Main tool for my investing
Their platform have become the center point of my investment toolkit. Not only the huge amount of data available is well presented but it's also good at teaching and explaining the different data.

We track financials for 65,000+ companies (110,000+ stocks) across 100+ countries, with raw financial data sourced from our data vendor Morningstar.
How our data flows (general timelines)
U.S. stocks (SEC filers): For companies that report to the SEC, Morningstar typically delivers the data to us within 48 business hours after the filing is publicly released.
Non-U.S. stocks (non-SEC filers): Morningstar sources financials from official regulators and company websites. Delivery is typically within 10 business days after companies publish their reports.
We’ve reviewed the delays you reported; most involve Japanese and Polish companies.
Japan
In Japan, most quarterly results are posted as earnings releases on company websites, while statutory financials are filed on EDINET (the official disclosure platform). According to Morningstar's data collection policy for Japanese companies, if a company's market capitalization is below USD 10 billion, quarterly financials are not extracted from earnings releases. Since many issuers fall below this threshold, our data vendor sources Japanese financial statement data primarily from EDINET rather than from company websites.
Recently, many issuers have been missing Sep-2024 and Mar-2025 quarterly financials on EDINET, leaving only 6M/12M data in semi-annual/annual reports. This created gaps where our 30-Year Financials page previously expected 3M data. We’ve updated our logic to display 6M figures when quarterly numbers are unavailable.
Poland
For the Polish tickers you flagged, some of your tickets arrived while our data vendor was still processing the data within its collection window. The others were corrected after we escalated the issue to them. As soon as we receive the raw financials, we process and publish them on the site.
Unfortunately, a change of data vendor isn’t feasible right now because:
We require historical continuity (our charts, screeners, and backtests rely on decades of data from the current data vendor).
Vendors differ in methodology and schema (field definitions, calculations, identifiers), requiring extensive re-mapping and re-validation across 110k+ securities.
A switch could introduce new inconsistencies as no vendor is entirely error-free.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. We’ll continue to monitor delivery closely and work with Morningstar to improve turnaround times for non-U.S. companies.
