that I wasn’t constructive. So I decided to do a constructive thing and I’ve cancelled all payments and I deinstalled GTranslate. By the way, I was wondering all the time why Google keeps me banned sending me constantly alerts since I’m using GTranslate. Trying to find the complaint page of GTranslate, Google suggested me as first result a link with the title "How GTranslate plugin destroyed our 2M website". Finally, I was able to understand why Google was keeping my website practically unvisible since I started using GTranslate.

Very good.
I am very pleased with their translation for websites which I have been using.
But I am pleased with the service of one of their agents, Vahan, who has been very patient dealing with my enquiry earlier.
I admit I didn't understand at first what he was explaining me, but during the whole exchange ; he has been very professional and patient.

i really think all those 1 start reviews are done by people with no tech skills and do not know how to set this up :)
works like magic on 4 websites - also helps with extra traffic ;)

I switched from Weglot to GTranslate and I have never met such a super good support. Manuel translation is also very easy.
