Please don't use this company.

Unfortunately we had to return two Samsung EVO 2TB SSD Drives to them under warranty.
All was going very well as they said they would replace them under the warranty.

So expecting two replacement drives to be sent to me I was shocked to find I had to pay import tax! Total now £101.92.

I can get the drives from E-Buyer for £50

After speaking to Hanaro.eu via email they just kept fobbing me off say I had to pay. Not that they had got the UPS code wrong!

Pay for a warranty product????

Unfortunately I only found this review after all of this and I can see why Hanaro.eu only get a low rating.

Samsung if you are using this company you need to think again as I will think twice before using a Samsung product like this in the future.

These dealers are not recommended

Disappointing. I placed an order with Hanaro on January 10, 2025 and paid with paypal. Hours later I receive an order confirmation from Samsung-parts.net. Delivery time 3-5 days. On January 16, 2025, I asked Hanaro by email whether the goods were on the way. Didn't get an answer. On January 22, 2025 I asked Samsung-parts.net by email what was happening with the goods I ordered. Didn't get an answer. On January 27, 2025 I complained to Paypal and received my refund. On January 28, 2025 I will receive another order confirmation from samsung-parts.net with a new order number. These dealers are not recommended. It's better to order goods somewhere else. Goods still not received.

Super simple RMA

Super simple RMA! They were super kind. I even called the office to ask for help. They were really available. In my case was a faulty 870EVO. everything in one week.

Received the replacement in one week.

It took one week to receive a replacement Samsung EVO 870 SSD after my RMA request phone call. Three pictures of the drive and a proof of purchase were needed. My early 2021 SSD (known for bad sectors problems) was replaced by a new end of 2023 SSD of the same model.
The Samsung website wasn't clear about how to start the RMA request for SSDs.

Poor Samsung RMA Experience

They just sent my external SSD back, didn't even repair it. And it was a nightmare getting it back because it was stuck in customs for nearly two weeks with a charge of £50 VAT and duty pending. They couldn't seem to sort it out. In the end it was me who had to sort it out and get DHL to release the shipment. Now they want me to take videos to prove it's still faulty even though I took videos a day or two before the drive was sent to them and they admit they haven't done anything with it. So the drive is in exactly the same state as when I sent it. This is utterly tedious and has put me off buying Samsung products ever again.

Disappointing RMA procedure

Disappointing RMA procedure. It was hard to even find out who to contact about a broken Samsung 980 pro. After getting the email they told me to do various disk tests etc instead of just letting me send it back. Because not everyone knows about the things they tell you to do, they were quite complicated. It took me 4 days to pass all the tests. You also need to send them photos of the drive from each side, screenshots of all tests, etc. Many emails sent. And finally, they send you a DHL courier where you have to print the shipping label yourself, because they don't do it.

After losing 1.5 tb and no recovery of my lost data. I feel disappointed by their return process and it certainly doesn't encourage me to buy more Samsung products.

Painful service procedures, not customer oriented

This company is being used by Samsung Netherlands to provide the handling of service and warranty claims made by customers in The Netherlands. Their level of service is far below what can be expected for Samsung products. It took me 5 emails and the same amount of phone calls to them to even get them started on an RMA procedure. After that, you have to fill in so many online forms that this company looks more like a bureaucratic organisation generating only red tape. And technically it does not work either, because RMA labels sent to you by email by them cannot be printed as a label.

Although they are in The Netherlands, they almost have no Dutch speaking employees to communicate with their Dutch customers, which complicates the communication with them. I take it that if you do business in non English speaking countries you provide in a service desk with native (in this case Dutch) speaking service employees.
Very frustrating and certainly not the way customer relationships should be maintained.

Eventually I got my disfunctional Samsung product replaced, but my experience with this kind of painful service quality is certainly not going to be an incentive to buy Samsung products in the near future...
