We now have a kitchen that we love which is down to the excellent care and attention of Claire, Helen and Steven. They were all incredibly customer focussed by listening to our needs and caring about what they produced always ensuring that we were happy. They were very professional with an overriding sense of kindness especially when things did not go to plan. They say ‘you buy from people’ which in our case is very true. From the very first meeting with Claire in the Harrogate showroom she inspired us which she maintained right the way throughout the process. My husband & I had a design consultation with Claire at the harrogate branch and we were blown away by her passion & knowledge for harvey jones kitchens. We had to bring our children along with us to the appointment and Claire was so accommodating with the 4 of us - thank you so much claire once again!

We wanted to take a few minutes to just share a bit of feedback now that our kitchen has been installed for a good week and we have been able to ‘enjoy’ our new kitchen surroundings.

Firstly and upfront we want to say that we’re very happy! We’ve already undertaken a few home entertainment ‘events’ and everything has worked as planned and everyone has been very impressed with what we’ve done, the quality of the work, the finish and overall impression.

I know we hit a few bumps in the road along the way (as is inevitably the case with such a project), but we can only say that once we had alerted HJ to our concerns everyone pulled out all the stops to get things back on the rails again ….so thank you and all the HJ team for that!

We remember very clearly our first meeting with Claire when she first came to our home to hear what we had in mind. Claire changed our mind very significantly on a couple of issues and then when the initial drawings / plans materialised it was clear that what she was recommending was the way to go!

Once we had ‘committed’ to going with HJ the handover to the project management team was seamless and effective. Steve M has been very professional, effective, diligent and reliable in all respects - and at all times very ably supported by Cassandra, whose heart probably sank every time she saw an email or call from us!

The fitters / painters have similarly all been of a high standard. We’ve passed on more detailed feedback to Steve but on the whole it’s all been very very positive.

In any event and most importantly, we wanted to say a genuine ’thank-you’ and ‘well done’ to all those HJ personnel who are copied in on this email and all those at HJ who must have contributed significantly in the background (cabinet makers etc, etc) who have made our kitchen ambitions come true!

I knew I wanted a Harvey Jones kitchen when I fell in love with the Arbor design while looking for ideas in their Birmingham showroom. Our renovation project actually took us 13 years of scheming and then 7 years fighting the legal side before we got the go ahead. Two years before the end of that period I contacted Harvey Jones to start the ball rolling. Katy from the Harrogate shop was just fabulous and came up with a design that worked wonderfully with our tiny space. We had a very definite idea of the style and vibe we were going for and she just 'got' us completely. She also knew our budget was tight and didn't pressure us into spending more than we were comfortable with. And although we weren't buying as many units as most people, we were never treated as if we were lesser clients. Katy was easy to chat to and never too busy to answer our questions. There was a sale on at that time so we made a deposit and were assured that the price would be held at that level for the next 2 years, which was very important for us as the builders hadn't even started work at that point. And true to their word two years later when we eventually ordered our kitchen it was at the same price they had promised. By this time Katy had moved on and the lovely Beth had taken on her clients. Beth was very excited to see our space so came to visit too, and also checked our original design would still work as we could now measure the actual space. We changed it slightly to fit the space better and I had also sourced a bespoke brass sink so the sink unit had to be bespoke too. I wanted a drawer below the sink and Beth made that happen. We were only buying the units from Harvey Jones and our builder was fitting them and I was sourcing the hardware and painting them to save money. Everything went as smoothly as it could. The units arrived safely exactly when they were supposed to, along with extra filler pieces in case the builders needed them. They were all beautifully packaged and looked absolutely stunning, so luxurious. The builders were really impressed with the build quality, and after I explained that they were fixed to a baton on the wall (as Beth had instructed) they had no problem fitting them. I easily painted them and am so pleased with the result. They are everything I dreamed of and more, and we have had so many compliments on our kitchen. Harvey Jones have been such a joy to work with from start to finish, we couldn't have achieved such a stunning kitchen without them and I would recommend them to anyone.

We've met Lewis on 3 occasions now. He's great and with much, much better taste than me. If everybody applied the same thoughtfulness and expertise to their jobs as he does...I'd be delighted. What an outstanding ambassador for HJ Kitchens; he has made what I thought might be an onerous experience something I've ( almost ) enjoyed :-). Great transparency on price as well.
